Amber Waves

I'm really surprised there are not any reviews on this yet. I will admit when I got it, I was not sure how I felt about it at first. It was a full bottle free gift with another fragrance I had ordered. Ironically, gourmands are my favorite, but the scent I ordered was not gourmand and more summer oriented. Anyhoo, I am usually not big on fig notes so would not have ordered this blindly. The bottle is beautiful. Love the rose gold. First time I tried it, I got a lot of amber and some fig so was not sure about it. I did notice it is strong and lingers for a long time. Great projection. After a few hours, there was an amazing creamy rich sweet amber-woody scent left over. I could not stop sniffing my wrist. The scent was also in my hair and just amazing. A few days later I decided to give it another try and LOVE it. The only time I get fig is at the beginning. It is mostly a very sweet, creamy, gourmand sandalwood amber all around. The base of this reminds me a lot of Jessica Simpson's Fancy. I have not wore Fancy in a long time, but I was immediately reminded of it. This has more of a creamy gourmand feel to it. I say give it a try if you are into gourmand scents! And if it is does not work at first give it a while. The promos they did for this were pretty spot on with the pictures of cake and stuff. This is pretty heavy so more of a fall/winter fragrance in my opinion even though I am wearing it today when it is supposed to be 101 degrees lol
