Sea Daffodil Edizione Millesimata

Sea Daffodil is a white floral, summery, woody, aromatic, nutty, light and moderately sweet scent with a very natural smell. Not that it smells the same, or it’s a dupe of, but it’s in the same vein with Guerlain’s Allegoria’s Vanilla Bosca. The immortelle, vanilla and bergamot combo from both perfumes gives them a similar vibe. Since I already own Vanilla Bosca, I don’t think it’s necessary to add Sea Daffodil. But it does smell nice, can’t fault it. Performance wise is quite long lasting but doesn’t project much after the first hour. Also, Sea Daffodil is nearly double the price of a 125 ml of Vanilla Bosca. So again, Guerlain feels better value.

I am absolutely in love with this one. It smells like the end of a full day on a wild beach: the sun slipping toward the horizon, your last swim behind you. You’re lying on your belly, face buried in your forearm, waiting to dry off completely. What lingers is the scent of dry, salty, slightly sunburnt skin, a faint trace of sunscreen, the warmth of the sea, pale dune grass, and the cooling sand and rocks around you. Great performance both in terms of projection and longevity and a very unique smell.

It's a creamy coconutty nutfest. Smells very natural at first and gets a tiny bit synthetic in the middle when the florals come out. When the florals calm down, I'm left with smooth buttery nuts. It's airy and suitable for summer, although it's a warm scent. I sampled it and went to the grocery store. Two guys behind me in fishermen gear were starting to pay, but then one of them said they "should get some nuts too, do you smell that?". Off they went.

Dry coconut pulp, sea salt mineral note, very dry warmed cedar wood, a small tiny touch of realistic vanilla. Starts more unisex, as it develops is leans into a more masculine territory because the fresh wood shavings cedar becomes very pronounced. As a female I loved the airy opening stage. Dry down is not for me, but recommend as a “masculine” coconut for those who dislike the tropical or overly creamy-sweet coconut.

The opening starts very airy and mineral at the same time, like water evaporating off a stone warmed in the sun. There's a faint smell of 1980's Dior's Poison in the background. Then the coconut comes in, it's not the suntan kind but the smell of a well ripened fresh coconut. There's a bit of cedar and something else, a slight bitter and dry note, the hazelnut I suspect. There's a whisper of bergamot somewhere. The dry down is powdery and soft. It's an interesting and well blended perfume. It would be perfect on a windy sunny day strolling along the boulevard near the beach.

Slightly salty and very airy coconut, but the "sea" is not Marine, the smell of this water is more lake or river like.

A better and longer lasting version of Aegean Bronze by Korres. I like it, but already have Aegean Bronze.

This so similar to Womanity. I dont really smell the coconut, but its smells very nice and bright.
