Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova

There are a lot of popular sweet perfumes these days, and though I wear and enjoy many of them sometimes I don't want to smell like everyone else. As a lover of iris and almond and sweet, powdery perfumes I find this to be really enjoyable. My first thoughts were: I am transported to Italy, and this is so Italian, and it smells like the most delicious of Italian almond deserts with a sweet, dense almond smell, or like putting your nose close to a glass of Amaretto and inhaling as you take a sip. This perfume is certainly more Amaretto than dry almond. It's not entirely gourmand, however, because the iris keeps it from being strictly gourmand. It has a beautiful Italian iris smell, too, almost in equal measure. This perfume is so much like Prada Infusions d'Amande, yet richer, slightly sweeter, more intense. I have both this and d'Amande, so I am able to compare them side by side, and they are really so much alike, with the d'Amande being a more delicate. The lasting power is better on this than Prada. Because of the richness and lasting power, if I were to choose one I would pick this over the Prada. This turns quite powdery in the drydown, so if you do not like powder you might not enjoy it, but if you do like powder you will love it. My S.O. was reminded of baby powder, but I do not get that impression. I find this sits close to the skin after an hour or so but does last longer than average, though it does not have a very powerful lasting. I think I will wear this in every season, but I don't think I would wear it on the hottest of summer days because I might get the impression that I was an elegant Italian lady who was somehow forced to work in a bakery for a day. Oh, and the bottle is spectacular. I really love the greyhound head that is the cap.

A delicious amaretto note that lingers for about 20 minutes and gradually softens into skin warmed powdery iris and heliotrope with a hint of creamy vanilla and a memory of the almond amaretto. (The bergamot/neroli is noticeable as a fresh sharpness accompanying the amaretto in the background and it quickly fades.) I love this fragrance. This fragrance is my jam: the almond, the heliotrope, the iris. Love. It's like Prada's Infusion d'Iris but without the screechy, cloying, sharp, and soap aspects that cause my nose to feel stuffy and gives me a headache. This takes all the things I like about the Prada - the refreshing citrus and cool powdery Iris - and pares away all the things that turned me off. Porta Nuova is soft, and I do wish it projected more, but I'll take lovely quality over synthetic beast mode every time. I wore this while biking on errands today in cool weather and the warmth of my skin combined with Porta Nuova was bliss. I kept getting wafts from my skin throughout the day. It lasted on my skin for a good 4-5 hours (on clothes for 12+ hours), but I did have to over spray. The fragrance is delightful, so I don't mind refreshing it. Edit: The more I wear it, the more I love it. I'm beginning to crave its creamy, powdery floral coolness to the exclusion of other favorites.

Incredible soft humid iris with a powdery almond accent . In short, for all fans and most importantly the ones who couldnt become friends of Prada Infusion d’Iris, Trussardi PN is a softer less screechy/ sharp creation. Incredibly addictive, elegant, light fragrance with silver iris and powdery almonds, well rounded and creamy. I had Prada IDI and IDA - both great but too dry and cold for me, almost synthetic, hence those bottles had to leave my collection. Trussardi is truly a stellar discovery of this year for me, and I will be getting a back up bottle - all I needed from iris and almonds to create, an elegant well rounded child. In fact - Prada infusion DI + Amande - Synthetics + soft creaminess and humidity. The staying power on the skin is very good about 4-5 hrs of “gentle fluidity“ innocent clean slightly sweetened by white musk reminder of its presence . Love love! The bottle Is monumental 😄 - great presentation , stands out from all I have seen lately, a welcome accessory for the boudoir or study desk👍

I just received my bottle of this fragrance today. I ordered a tester of it from fragrancebuy.ca for about $80 with cap and free shipping using code WETHRIFT. This was an amazing deal. I have already ordered a back up bottle. I see this fragrance becoming my signature scent. The fragrance gives me a feeling of comfort. Like being wrapped in a warm freshly washed blanket . The notes blend perfectly together. I notice the Heliotrope and Amaretto stand out the most on my skin. It's slightly powdery from the orris note. It reminds me of White Iris by La Perla and Heliotrope by Etro but less sweet. It does not protect strongly on me. I still enjoy it very much. It's a fragrance for me to smell. It's a skin scent to me and I don't mind it. I would not want to pay the retail price for this fragrance. I don't think it's worth it. If you can find it at a great deal like I did then go for it.

