I disagree with other comments calling this fragrance boring or generic. If you're not into citrus scents, then I guess it would be. But I've been looking for a good citrus scent for the summer (and, sadly, the heatwaves that now go with it in Europe) that isn't just clean or a simple cologne, and I've compared Médie with: Concentré d'orange verte by Hermès (which Médie has been compared to below), Bigarade Concentrée by Frédéric Malle, Eau d'Hadrien by Goutal, Fleurs de citronnier by Lutens, Cristalle EDT by Chanel, Orange Leaf and Bergamot by Perfumer H, Oyedo by Diptyque, and several colognes from Guerlain. (I have yet to compare it to Eau Sauvage and Terre d'Hermès.) Médie is definitely my favourite. I hated the yuzu in Oyedo, which reminded me so much of grapefruit juice (which I dislike) in a very sharp, sulfuric and agressive way. Here the grapefruit (yet still not my favourite fruit at all) is drier, very zesty and bitter. I can confirm that the drydown is comparable to Concentré d'orange verte on my skin, but Médie has something more. The bright and bitter grapefruit coupled with the crisp, slightly herbal "vert de mandarine" note that also brings just a touch of sweetness, the green aromatic spine of the resinous cypress, a touch of earthy vetiver to extend the freshness into the drydown, and the woody frame of the cedar (not listed in the pyramid) to give it structure and longevity, I find it very addictive. (I can't really pick out the Sambac jasmine note but I read online that it "softens the woods and adds sensuality".) It also seems to stick better to my skin in the heat than the aforementioned contenders. (Frankincense is listed in the pyramid but not on the official website.)

Trudon's Médie: summertime is here - summertime, summertime, summertime, yaay! The intense summertime of early July in a Mediterranean country - where those of us from the north of the globe can't quite believe sunshine this intense and glorious actually exists and oh isn't hot and oooo - I need to rest because it's so beautiful and hot and what am I doing in this garden on top of the Mount of Transfiguration at midday having climbed up a steep semi - mountain in bright white sunshine - eating grapes to stay hydrated but oh- it's so wonderful but I need to lie down in the shade so I rest under a stone bench near some lush green shrubs that smell of tangerine, salt and orange ice lollies. This is the scent of Médie - and then at dusk drink Arabic coffee with cardamon watching minuscule bats crawl up the walls of this ancient Palestinian villa on the tips of their wing claws. I still smell Médie on my arms, both sweet and bitter. Happiness!

I had to try this one a couple of times. At first- I hated it: Citrus and my least favorite scent in a perfume: jasmine. But through the wear, I kept getting a very odd but intriguing vibe. After a couple of wearings, I figured out what the mystery smell was (Ambergris) and I realized that I really, really like this fragrance. It starts with a strong, believable grapefruit leaning citrus, then goes through a jasmine (think jasmine tea) phase and settles into a woodsy- ambergris base that lasts until the end. I have since purchased it and have been alternating it with my usual daily perfume. I have amassed a huge collection of frags as I love fragrances, both for home and body and I think this is a solid perfume.

This is a fantastic fresh and aromatic fragrance. I could only give it's lasting power a moderate rating, as after three to four hours it becomes more of a skin scent. Nonetheless, it is a great fragrance. Perhaps using an Escentric Molecule Ambroxan, ISO E Super, or scentless lotion would improve it's longevity. If you are a fan of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Forever or Light Blue Intense, you will definitely love Trudon Medie. I will definitely be a repeat buyer of this fragrance.

Medie from Trudon is very fresh and chic. It remembers me the first Eau Sauvage édition from Dior in the 60ties! But Medie gets a better longevity and in base note in addition of vétiver, the Frankincense is just incredible! It’s a fantastic scent for men but be careful, for sure, your women will steal it! :0) Head Notes Manderin, Grapefruit Heart Notes French Cypress, Sambac Jasmine Base Notes Frankincence, Vetiver 10/10

I love this, it's such a well-done grapefruit-dominant fragrance. It's simple, yet effective--a nice, slightly cologne-style grapefruit scent. This is along the lines of Nicolai Parfumeur L'eau Mixte and Terre de Hermes Eau Givree. As far as performance, I think it performs quite well for a freshy. I wish it projected off my skin more, but it lasts all day. Unisex, leaning slightly masculine to me. Perfect for Summer!

