This is absolutely beautiful, and I am glad I decided to sample it. A friend of mine on here wears this often and said she couldn't get enough of it. That had me curious, so I decided to get a sample of it for free in an order from ministry of Scent. I am usually very picky about green fragrances, but this is the prettiest green fragrance I have ever smelled. I agree with the review below mine This is a beautiful lush humid rose enveloped by velvety green notes. That is a very accurate description of this fragrance. It's just something I can't stop smelling. It leans feminine But I would actually enjoy this on a man as well. I agree with the brand's description of the fragrance. Wearing this you will feel at one with nature. Absolutely stunning. This is what niche perfumery should be, and I am very impressed with this fragrance. I know it's kind of out of season right now to wear the sample, but I can't wait to wear this. I just know I'm going to love wearing it. FB worthy. Bought a FB. Worth the money. Stunning perfume, balanced with an even performance from opening to dry down. Familiar scent in that you can recognize the rose, but still unique because of the moody, darker direction it takes. I don’t think I’ve smelled anything as captivating as this. The scent takes you, and anyone who catches a whiff of it, on a fantastical journey. The way it triggers the imagination is quite stirring. I am tempted to wear this everyday but I save it for special occasions. Like a beautiful evening dress, coat, or bag that signals your individuality without being too loud and inauthentic. This is timeless, easily a signature scent, gracefully bold. My mother smelled it on me (she is unforgivingly picky when it comes to fragrance—and also the person that got me into fragrance of course) and she immediately said, “you have found your scent and companion”

I love fragrances like this! Deep and complex but not heavy. Multi-season and multi-occasion without being bland. Fresh and rich at the same time. I can't stop smelling my wrist. Alphelie is a green leaning rose that is not powdery or overly floral. There is a syrupy aspect to it, but it's not cloying. The fragrance has a soft, sweet depth from the tonka. The greens and moss doesn't dominate, but complement. All the notes work together in harmony. This scent is very evocative and you can see just how consistent the imagery is in other reviews: ivy covered abandoned houses and churches with unkempt rose gardens. It really does transport you somewhere else. Like others have said, the similarity to Diptyque's L'Ombre Dans L'Eau is there. I like both. This has more longevity though!

I love this! But since I own Luna by Penhaligons I will not buy this one. Luna is like the Watercolor Sister of this saturated rosy and green beauty. If you aren't hard on your self for buying sibling scents, go for it tho. They are still two vwry distinked parfums. But I think it discribed best as Luna being the pastel airy youngster and Aphelie is the mature bruder older woman. She is heavyer, sweeter but also boudier and much much darker. While Luna stays light, rosy and transparent, Aphelie starts to lose her Rose and become resiounes, Insence like. Dabbeling in esotheric practises for a bit. Two very diffrent sisters indeed. But alas I am on a tight buget. For now. Uodate I got a travel vile and i am very happy I did :-)

Imagine distilling the atmosphere of a full moon that is revealing ivy-covered ruins hidden in dense forest and you have this masterpiece. Emphatically yet elegantly green, the ivy and cassis combination is fresh and invigorating, with solid projection and longevity. There are few notes but it still has a depth to it that leaves not one of them redundant. A newly budded rose lingers to the side and the other notes serve as a firm woody base, all blended with sublime composition. A much more refined and captivating L'Ombre Dans L'Eau.

This is such a beautiful fragrance. The sandalwood is blended perfectly with the cassis and ivy to create a woody green perfume that is rich and complex but not heavy. The oakmoss grounds it with a lovely earthy character. It smells like walking into an old wooden church with ivy climbing up the walls and moss on the ground. It‘s woody, green, fresh, and earthy. Great performance and definitely unisex.

I got it for my birthday this year. I learnt about it from an article here in Fragrantica and i blind-bought it. The rose essence used is of very high quality. The composition is so fine, almost poetic. I am happy with my choice. The brand also gifted me a cameo scented with their latest fig fragrance, for fig-lovers i would say its a must try.

Flowery at first then green, then flowery again, then fluctuates to a sweet blackcurrent note and then is green once more. It has an intriguing dark aroma beneath the spring like floral top note, as if we strayed from the path through the meadow and drifted towards the ivy covered ruined church in search of black berries.