I bought this about 7 or 8 months ago, sprayed and got a nose full of citrus. Neroli, even in small amounts does this on me, add in bergamot and the naturally occurring citrus scent of the actual flower of iris ~ it overwhelmed my nose. I put it away, knowing the neroli would calm down and wow. This in beautiful, the almond and amaretto popped, the iris became more photorealistic instead of just the citrusy part and became powdery. Creamy later in the dry down, powdery through the beginning and mid. I think this may really be a stunner come spring, but I'm enjoying it now anyway. Trussardi is underestimated, IMO, and this line has been consistently good. This beats Prada's Amande or Iris, for me, a high bar to jump.

I blind bought this in hopes that it will resemble Inside, which Trussardi discontinued ages ago. I get a couple of whiffs in the opening that might have some distant resemblance to Inside's opening, but other than that, not at all similar. It is, however, very very similar to Trussardi My Name. To my nose, this is basically My Name with amaretto accord in the opening. After opening, smells almost exactly as if My Name was applied on skin previously moisturized with TBS Shea body butter. As My Name, this is a beautiful, lasting, powdery fragrance. Inoffensive and comforting - perfect for the office. But with them being so similar, I really can't justify having them both in my collection at the same time.

Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova is the perfect name for this elegant and airy fragrance, and I don't understand why more people don't talk about it. The opening is comparable to Prada Infusion d'Amande, but Prada is fizzer, becoming cleaner and more powdery, while Porta Nouva has a smoother opening that becomes fluffier and more iris forward. It would be redundant to have both, but I am keeping them. Porta Nouva is an inoffensive daytime, warm weather scent, and Infusion d'Amande is my after-shower bedtime fragrance. Porta Nuova is very long-lasting on clothes, but it sits closer to the skin. I adore everything about this scent, and it's my favorite of the Milan collection.

This was a love at first sniff. First from the house (though certainly not the last) and a blind buy at that. It's like a more wearable, softer lilac love from amouage. I knew from the amaretto, iris and bergamont it was likely going to be one that I enjoyed. It's not a juvenile scent, that's for sure, but the almond/amaretto give it a smoothness and interest for an otherwise straight forward iris scent that may or may not come out "grandma" to some. It's elegant and pretty affordable when it comes to niche fragrances. Pretty linear (not a bad thing) and lasts well (slightly above average i'd say). If you like lilac love i highly recommend.

This is one delicious almond scent, it has slight amaretto feel and quite limited powder, not too powdery and no overwhelming dusty iris to be seen. Truly elegant scent that is blended beautifully and is very smooth and silky. Its my 2nd fave from Trussardi's new line, and I'm really impressed - they've come out with decently priced and very beautifully composed line that suits its gorgeous presentation. This one leans more feminine than masculine. Tbh having sniffed a fair amount of almond scents, this may be the best for me so far. Very elegant.

Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova by Trussardi is my pick for the most underrated fragrance on the market. It’s an exceptional feminine leaning Amber Floral fragrance that has had very limited advertising or exposure through review. The opening is a sweet citrus delight and the transition through the floral notes is just beautiful. Ambers have a tendency to be more suited to cooler weather, Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova had the distinction of being completely versatile and suitable for use all year. Absolutely surprising how good this is. 10/10

A zing of citrus at the top makes the opening pleasantly refreshing. Then Aperitivo softly transitions into powdered almond notes. The use of amaretto allows a slightly boozy-sweet almond note to linger all the way down into the base, keeping the scent lively yet soft with a touch of sweetness. The combination is unexpectedly charming - an easy to wear perfume (with a complicated name ;). For those who enjoy citrus, vanilla, powder and almond notes, you'll find no complaints with Trussardi's expert handling here.

