Fleurs Sauvages

This may very well be the most prismatic scent in Teone Reinthal's collection. Fleurs Sauvages gives off different facets every time I smell it. The complexity is totally bewildering and unexpected coming from what seems like a straightforward 'green floral' blend. It smells different when I applied this morning compared to last night, it smells different when applied to different parts of my arm, and it smells different at varying stages of the perfume's development. The opening is compellingly rich and buttery, the olfactory equivalent of orris root butter (though not a note in Fleurs). And then it suddenly morphs into a delicate verdant wildflower. It becomes decidedly green and stemmy, almost as if you're walking through a grassy meadow, an effect no doubt from immortelle and reinforced by the vegetal ambrette. At times, it takes on a sweet tea/chamomile tisane facet with soothing healing vibes, courtesy of blue tansy. (As a side note, I've used blue tansy during a rather vulnerable episode of my life and its gentle therapeutic properties is something very close to my heart) I'd say the essence of Fleurs Sauvages is that of mischievous woodland sprites. It surprises you at every turn in a lighthearted playful way. It might also play a game of "now you see it now you don't" with you. Not surprisingly, it doesn't have a lengthy drydown stage. Manifesting and disappearing, it leaves you wondering about your elfin adventure.

This is a deep, dark, labyrinthine honeysuckle hedge surrounding a white witch's healing herb garden. Teone Reinthal takes a simple scent and transforms it into a fairy tale narrative. I've come to the conclusion she's classically shamanic: her perfumes exude a soulful magic and although they aren't always entirely pleasant (take Black Spruce, for example, where the handsome huntsman is a bit on the nose), there's a unique quality to everything I've sampled which makes her perfumes interesting and exploratory. Don't buy these perfumes without trying them first. People looking for pretty designer-style scents might not enjoy this one, or some of the others I've sampled, as much as they might once their collection is large and their goal is olfactory journeying rather than attracting attention. My only issue with Fleurs Sauvages is it's life span; it lasts no more than an hour on my skin, which, at the price per bottle, makes it a less attractive purchase than some of her other longer-lasting beauties. Very nice and natural smelling. It really smells like a field of wildflowers. Also reminds me a bit of chamomile tea. One of my favorites from this line. They are all very high quality and expertly blended but I’m not crazy about the amber accord used in lots of her other fragrances. It has something bitter underneath that keeps me from loving them. But this to me is beautiful and unlike any other perfume I’ve ever smelled!

It can't say simply "fresh scent", because it has something wild. Should I say "Fresh and verdant wild flowers"? Though it has coolness like a rock crystal, is so mild. Fleurs Sauvages may perfect marriage of Honeysuckle and Lavender with Immortelle. I love it. I've already used half of it in my cute small bottle.

Have tried this perfume and it's amazing! Fresh and sweet and beautiful, makes me wants to eat it!

I' m a really particular guy who can't stand a lot of overpowering and unoriginal perfumes. I love this perfume! It's got a distinct zing that I can't get enough of and is definitely not just for the ladies. I wear it everyday, and really dig the all-natural botanical vibe!

Well this is awkward! Not as awkward as a tattoo spelled wrong or meaning something ridiculous without the person knowing, but still: "fleurs" being plural, it should be "fleurs sauvages"... (The composition seems nice though!)

I have this perfume! It's a very gentle, unique and long-lasting scent. With all the compliments I've been receiving, it's easily become my favourite perfume to wear everyday.
