The Street Artists of Isola

I just love this. A very unusual licorice/fennel-forward freshie. Not much lasting power or sillage, but that's fine: I don't need fragrance to have a blast radius (still trying to recover from Poison in the 80s) and it does last a little longer on fabric.

A fennel-iah watercolor fragrance, just like the bottle. As if they drew a vegetable garden with watercolors. The paleness of humble flowerbeds, an orris lining, the spiciness of cyclamen. I recognize the latter quite well because I often use cyclamen-based spray to drain my sinuses and it's so strong, it's basically a pepper spray. And so cyclamen gives this unusual floral-spicy ambiguity to a fragrance both delicate and nose-tingling, In the end of its cycle. Street Artists of Isola becomes more grounded, rounder, woody and earthy, almost nothing to do with the start. Most scents from this collection do this: they change several different faces with almost no overlap.