@ilonachka does a beautiful job describing this fragrance—except for me, this is exactly my type of rose. I love “rose in a forest” type of fragrances and this might be the best one I’ve come across. Absolutely love it!

I am a Diptyque superfan and really enjoy L'Ombre Dans L'Eau but prefer Trudon's Aphélie as I find it less dense and so very sexy. Such a romantic yet somewhat modern take on rose and ivy. Absolutely gorgeous!

L'Ombre's first, maybe second cousin. I think I like them better. There's something lighter here, whereas the former is moodier.

Airy summer green floral for me. So gentle, so dreamy. I'll let it dry down a bit to test the performance, too.

- Minimalist and transparent as it is, Aphelia is too lovely a scent to throw the “B” word upon —— I won’t call it “boring”, let’s just settle for “simple and beautiful”. The currant leaves are the hero here: green, puckery, tingly, sour , you won’t mistake it for anything else. Before you get tired of this seemingly unchanging, unending solo, the rather acerbic currant took a turn to a more innocent, tender directions , tender like crushed petals or unopened bud, I don’t get any distinct “rose” notes, only this sour green tenderness betrayed its presence. I may even caught an illusion of its green calyx (ivy?) at the corner of my eyes. But it swayed back to unchanging, unending solo of currant leaves again. After I lost interest and it turned to a skin scent, the base notes were exposed: completely different from what’s perceived before, I can detect the coconut-ish and paper-pulp-ish overtone of synthetic sandalwood , and a sour-sweet dark woody core (labdanum + tonka?). Is it a pleasant scent? Yes. Is it worth the full bottle price? Hell no.

I can never restrict myself to a signature scent, but L'Ombre Dans L'Eau would be the closest pick. But I have a strange affinity to looking for similar scent profiles, for greener grass if you will, even though every time I come to realise I will not replace my fave. Aphelie is definitely in the same vein, however I find it denser, woodier, and with a vintage slant. The greenness it a little more bitter, and the oakmoss overpowers it a little however this is purely by comparison to LDL. It is quite strong in presence and it is a wonderful quality fragrance in its own right. But I still prefer LDL for the tasteful fruity whispers and the slightly fresher aspects.

If the opening persuades you that Aphelia is rosy, romantic perfume for ladies, then the melting will lead you astray. Green and mossy, refreshing nuances are prevailing: not black currant (as in L'Ombre Dans L'Eau), mostly Oakmoss and Sandalwood. It is balanced combination, slightly masculine. Makes my day comfy and beautiful... --- Projection is good and don't fades: longevity almost 7-8hrs.

I can understand the comparison to Diptyque L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, however (and it looks like I'm in the minority with this opinion...) I think the Diptyque is so much better. Aphelie opens with a blast of rose, cassis buds, and oakmoss--it's the oakmoss that bothers me so much. IMO, the oakmoss also gives it a bit of a vintage/dated vibe (not a bad thing). The opening is dry, bitter, and green; I'm not a fan of the opening. It does become quite nice after about the first 20-30 minutes as the oakmoss dissipates, and the rose and tart berries take center stage...it also feels like there is pink pepper in here. The performance on this is outstanding- nice projection and lasts all day.

This is a soaking wet, green, mossy Rose that grows in the abandoned garden or a forest covered with clouds. She is cold, calm, simple and well rounded. She is not the center stage, in your face kind of flower. She likes the back stage, as a supporting character. She is smooth, fragile and ever so slightly sweet. As if made out of a fragile crystal that can break any moment at the slightest of touch. Not my type of a ROSE. -Pass

IT STARTS SO BEAUTIFULLY - THE IVY TOGETHER WITH OAKMOSS, WITH A BUT OF LIGHT ROSE ON THE BACKGROUND - IT MAKES IT SMELL LIKE FRESHLY CUT FLOWER STEMS, SO JUICY, CRISP AND GREEN, I WANT TO SMELL MORE OF IT. Unfortunately the green notes are gone after about 10 minutes. And what is left is a very heavy rose with sandalwood. It gives me “crystal shop” vibes. And that lasts for several hours, quite intensely.

