Vestibule Terror

This is a party supplies store in a strange heat wave at the end of October. Warm latex masks, cheap melted chocolate, synthetic sweet fog machine, good lord this is so nostalgic. Its mildewy walls and rubber streaked floors. Little plastic bags of jacks and bouncy balls, gold coins and slimy hand slappers. I wanted to be a vampire for halloween so bad. Spent too long looking over the laminated wall of costume options for a black velvet dress. The one with deep scalloped sleeves and purple ribbon accents. I had miraculously talked me mom into buying me realistic vampire teeth. The kind where you would warm the wax in hot water, mold it to your canines and then decide you never want to take them out again. Never felt more myself. I did take them out, however, to eat candy and drink dry ice punch. Woke up on November, went to find them and put them back in only to learn my mom had thrown them away. Thats the reason I am evil today. Anyway. This is very similar to 1969s Female Christ. I now have two very mildew forward chocolate fragrances. How blessed I am.

This is a more refined take on a scent like Boccanera withiout the synthetic in-your-face attitude noticeable throughout Gaultieris catalogue. Potatoes and wasabi/pepper serve as the opening, and they really gracefully introduce the main ingredient- chocolate. And the chocolate in this scent is really elegant, albeit weirdly moist, which is not a bad thing. The pollen is noticeable and gives the chocolate a nice depth and adds a powdery facet to the whole experience. If the ataraxia release was more potent then damn, that must've been something, but this rerelease is certainly not bad, I would dare to say it is really great!

An incredible dusty, moldy, gourmand. For me, the chocolate and peppers are the most noticeable, with an old "off" scent that all toskovat fragrances have. Reminds me of those calculators from elementary school that look and smell like a chocolate bar. One of my favorites from the brand.

I don't know how the original smells like but from what I've heard this one is milder but I LOVE IT. For me, it smells like a wet cobblestone corridor in Dracula's castle as you pass trough rusty iron armours. It's such a nice date night summer scent imo.

I have a bottle, and holy moly is it pungent. starts off with this dirty, spicy dark chocolate with a hint of mildew, drying down into the most soft, musty pollen smell, like wading through a field of daffodils. it definitely captures the smell of an old, yet still in use, decrepit building collecting smells from the generations its been alive, like a dusty church, festering with fetid odours and relics collecting dust cumulating into one whole smell of warmth and almost community, it’s a smell which feels nostalgic yet recollects no memories to me. if you ever have the chance to smell it, do it, I wouldnt miss out. 7.5/10

Spicy, chocolatey greatness, like a far better version of Orto Parisi's Boccanera without the screechy ambers overdose. This has a nutty quality to it, like the chocolate was mixed with peanuts or hazelnuts or something like that. The spices are dosed perfectly, nowhere near as overwhelming as you'd expect looking at the notes here. Big fan of this one and the dry down is even better, it smells like a creamy chocolate pudding. Might be my favorite Toskovat

I get mostly wasabi and chocolate at the first sniff but then the chili pepper and turmeric come in. And it's like each time I sniff its a combo of those 4 notes. The dusty antique shop or dusty clothes smell is quite accurate, I can say for sure as I own a vintage clothing shop in a 150 year old building lol. oh, and @GoHuYang ...grow up.

pretty bad tbh, I love toskovat but this was dissapointing, sold my bottle instantly, idk about the og vestibule but this one is ass, I only smell wasabi and maybe get some dustiness from the pollen. Dont get me wrong I love challening fragrances, but this isnt even that challenging just kinda poorly made imo, was expecting way more. Also charging 500+ for the new release of take me to church is insane, dude is ruining his brand lol

This thing became quite disgusting. Had the chance to smell the original formulation under the collab between Toskovat and Ataraxia and it really had a heart to it. Excepected the same from this one too, but it is too sharpy and not much effort put into it. Just look at the photo on Fragrantica. Really dissapointed with everything Toskovat had been doing lately. The marketing thing with Betrayal set and now the 700$ Domus Numeni. He is such a good perfumer but all this just is just diverging from his previous values.

hooolly disgusting. On my skin it smells like an extremly sharp and spicy pollen with some veggy and herbal vibes, on the samples cap tho, it smells like molded or old/dusty nuts with again, extremly spicy vasabi. It does really remind me of betrayel, since how sharp and disgustnig it is. But like fr, this may be the most disgusting fragrance i've ever smelled. Every time i smell it one more time, i gag 2x more stronger. 0/10

Got both to compare and posted picture for you fam of Ataraxia Vestibule vs Toskovat so you stop believing everything that David says as he's a liar and sca*mer. Ataraxia og version is not only much more richer in color, but in intensively & longevity. Oils concentration is definitely higher, extract the perfume. Above all of that for me it's more dusty, spicy and creamier. Would dare to say that they have more accords or better quality oils. On skin last more than 6h, while on clothes more than a day. Toskovat on the other hand has almost white liquid, "extract the memoire" whatever it means... It blast you with synthetics instead of dusty potatoes, out of most notes horse radish is most noticeable along with bit of chocolate. Again it feels like 2 accords mixed together without original character. Gone form my skin after 3h. Whenever if you are a David fan and been manipulated to hate Ataraxia or you don't care about the drama. I highly recommend to check out Ataraxia as their quality and artistry are indisputable.

@xmissingpeacex Maybe is YOU who should grow up. 😅 I mean, the guy who says David is a scamer has a valid point- Your "perfumer" lacks any education in Perfumery, his "creations" are just some failed experiments for suckers who buy that bullshitE, thinking they are "outside of the box", "connoiseurs" when in fact is all a stupid veil. Gilded. But hey! We are all happy if you are happy! We are just not 'naive' enough to believe any marketing story we're told. Maybe you haven't noticed, but being an influenker or a perfumer is the most career these days. Maybe that should red flag u when chosing a perfume. Thank God for real Perfumery still available on the market. As far as I can tell, smelling as a rotting rat doesn't make u cool.

Wet concrete, HQ c0k3 and wasabi. In the drydown become a davana patchouli frag, like H Boss Elixir and Abdsolu. Worth the cost, nuclear. H Boss Elixir and Abdsolu has a weak sill, this One Is a 5m×5m room filler, the nose go blind and you doubt It, but It fills rooms. Not safe tò bb I like It althoguh its unwearable (said from a green eyes pale skin with freckles, 160cm 45 kg with 65 cm waist, curly Brown shoulder lenght hairy, White big teeth with a beautiful left tilted nose, Daddy issues, a poodle as a dog and a unforgettable smile and laugh, even when Is forced or fake, a 10/10 technocaly. Sitll a good frag, let It macerate for a y and kets see what hapoens

one of the few fragrances where i actually smell all of the notes and accords listed. It smells like someone took chocolate and potato skins and covered them with wasabi and turmeric, while dragging it through a haunted house, if you can imagine that. 8/10

Im sick of this perfume stuff. all this niche artistic bs man. Im gonna sell every perfume and decant I own and buy myself Dior Homme Intense and Acqua di Gio and delete this Fragnatica account. I hate you all