This is a lovely elegant scent. A blind buy because this scent profile is my favorite + almonds rarely disappoint + of the beautiful bottle. It opens a tad sharp and slightly citrusy with the powderness in the background. The more it develops the less sharp and more cozy it gets. The is a little bit of bitterness and also sweetness from the mid on. Both don’t get too much though. Longevity is nice projection is average or less. I’m happy with this and imagine having it on very often.

Absolute love from the first moment. And when I tested it, I could not even imagine how beautifully it will develop. And the dry down is just fantastic, tender and warm. I will not try to describe the perfume, its performance or else, it is already done in the comments below. I wish to say, it is so well done, without any funky or synthetic notes in any of its phases of the development on the skin. Happy to find such a beauty! Thank you Trussardi for this great offering.

Aperitivo is both classy and approachable, striking a nice balance. It's creamy with just the right hint of floral notes—nothing too overpowering, just perfectly subtle. The iris gives it a bit of powdery elegance without feeling old-fashioned. Perfect for everyday wear, whether you're wandering the city streets or headed to the office. Super versatile in my opinion.

Tried the collection in a Sephora shop, on paper. I find the entire collection to be effortlessly interesting (unlike many other niche perfumes that try so hard to impress). But out of the entire collection, I liked this best. It smells like nothing I ever tried. Perhaps the opening is a little bit sharply amaretto, but it dries down to a creamy amaretto.

Gorgeous, comforting almond cloud with an iris base. If you loved L'Artisan's sadly discontinued Jour de Fete, this is reminiscent of that beautiful almond scent. It's not sickly sweet and has surprisingly great lasting power. I'd recommend it to almond lovers who don't want a gourmand/bakery scent.

Powdery, almond, vanilla, and the bergamot peeks through. Similar to Rance Avant le Jour - they both smell wonderful! The bottle is sleek, classy - love the color system for the entire line; this can be used as a weapon, very heavy. Safe blind buy (u may not love but u I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE!

A charming fragrance that lifts the mood and brings comfort. An enveloping composition of powdery almonds with a subtle, perfectly balanced hint of citrus to add lightness and allure. It lasts all day on fabric. Something beautiful!

I went through the entire collection in the airport, n couldn't choose just one so I decided none.. This is becoming the one I most regret leaving behind I think.. love the Amaretto note.

Beautiful Almond, powdery scent..sits very close to the skin. I had to spray like 4 times to get a whiff. This is not a powerhouse, so not sure if I would repurchase.

It turned out to be a soft, airy, and powdery sweet fragrance that feels effortlessly elegant. Despite its lightness, the longevity is surprisingly impressive.

Just to add That best description would be if you apply Prada Infusion di Iris /Infusion d’Amandes in Nivea moisturised skin.

My favorite fragrance. Delightful.

I bought this because I'm a fan of Prada's Amande and wanted to see how similar it is since it's almost half the price. Well, it is very similar but not a dupe. My nose detects the following differences when compared to Prada: 1. Something citrus-y in the opening. 2. Sharper, less sweet (almost bitter) and more chemical-y almond, more like amaretto scent in the middle, still very pleasant. 3. Close to zero sillage, after about 15 minutes it's a skin scent. 4. Very very quickly reaches the base notes and then I can only detect somewhat sweet nondescript vanilla. 5. Disappears form clothes equally fast - this difference to Prada really surprised me because Prada's Amande sticks to clothes for days. I still recommend Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova if you like Prada's almond but I definitely prefer Prada's. PS. I also bought the "enhancer" from the same line (Musc Noir perfume enhancer) and I did not notice much "enhancement"/improvement when it comes to performance. Still no sillage and disappears rather quickly.

Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova (not the catchiest of names, but I digress) is an almond-iris scent that takes its inspiration from amaretto liqueur. As iris and almond are two of my favourite notes, I was intrigued by this, a scent focused on both. However, it is mainly just a powdery almond scent, pleasant but nothing special. AMPN is almond-forward from initial spray, but I get some citric freshness up top. It becomes powdery as it develops, the iris note adding texture. Dry vanilla adds soft sweetness to the base, complementing the almond to perfection. It becomes softly musky as it dries down, sweet and powdery until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is feminine-leaning in my opinion, and is a transeasonal scent. A lovely, well-balanced almond scent, AMPN is nothing groundbreaking or particularly exciting, but it is a cosy, enveloping take on almond that avoids common pitfalls like marzipan or syrupy vanilla in the base. Soft, powdery goodness, but not enough iris for my liking. 3.5/5.

Solid like! I strongly prefer Aperitivo to Passeggiata (the orange coffee-hazelnut-chocolate one) despite expecting to love the latter. Passeggiata was too strong and warm for me if that makes sense. Aperitivo, on the other hand is a predominantly vanilla-almond concoction with some subyle powdery notes. With two sprays on my arm today, it smells well-blended. No bitter bitey notes, not cloying, not too cosmetic-y or annoyingly powdery (sorry Shunkoin and Narciso Rouge). Aperitivo smells elegant, simple, and feminine without smelling dated. Not surpringly, Aperitivo smells very similar to Mandorlo di Sicilia from Acqua di Parma. I think I do prefer Mandorlo for the sparkling elements sans sharpness. Try Aperitivo if you like almonds and vanilla! Be warned the citrus doesn't Sparkle or zing here; it is nearly nonexistent. But the entire composition is quite light and smooth.

I was able to try it and I can say it has a realy good lasting power! Althought after the first 3 hour it's stays as a skin scent, but still strong! The scent itself is a beautiful powdery almond scent! At the begining it's almost a sweet almond, I realy liked it! But after 1 hour the iris start to appear and it has a little "bitter" or "spicey" side note and that little sweetness dissapears (on me). After a few hour this "bitter/spicey" side note fades and a gentle powdery almond remains. I still don't know how to feel about it, if it would be a little bit sweeter, and there was no iris side note than I would bought it immediately, but I don't think I would wear it this way so often that it would worth a full bottle. But definately a good scent, I recomend it and worth to try it!!!

Iris-y, sweet and slightly nutty powder scent. Very simple, airy, likeable and elegant. It does smell a bit like compact powder, which may evoke associations with fragrances on the more mature, vintage side - however it diffuses pretty well, just lightly wrapping you in the scent cloud instead of being heavy and intrusive. A fitting fragrance for blending into big city landscapes, small yet special occassions, and dry winter. The only complaint I have about it is that the longevity is definitely not on the lasting side, at least for me - seems to last only about 2 hours.

2 me, this is a less edgy, more meek PdM's Athalia with some soft Hypnotic Poison nuances... since I adore both respective perfumes, I'm bound to cherish the beauty inside this as well. what can I say? it's Iris after all; the most poised & equanimous flower it is out there.. 🌙 sophisticated, posh & oddly office appropriate (especially one located in a highly affluent neighborhood)

Zesty opening with nice citruses (I mostly feel bergamot and some neroli) and lovely bitter almonds. It’s not too sweet, but it definitely has a touch of boozy sweetness in the base. Plus, it’s also quite powdery. Super radiant and veeeeeeery long lasting for such a fresh scent. I would love this fragrance, but neroli note is slightly disturbing for me. This is so nice! I mostly get almond, vanilla, heliotrope, and powdery, creamy iris. As others have mentioned, it does remind me of Guerlain L'Instant Magic, but I get more almond in this. If you like L'Instant Magic, Carner Barcelona Tardes, or Sylvaine Delcourte Florentina, then this would be one to try as they are all in the same vein.