I expected an enchanting, fresh, green rose, something appropriate for spring days and evenings... but what I experienced with this perfume is an ambience of a smoker's car intensively sprayed on a stuffy day with a synthetic "forest" air freshener. It is nauseating to me.

I got a sample of this with another purchase and... Oh boy, oh boy! This is special! Where I live, the snow has started to melt away (much earlier than usual) and this scent captures the wet grass and soil just after the snow is gone. There is the earthyness, the herbaceousness and the promise of future growth. We are still in the low plus degrees (Celsius, equals around 41F°) and the air is crisp and cool which compliments the fragrance just perfectly, giving it the kind of freshness with a ever so light sweetness that guarantees a smile and an uplift on each ware. I just checked the notes and of course, the rose is there! I'm more of a floral than a green lover so of course there had to be the rose to catch me! To rephrase: There is a floral element, but it is such a perfect blend that the overall effect is more of a nature awakening than something green with rose i.e. a green rose. Would very much recommend as a early spring scent or as a uplifting aromatherapy treat for anyone who is looking foar a natural walk in the country type of a perfume.

🏚️ Wild Garden by an Abandoned House 🌹 The old house has stood empty for years, but nature hasn't forgotten it. Blackcurrant bushes have wrapped around the entire porch, their wet leaves glistening after the morning rain. I push through the thicket of shrubs, and every touch leaves cold droplets on my skin and the scent of juicy greenery. Roses have broken through the windows and now grow freely, smelling sweet and innocent. The wind sways the wet branches, and I walk along the narrow path I once walked barefoot. Everything here is wet, fresh, girlish. Blackcurrant leaves rustle beneath me, and their scent bites gently at my nostrils – sour, green, full of life. Between the bushes I spot the remains of a garden – where vegetables once grew, wild flowers now bloom. The house sleeps, windows closed, but the garden lives. Nature has reclaimed what's hers and is more beautiful than ever. Aphélie smells like this forgotten garden – wet, sweet, and very feminine. @the.scent.files

The wine lees vibe of Salute! mixed with the opening of Rose & Cuir - geranium (unlisted here)/rose combo sans the IBQ . Much less woody/sharp compared to the PdE, and to me much easier to wear. I also get a passing glimpse of Acne Studios par Frederic Malle in the rosy soapiness - again, sans aldehydes. Really nice moss /powdered touch with the green, sweet almost citric ivy peaking through. Men who jive with Cristalle EDT and Iris Bleu Gris will get a kick out of this - like I do. Very pleasantly surprised, as I added a sample on a whim based on a Persolaise review. Bruma was my initial hope for the brand, but this stole the show for my wife and I - planning to split a 15ml.

Aphelie is a stunning fragrance - Like if The Noir 29 woke up the next morning, washed her face, and traipsed into the garden for some journaling. But she never once loses the sense of regality: her dressing robe is embroidered silk. This is definitely a green fragrance, though not cut grass or galbanum green. More spicy ivy with a little jammyness from the Cassis. I am picky with my rose, but Aphelie manages to find the perfect balance with it: Green and jammy and fresh spicy without nearing heaviness or soapiness. A rare fragrance that is 100% fitted for all seasons and communicates calm, classy confidence.

Very beautiful and unique fragrance. I’ve already gone through two travel sizes. It’s quite a heavy fragrance with notes of rose, black currant, cassis/green, Ivy, some spice from the sandalwood or oak moss. It’s pleasant. Clean, wet floral, almost incense like to me. It can be overpowering so two sprays should be enough.

It opens with the delicate freshness of rose essence and green ivy. Immediately a blush pink rose with a very long green stem that has had its thorns removed. As the scent unfolds, the sandalwood lends a creamy and slightly spiced touch that makes everything beautifully balanced.

I can’t emphasize how much more pleasant this is to my nose than L’Ombre Dans L’Eau, something in that blend was legitimately sickening to me which I was surprised by. At any rate, a similar scent idea executed far better here to my nose.

You walk through a dark green, rain-soaked garden to your auntie's house. Inside it is warm, and candles are burning. Wearing eyeliner and a black cashmere sweater, she serves you hot tea and biscuits with rose jam.

A beautiful rose enveloped by velvet green notes. Aphelie is humid and dark green. This could easily be a Trudon candle. There's a royalty aura in here.
