Rosa - Limited Edition

Rosa is a red rose made neon red. Look at the juice. What a stunning color! It smells the way it looks. Tricks are being played though. What you will smell is not strictly Reinthal’s magnificent rose otto material, every facet of the rose otto accord has been amplified by supporting characters to push each facet into overdriven neon presentations. The magnolia pushes the fruity, creamy, fleshy facets into colors of whites and oranges as vivid as white stars and mandarin oranges. Narcissus pushes the green edges and the pollen-laden honeys to galactic plasmatic greens and the radiance of gold. Tuberose the heady and vanillic facets to enormous and oily plumes. Rosewood, cedar, and balsams the earthy and peppery woodiness like the woods are thumping with their own heartbeats, saps and oils oozing from them with every thud. The dry down focuses on the floral woody amber layer of the perfume, as with the preceding sections it smells whole, complete, and achingly gorgeous. To call this a simple perfume is probably a reductive statement. It smells simple. It smells minimalist. But it smells so whole and complete, as I mentioned, that it certainly cannot be simple. All natural materials when they are extracted very well and handled by very capable hands like Reinthal’s need not much help to be compelling, but this simply cannot be Mother Nature strictly speaking. This is up there with Nahema, Sa Majeste La Rose, La Fille de Berlin, and other rose perfumes of that echelon. Excellent stuff.

The rose of my dreams! Rosa is an exciting seductress. Starts with a blast of civet which continues to purr gently as a dark ambery, creamy, velvety rose emerges. This makes me feel very empowered. Very high quality. Excellent performance. Highly recommended!

A Marilyn/Magdalene rose that blooms wine-dark and jam-red inside a NeoBaroque reliquary. Veiled by smoky resins, a wink of civet, like someone flashing you a nipple while you gaze at a saint's jeweled bones. Wear this and repent nothing.