This perfume is absolutely delicious! It's sweet and powdery with a hint of almond that reminds me of amaretto cookies. I love that it's not overly floral - the iris and heliotrope add a sophisticated touch without being overpowering. It lasts all day and gets compliments wherever I go.

Like others have said - this is pleasant. A powdery nod to Hypnotic Poison at the start which fades out to a fresher iris finish like Infusion d’Iris which is lovely. A tale of two halves. Having both of these it’s a bit redundant for me but classic, elegant and well executed.

Beautiful but unremarkable. Maybe if you’re a powdery almond fragrance lover. Definitely not overly sweet, which I much appreciated. It’s elegant. Suitable for the office, perfect alongside a white shirt. Sweeter than Prada Iris.

This imidiately reminds me of Guerlain L’instant magic. Then it moves to Prada Iris and Vetiver.. I love this scent but if you own any of the above, you dont need this

A lovely powdery fragrance, but too weak for me and it doesn ́t last long.

I agree with the reviewer below. This really does have weak performance that I feel like it wasn't worth the price. However, it does really smell unique. It kind of reminds me of an almond and orange cake batter. That still doesn't mean that it's a gourmand scent at all, and I don't detect that much sweetness to it. Also this is very unisex, but leans more towards feminine. I think it's because of the opening - at the beginning, it is very sharp, like sharp bitter almond essence. However, it becomes nice and smooth as it dries down a bit. I also noticed that it smells nicer in the air than directly on my skin. I don't notice the baby wipes/powder scent that many other reviewers are detecting. I could compare this a bit to the dior poison girl edt, but the poison girl is much sweeter. Overall, I kind of regret buying this, as I won't be using much. I prefer the Passeggiata over this one for sure, as that other one smells like a yummy nutella dessert.

I'm a little perplexed as to how to review this one. It's unlike anything else in my collection. On first sniff and opening, I get hit by a blast of amaretto. Then, fairly quickly, the greener realistic almond notes come out, and I get a more flowery less powdery iris note. Although I don't get the notes head on, I think this fragrance would suffer without the vanilla and heliotrope. That said, I find this to be a less gourmand option for almond lovers out there. It is a refreshing almond, nothing like holiday body sprays or dessert-centric scents. I'll reserve my full option and come edit later after a more realistic wear test. I think Aperitivo would shine more in a less humid climate, but I think it could still be worn year round in the right environment. If you're into things that are different but wearable, try this on discount. The bottle is also gorgeous. I would try another from this line.

This perfume would have been perfect without the amaretto. It is so soft and powdery with the iris and heliotrope which I love but I can't stand it whenever I get a whiff of amaretto.

Confused and disappointed. This perfume is interesting in a sense that I expected something sweet and heavy for the evening. It is not, don’t let amaretto confuse you. The perfume is indeed very subtle and quiet but it definitely gives a powdery vibe towards baby wipes/baby powder. Though it is not it’s biggest flaw. It is barely recognizable on the skin (let alone on a piece of paper - don’t even try, it doesn’t smell at all). After initial spray and 5min max i don’t smell anything. Nothing. For almost 200 euro this is a major flop. Out of all Milano line i was really into Musk Noir. It is wonderful. Though my purchased bottle didn’t smell like shop tester and was returned. I don’t know what to think about the new Trussardi line

At first spritz this smells exactly like marzipan with some white chocolate. I thought I ́d like it which is why I got a 10ml decant, but I ́m glad I didn ́t jump in for a full bottle. After wearing this for about 30 mins, the scent makes me feel a bit queasy... I guess similar to how eating too much of anything with marzipan makes me feel. This one will be sold on which I'm sad about because I was happy to finally try something from Trussardi.

