Glazed Donut

One of my all-time favorite perfumes, I just wish it was a little more concentrated. The actual scent is exactly what the name says, a glazed donut. It's sugary and sweet, without becoming nauseating. I think the white chocolate note comes through the strongest for me. If you like to smell like a photorealistic dessert, this is for you. The price point is reasonable for the amount you get. I tend to use 5-6 sprays on inital application, and then another 2-3 re-applying after a few hours of wear, so it really isn't very concentrated. The potency is more similar to a body mist than a true perfume.

Do you “like gourmand fragrances” or do you like GOURMAND fragrances? Is your idea of a gourmand “99% flowers, fruit, powder, wood, and then maybe 1 small vanilla pod added as an afterthought” or is it “I literally want to smell EXACTLY like a specific food, I literally want to smell like food”? I think that matters. If you know immediately you probably won’t like an allegedly gourmand fragrance because the reviews say it’s “an expensive vanilla”, you might like this. If you tend to like fragrances with reviews that say “wow this is the most AWFUL CHEAP MOST SICKENINGLY SWEET VANILLA BATH AND BODYWORKS TOILET SPRAY MIDDLE SCHOOL SYNTHETIC SUGAR” you might like this. That being said maybe the other reviewers had a bad bottle, as that does sometimes happen. But basically it smells like vanilla, buttercream, some kind of rummy syrup or fruity reduction, maybe like date syrup, and that’s about it. It does kinda smell like a glazed donut, but the buttercream stands out to me a bit more. It does not last very long at all, not to my preference, but it smells great while it lasts. It performs like a body mist. The alcohol content is prominent when you first spray. It is a true gourmand, because you can’t eat a dumb flower or wood or baby powder. For me, I think notes that don’t smell like dessert take away from what I personally want from a fragrance. If that’s what you want, smell it in person and see what you think. I don’t get any offensive smells from the bottle I have though.

Haha!!! These reviews below me...😂 COMPLETELY disagree. Well, sorta. This is junky, but it's GOOD junk. It's a cakey, sugary, slightly fruity, sticky, yummy hot mess. But you know, I'm kind of a mess too, and sometimes I love trashy gourmonds. The buttercream really comes through for me, but not all at once. You gotta let this dry down a bit, otherwise it is slightly "artifical sweetener". It isn't actually creamy immediately, the coconut (once again, Fragantica doesn't include the notes that are literally on the bottle) is more immediately apparent until 5 or 10 minutes pass. Thankfully I don't personally smell much grape, I tend to dislike grape. But there is a vague frutiness here in the opening that isn't merely coconut. It becomes softer, creamier, and more vanillic as it dries. The coconut is an echo, but not a main focal point. This isn't classy, and I don't give a rip. I think it's quite good. This brand makes trashy, but enjoyable stuff, and this is in keeping with the theme 🤭 🍩 Happy National Donut Day!!! 🍩

Smells like donuts. Weak longevity though. The best from this brand is still Unicorn Fruit. I bought that for several gourmand lovers iny life for Christmas this year. That one comes in a perfume form. Maybe this would perform better if it wasn't a body spray.

Smells like artificial jelly beans.. a bit juvenile, gave it to my daughter my 7yr old smells so good!

Glazed Donut by Truly might be a good option for a gourmand queen on a budget. It definitely smells like a donut, but sort of like if the bakery was in the distance and you got a waft of donuts while walking by it. It's more vanilla-forward if anything, but the buttercream is there somewhere in the distance. Because this is a perfume mist, the scent is quite light, which is actually kind of refreshing. It's nice to have a gourmand option that doesn't feel SO heavy. But, on the downside, because it's perfume mist, the alcohol in in the first few seconds of spraying is so overwhelming, it's hard to ignore. I find myself avoiding Glazed Donut because I don't want to deal with the alcohol. The longevity and silage are great considering it's a perfume mist, but outside of that context, just okay. Love the scent, hate the execution. Rating: 3.5/10

I don't know what this smells like but it's not vanilla, chocolate, buttercream , musk or sugar. It actually reminds me of a medicine that I can't quite place right now. Returning this for a refund cause $24 is too much for something that stinks.

Go ahead and spray this on your worst enemy. Spray this on a cockroach or a bed bug. Actually, don’t do that. Nobody or nothing at alllllll deserves to be sprayed with this putrid stink bomb. Luckily it only lasts 4 seconds before it fleets. Longest 4 seconds of your life. This perfume smells horrible. The public restroom air freshener smells like Dior compared to this. This body spray smells like a dirty McDonalds while they’re popping cookies in the microwave somewhere. I can’t even describe it. Well, I tried. Beware if you see this at Ulta, I don’t recommend. Sample at your own risk.

I don’t know what happened in the factory when making this scent, but what I do know is that this does not smell good. Very synthetic smelling, like a cheap gas station pastry that has been laying in the hot sun for hours and the plastic wrap around it has melted into the pastry. Thankfully this mist does not last longer than 15 minutes so I didn’t have to deal with this scent on me for very long. Only pro is the packaging, which is in a beautiful glass bottle. Verdict- don’t waste your money on it

I totally get people’s gripes with this scent but you know what? I also unashamedly love it. It smells like plastic babydoll heads and white cocoa frosted birthday cake. The initial spray has a sharp alcoholic smell that can be kind of hard to love but the dry-down is a creamy sugary musk. It smells like the too-sweet birthday cakes from McDonald’s with the blue border and giant frosting balloons. The hint of white chocolate adds a creaminess to it that I really enjoy. It is nostalgic for me

I work at ulta, and for some reason whenever I smell any of the gourmand truly scents they just don't smell like what the display shows the notes as. I always get pure fruity notes and some coconut. Not sure if it's the testers, but others are saying they also get those notes as well. There is a slight sweetness on the dry down, but overall I just don't know why it's called glazed donut when it doesn't smell like that in my opinion.

I usually love all the gourmands that are controversial so I was really disappointed when this didn't smell good to me, it honestly didn't smell like a single one of the notes except for musk during every single stage which is horrible!! Because I would have liked a sickeningly sweet cake that could kill a cockroach!

Honestly these reviews are so surprising to me... it smells SO yummy. So cakey and intense, def a scent to layer or spray on at night to smell like a warm treat. I love it. fun and nostalgic!

Smells like a slightly toasted coconut donut, sweet & gourmand yes but not overly sweet or gourmand though
