Night Song Devotion

My GOD this is a masterpiece. I'm refraining from using expletives to emote my passion out of pure respect for this beauty. This royal nectar is worth its weight in rubies. And HOW... tell me how am I supposed to go back to synthetic oud after this? Now I fully understand those who say once you experience genuine oud in all of its truth... it will spoil you. I want more. Please. Don't talk to me about the price. Leave me alone. One of these days I wouldn't mind blowing a solid grand on a full-sized crystal bottle of Night Song Devotion, without shame. My decant will suffice for now. On to the juice. Two sprays to the chest, and a spritz to both sides of my neck. I sit here in the warm mystere of dark chocolate, Hindi oud, and a surprisingly sultry champaca. I smell those the most, but everything else is very much present: the sandalwood, the myrrh, the tobacco, followed by minute trails of vanilla. I find it difficult to detect the divine lotus anywhere. The blend is strong and heady, leans masculine if anyone cares. But it's as sexual as the description leads on. Unapologetically, deeply seductive... which are the fragrances I love the most; the ones that seduce me. It's easy to like a fragrance, yes. But to be seduced by one? That is pure poetry. This is poetry. It's decadent, it's proud... but it's also raw, vulnerable, and carnal; a reflection of our humanity. Look into the mirror that is Night Song Devotion. Because of the notes, one would call this a winter scent. No. I'm wearing this in Texas summer heat, and couldn't be happier. Wear it when you want the experience. It does get very bitter on the dry-down after a few hours, just a heads up. TRNP is about to be my new favorite perfume house. Real, natural ingredients carefully infused with the wisdom of the earth and of the ancients. A Holy Grail in perfumery.