The same perfumer is the nose for few perfumes that I like and find the following two to have an element of Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova Trussardi: VC&A Bois d’Iris - milky musky iris and PR Pure XS - a nutty suede. And from all perfumes in the “reminds me of” section only Instant Magic offers the dense ice cream base that you notice here. Another perfume has the musky side of Trussardi’s drydown - it’s Miss Kay Soft Cuddle. Xerjoff’s Italica has few notes in common, but it’s too complex, too intense, too gourmand, too busy to compare. Midnight in Paris Van Cleef & Arpels is a little more powdery and woodsy, but you get the idea how the almond works here. Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova opens with the most incredible amaretto note that I have smelt before and don’t recall to have encountered in another fragrance in this same version of it. It’s more like Baileys with sweet almonds. Creamy and minimalistic. I wonder how this one will smell on a man. Unfortunately this amaretto accord is a top note and it’s quite short-lived. Nevertheless it transitions well into a very comfortable polite but sensual creamy heliotrope - a nutty mousse, amaretto gelato, rather than your usual powdery or stuffy makeup scent. Also, you can appreciate how the sweetness doesn’t come from vanilla, or it would have gone into a French macaron territory. Instead, texture-wise, it feels somewhat natural, like body butter, a bit like Shea from The Body Shop. Although it doesn’t project at all, it holds up pretty well. No stinky chemical aftersmell (if that’s even a word!). I can still smell it in the ends of my hair for a second day now. I think Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova is my favorite from the line for everyday use, although I left the store with the coral bottle, which I find very intoxicating and with a great projection (this one hazelnut based - a very intense Nutella Tuberose scent - something like a cross between Narciso Ambree and Angel Muse, but better). I’m not regretting my purchase, but I’m definitely adding Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova to my “procurement” list :)

Vanilla bean in compote. I love this fragrance, although it's taken me a while to enjoy it fully. The contrast between the raspy, bright citrus and the sweet vanillic base is excellent. Close in intention to Infusion d'Amande bit not in execution, this fragrance de-centers almond and is much fuller in its effect. I get a nuanced, deep vanilla pod with its fermented, leathery, and sweet facets. The almond-amaretto vibe adds texture but is never at the forefront. I've been getting pangs of deja vue while wearing this, and I've finally realized where they're from. Aperitivo Milanese is a very foody fragrance. It reminds me of my partner's fruit compote, which always gets a hefty dose of grated citrus rind and natural vanilla sugar (with blended bits of the pods). When the fragrant sugar and bitter peel hit the bubbling fruits, I get the same sensation as when I wear this fragrance—a burst of bright sharpness and intense sweetness. There's nothing wrong with that!

I bought this in the hopes that it would be a longer-lasting version of my beloved Infusions d’Amande by Prada...and it’s not. It’s missing some of the elegance and softness of the Prada fragrance, the amaretto is definitely present. In general Trussardi’s version of this DNA is more heavy-handed. It’s also pretty short-lived. I’ll stick to Infusions d’Amande, which is simply angelic.

I was so looking forward to this fragrance, and sadly, was very disappointed. The opening is a lovely amaretto and bergamot mix, which quickly become the scent of baby wipes. I said it. Straight up baby wipes. That scent stays for the remainder of the time on me. I even washed it off, and could still smell it. Please get a sample, and do not blind buy!

Wow this stuff smells amazing.. it’s a warm iris scent. It’s creamy and long lasting. Don’t let the almond scare you.. it’s not a sweet sickly cherry/amaretto scent. It’s sexy, creamy iris. I only have a sample, but I am really tempted to buy a full bottle except that it costs a fortune :-( I think I’m going to try La Perla’s White Iris first..

This smells so much like a Prada Infusion that I'm totally insensitive to the subtle differences. A slightly spicy angle maybe, a bit more cream and less soap. I don't mind the déjà vu: I like Prada, so I like this, too. Besides, aperitivo is literally an infusion of plants, and Prada is a Milanese brand, so, Aperitivo Milanese it is.

This is going to be strange, but... on my skin his smells like Chanel No. 5 Body Cream,. No. 5 body cream is a different story than edp and edt. It's warm, musky, powdery, simply most luxurious and perfectly balanced formula from the line. And Trussardi smell this same luxurious, intoxicating with quite aldehydes. Fantastic!
