Crush

I'm going off a vague scent memory of this fragrance, so forgive me for the lack of detail. But, it's probably been 17 years since I've smelled this. I recall having a couple of rollerballs from Anchor Blue. One (my favorite), I cannot remember the name of, and this. I distinctly remember Crush being more floral than the other fruitier one (which smelled of guava). I also remember Crush *not* being the one I liked to wear around the guy I actually *did* like at the time, ironically, and that this fragrance had a more grown-up, classic profile. I would probably enjoy this more now in my 30s than I did as a teenager. What I do recall this smelling like was peony, a floral tone I, a Millennial, was quite familiar with because in the 2000s peony was everywhere. However, this was less fusty than some peonies, very fresh and vibrant, and somewhat transparent. It's odd that there are so many notes listed....especially the oakmoss. That certainly didn't make it's presence known, and even though I can't give precise note breakdowns now, I say with certainty that this looks SO much heavier by the alleged notes than it actually was. The majority of mall perfumes at the time were very fresh, this was no exception. A bouncy, fresh peony with fruity musk. Actually, this was pretty standard for it's time, and unremarkable. Yet, it was special to me because I only had a fraction of the collection I do now, and this sort of thing made a very specific impression on me in my formative years.
