Essenza del Tempo

I bought this some five years ago when it was affordable (not $120+ for the 2.5oz) and have only worn it once! I bought it mainly for the coffee bean note and a little because of the carrot seed and the odd note of balsamic vinegar - doesn't sound very appealing but it is a quite gentle and pleasing scent! The first time I wore it was on a much colder day and I was doing some forestry work - I noticed a lot more carrot seed and cedar that time around. Wearing it now, I get far more of a musky powder with a slightly astringent note - it is pretty fantastic in Spring weather. There is also a vague floral accord in here - maybe some powder is from the iris, but my brain is telling me there is a touch of dewy rose in here. Overall, it smells like a rooty floral musk on my skin - not something Ive come across a lot in designer fumes....a shame it was discontinued! Definitely unisex and quite long-lasting and could be for any occasion if you could rock it right! I hope you are all staying cool and rocking your fumes like a boss! Finally I purchased a bottle and oh boy! I am glad I did it. The bottle is really nice. It really stands out and well-made. So now that I have a chance to really wear it. I do think that it's soft masculine and it's perfect for me. The beginning is mild and sweet citrusy with a smooth and bitter coffee accord that doesn't really smell like you just walked into Starbucks. The floral notes are only thing that really stay truly unisex, is it neroli?! Anyway, the scent becomes slightly powdery and a little dirty. Finally I do smell cedar in the mix, but it's not very strong and aggressive like, for example, Terre d'Hermes. Now it's been 6 hours and I reapplied once. The scent still stay smooth, sweet, and powdery with citrus and wood. It's a versatile fragrance that everyone would admire. So far This is my favorite from Trussardi, and I can't tell you how much I adore the bottle. I definitely will be wearing this more often now til the weather gets really cold.

Sadly, I was informed today that the scent is discontinued and long times ago. Yet again I am late! I remember having this when I was a teen, 14?, 15 years old? and wearing it when Moschino Cheap and Chic would become overwhelming. Smelled fresh to me, and salty I must admit. That's why I liked it so much! Poor sillage? Everybody would ask me back then what I was wearing. It could be my skin amplifying the salty notes maybe,because that basically would be the drydown on my skin.

First notes are fresh bergamot and a hint of coffee later come notes of ambretta and Balsamico di Modena. It's fresh, natural and woody at the same time. It is definitely more masculine than feminine scent, I wear very often male's scents. Its a unique smell, but for me its definitely not an everyday routine perfume, it gives a great feeling of comfort and serenity, taste of sunny days in Italy and desire to see the sea.

Smells like Bvlgari the vert, just a bit more citrus yet very subtle and delicate. It became pleasant after an hour or two. Though it doesn't last forever, that's ok, I could always use more.

This fragrance is a very fine citrus-mix with aromatic accords, i dont get any coffee notes. But i have to agree with Vader its simple, ordinary and you cant lose the impression that you have smelled this before. Just a fresh-citric scent but nothing new. The longevity for a fragrance of this price range is extremely to short, just under an hour. 04 out of 10 points

On my skin Essenza del Tempo Trussardi starts fresh and clean, but at the same time-very flowery. Very soon the coffee notes are getting stronger and stronger...The fresh, clean, woody and floral notes can make you feel very comfortable and easy to wear. If there is only one word that I have to use to describe Essenza del Tempo Trussardi – that is Elegance. That is very stylish, very well balanced scent. I think it is a men scent, not too suitable for women. It is not overwhelming or cloying and the same time it gives you very interesting aroma of something natural...may be due to carrots notes? Or may be the secret is in the magic mix of coffee-cedar-amber- ginger? I can’t be sure, but I can tell you Essenza del Tempo Trussardi is a definitely very smart fresh-woody scent. Longevity – it stays on me for about 6 hours. Silage – good. Not a monster, but you can be sure it is not a subtitle scent – women around you will notice your Essenza del Tempo. Projection – good – starts fresh, after that you can get some spicy notes and after that – coffee and amber can give you a nice, complex dry down. All in all – very elegant, fresh, clean and woody man scent, that is suitable for casual events. Age – good for 20+ I can recommend Essenza del Tempo Trussardi to all people who like easy going scents.

Trussardi ESSENZA DEL TEMPO is a rare case of a unisex fragrance that actually smells too masculine for me to wear comfortably. Although the notes sound provocative, I honestly do not smell any of these: carrot, coffee, iris, balsamic vinegar. This smells to me just like a generic quasi-aquatic/vetiver men's cologne--one among dozens--and while it might work during summertime, I probably would not choose to wear it given the many more appealing light citrus fragrances available. That said, I would definitely recommend ESSENZA DEL TEMPO to guys looking for a cologne along the lines of the Creed water offerings, especially since this undoubtedly costs quite a bit less yet smells very similar.

This is the first unisex scent which I would be keen to wear. Just tried it today and after a couple of hours on my skin I have a lovely, subtle, subdued residue. It is very soft powdery, with a tiny hint of greenness or rather woodiness. Musky also, and warm, although in an very delicate way. I cannot see how one may not like this perfume, as it is very innocent. Perhaps a little masculine - true; but still charming, and certainly elegant.

At first spray, this is decidedly disappointing. A very retro 90s citrus aromatic, like some say similar to cK One or Eau The Vert. It smacks of zingy lime and bergamot. I'm letting it settle and I think there is something more refined trying to emerge..... It didn't quite get there but it is a decent citrus like D&G Masculine or Monsieur Balmain.

I got an incredible deal on this from Craigslist. The bottle is fabulous it smells okay. It starts off smelling like CK One to me, reminds me of my ex-husband in the 90's. After about 15 minutes, I get a slight whiff of balsamic vinegar, not in a bad way. This perfume is not as interesting and original as I hoped but for $20 its was worth it.

It is almost exact copy of good old (but not old-fashioned) perfume "Eau Jean" - french-soviet made ("ОЖЁН") by "Novaya Zaria". Citric-orange. This scent was very popular in USSR in 1980-xx. It was a hit. And it was marketed "for him and probably for you" that time - too. And it is still good. Where did they get it?

Nice notes but too subtle and too masculine for me. Turned a little dull after a while, Initially it reminded me of my beloved Velvet forest wood, but without its crispy , zesty and sweet notes, so yes this is nice butit wont be bought by me...Thanks Cassiopeija for the sample !

It's really strong perfume, very citrousy in the beginning, but woody (and quite masculine) in the base. It improves the mood in the sunny spring days, but the best would be in summer - sea, jeans shorts, white blouse, lounge music)))))

I swap my LIDGE with this one 2 weeks a go. Didn't regret it. it's good for daytime in hot weather. Like others reviews said that it makes you feel fresh Too bad it doesn't last long. Had to respray after 3-4 hours

Smells like a coy man eating a salad vinaigrette, in secret. At the start there is a burst of ambery ginger but after a few minutes it settles as a light cologne with some intervals of vinegary smell.

Although it smells pretty good it is quite ordinary and longevity is poor. I was waiting much more from this fragrance...

Afriend of mine has it. The fragrence smells very good on her... some kind of flowers and sweetness in it. Very Nice!

Good fragrance, want more, longer!! And why did Trussardi stop selling "Action Sport"? That was a really good one!

It's something I defiitely smelled before, rather masculine, fo everyday wear, but not too special.

Truly refreshing, kind of lying on the beach scent. Little bit on the masculine side.