Positive - it's a blue fragrance minus the things that usually make me dislike blue fragrances. It's natural smelling, quality Negative - nothing interesting to be found. Grapefruit and not much else, or everything else is so subtle as to be moot. I'd love some more florals or something more woody underneath (absolutely no ambroxan though). Sandalwood maybe? Totally inoffensive but also totally unremarkable.

Minimalist bitter citrus with a bit of white floral. For me after a while this leaves me with a molecule that outlasts others, is similar to grapefruit but not exactly it, it reminds me of some sort of textile smell with a slight metallic facet.

Bright, sour lemon and lime opening turning to orange bigarade and grapefruit, zest, pulp and juice. There's something oxygenating this, I think Iso E Super in the lightweight base alongside the cypress and transparent vetiver. Médie is a simple, well-made woody citrus for the hottest days. A little sharp and a little bit sticky but a breath of fresh air too. Like the non-binary cousin of Terre d'Hermès who has come to visit for the summer. Apparently it's the most popular in the range in the Paris store.

Wonderful grapefruit supported by soft white florals. Almost a hint of vetiver coming through during the dry down. Very long lasting -- still quite noticeable on my wrist the morning after. Really lovely scent, perhaps better suited for warmer weather.

A fresh, light and citrus scent. Hints of floral notes peek through the especially dominant grapefruit with a touch of mandarin. It's very pleasant, effortlessly wearable in spring and summer, especially if you’re drawn to citrus-floral fragrances.

On my skin this is citrudy fresh and very pretty, the notes are just as promised...it's nothing too interesting for a brand that makes such stunning home fragrances though. I think the grapefruit note is boring to me.

Straightforward and just, but not minimalistic. Although citrus permeates all components of the fragrance, they don't smell the same during developing. Their freshness becomes more dry and grounded by jasmine. Cypress and vetiver introduce them to confident masculinity. Still mandarine&grape lasts. Convincing, nobly bitter. Nonetheless I miss a little aroma that would spice up the scent. The experience told me: the fragrance was more interesting after a bath with the smell of black currants. Not saying it's that but the perfume wasn't that flat... More suitable for men who will appreciate a scent which doesn't beat their own charisma. Sillage moderate, longevity almost 5 hrs.

Opens citrusy, then dries down quickly to a white floral scent, smells soapy, slightly old school à la AdP Colonia. Doesn't last or project much. This is my least favourite from the brand; not bad, but just v forgettable.

very subtle. warm grapefruit and citrus. then thicker white florals. i get some darker, smoky herbaceousness like licorice, but i realize that might be the frankincense and vetiver.

A very sunny and bright, yet sophisticated and fresh grapefruit-citrus. It’s mandatory that you really like grapefruit. Then it’s pure joy. As someone already, accurately mentioned, a tiny bit sweet by mandarin. A lovely combination. The cypress (as cypress always does) make it somewhat cold and distant, which is the only element I don’t really like, but despite this, I think the composition as a whole is masterful in its simplicity. It’s definitely not the ’run of the mill’ grapefruit-citrus many reviewers before have stated. It deserves way better review than that. But I still understand, this is not for everyone. The frankincense and the vetiver makes it come across as somewhat ’serious’. Sophisticated, rather than playful. Office-friendly and professional for sure. It’s also very sunny and uplifting. Materials are high quality. A very nice experience.

A light citrus scent of mandarin-sweetened grapefruit, later sweetening more with a soft white floral note. I do not consider this fragrance to overtly emphasize vetiiver, though it is down there at the base. Indeed, the deep drydown does deliver a sweetly damp take on the vetiver note, which I enjoyed. Yes, many, many citrus-centric colognes. What makes one choose a particular scent from so many? An odd mix of decision and happenstance. Presumably, some will choose this one...
