Trussardi Amber Oud

The review below me is very accurate and describes this gorgeous oud scent. I really like this perfume, i tested it on my hand while testing Gucci intense oud on the other, they are not similar in any way except they both contain oud, Trussardi is stronger than Gucci, but gucci is longer lasting they are both very nice scents that every oud lover should try.

If people just only knew how cheap it really is to produce a fragrance they wouldnt believe it. The other thing is that usually the price reflects the quality in pretty much everything except for fragrances and Trussardi Amber Oud is a great example of that. I give this fragrance a 9/10.

I think this fragrance deserves more. A great juice for the price you pay. It is oud and leather plus a sweet twist which makes it really pleasant. In my opinion it is the best cheap oud frag on the market.

Yes, it smells synthetic but it definitely smells like oud. It reminds me a little of the sower fuzzy oud in byredo accord oud but this one is a little toned down and it has some other notes playing around. The amber is indeed quite faint and unexistent but it has a little bit of dormant sweetness and some commonly found woodiness. I would wear this a little dressed up and I see it a little more masculine. In Europe you can find this for around 50 EUR so for the price is definitely worth it. Only the bottle itself feels and looks plenty expensive.

Nothing special. Personally I wear it to work, I feel like it’s a good fragrance for that. It’s very subtle and doesn’t last all day so if you’re trying to make an impression whether on yourself or others I’d choose something else. But if you can get one for a good price it’s a good light fragrance for the workplace

I believe this can be somehow harsh for some people, unless you have tried all kind of oud fragrance to understand this category. It is dirty animalic oud. Anyway performance and projection of this fragrance is massive.

Although it's not listed, I do get a nice, warm & sweet amber. Maybe the oud/incense/leather accord translates into amber here. Fortunate for me, the barely present but noticeable geranium fades after 30min or so.

Several years ago (2018) I purchased this fragrance as part of a much larger order from a popular online fragrance store. On paper, there is no reason why I wouldn’t like this fragrance, as an Oriental Incense/Oud...it has many notes and accords I typically find very pleasing in overall scent profiles. The bottle is handsome and the atomizer works properly, and this is where the positive portion of my review ends. Yes, we all know fragrances are highly subjective so my review is solely my own opinion. So, on to the fragrance then... Upon initial application, I was immediately quite turned off by what I perceived to be a ‘yeasty’ fermentation smell. Not the lovely fermented fruit accord that some Oud fragrances can project. This was not a pleasant aroma. It was sharp and smelled like what I can only describe as overtly yeasty. Quite unpleasant. Luckily, the top notes are supposed to be the first to evaporate during the drying-down stage, so I remained hopeful that it was just an unpleasant opening. Not the case, it did persist tenaciously (more on that later). Next, I did also pick up synthetic rose which I do not like, either. It is not listed as a note..but yet there it was, all up in my nose like an uninvited party guest that shows up on your front door when you distinctly remember NOT sending them an invitation...Rose. The Uninvited Guest. If it was listed as a note I would have spent elsewhere. Moreover, as an ‘Amber’ fragrance....the only note I did not perceive in this all-but-the-kichen-sink concoction was amber. Quite a disappointment. Also, not in attendance was incense, lemon, patchouli and oud. Significantly, and irredeemably disappointing. So, In summary, all I was left with was a screechy, yeasty, rose with a chalky,dry accord that came across as synthetic cacao, which was equally as unpalatable. Was that supposed to be the leather? I blind-buy fragrances as part of the thrill of the discovery & know the risks & accept them. I can say with confidence this is probably my least-liked fragrance in my collection of about 100 items (full bottles not including small samples). A fragrance must really displease me in order to reach an ‘unwearable’ status. I am a collector of some of the most potent, skanky, challenging Middle-Eastern made, Authentic Oud fragrances ever made and love them and appreciate their subtle nuances when I wear them.. But... Trussardi ‘Amber Oud’ is unwearable to me. Like with all fragrances,it is subjective & body chemistry may play a role. THE VERDICT: TOTAL FLOP

an Absolute joke of a scent, it doesn't have neither Amber nor Oud (still smelling this right now on a testpaper and still not recognizing either notes), the only notes i was able to identify is a mess of geranium with earthy patchouli and cheap incense

The amber blast only lasted like a minute, the drydown is all oud, a little incense, and a hint of leather. I liked the opening better. It's a no for me Edit: The leather is quite strong, but still, can't smell the benzoin on the drydown.

This was given as a gift to my husband. We've never smelled anything like this in our entire life, literally. In a bad way. This is like an explosion of amber and oud at the same time. It's amber and oud on top, mid and base notes. To us it's quite unwearable. I've had other Trussardi perfume (the old Trussardi Action) and it was so good, which leave me in disbelieve that Trussardi can produce something as bad as this one.

Trussardi Amber Oud is a warm and dark oud + rose (Geraniol) fragrance that sits close to the wearer. Everything is integrated such that it took me a few wears before I could discern the individual notes, but they are there. The first wear was unpromising and came off to my nose as a poorly performing mashup of dry wood, faint incense, and dusty patchouli. An old and long-unused library of decaying books and furniture is what came to mind. Something in it made me think of tahini. A few wears later I could better detect the geranium, pepper, and leather. The oud is synthetic but for me it's a decently rendered synthetic. The amber is less a scent than an impression of creaminess. The patchouli and vetiver (and elemi) go in a dirty and earthy direction while the benzoin brings a touch of sweetness. So maybe it makes sense I would think tahini, which is slightly bitter but also rich and creamy. If you enjoy the vetivers of Encre Noir A L'Extreme and the designer oud of a Ferrari, and you think it would be interesting to add rose oil to these, then this is a fragrance you should try.

Its a very pleasant scent not my favorite one out of my collection but people tend to like it especially in the dry down the longevity and the projection is out standing and i mean really out standing on me it lasts around 7-8 hours and on the clothes it pretty much remains till you wash it out. I tried to spray it in the air as well and it filled up my room with 2 sprays and the scent was lingering in the room for more then 4 hours and mind you this was just spraying it into the air. Over all for the price its a very strong contender. The scent is definitely not for everyone and not a mass pleaser, but I would still encourage everyone to at least test it because if you do end up liking it its one hell of a scent.

It seems to be drawing a fairbit of hostile fire, this one ... but I rather like it, actually, having recently given it a thorough run-out. One little detail I'd like to draw attention to is that there's a hint, with it, of that 'party-balloon rubber' note. (Obviously I don't mean totally literally like party-balloon rubber: it just kind of ... evokes the impression as of it ... but I don't really need frankly to spell-out that kind of thing to perfume-heads!) But the fragrance par-excellence, ImO, that showcases that note is Tiziana Terenzi — Eclix ... but that's got no oud in it, @least according to its page @ this forumn it hasn't.

This is actually a likeable juice - just don’t expect any real oud or amber here! It is very obviously synthetic to the bone, whilst trying to imitate niche fragrances such as Byredo Accord Oud and the likes. Actually, the main problem with Trussardi Amber Oud is that it is late to the party, as the market is already flooded with so many oud/amber fragrances in all price categories, and this one doesn’t really have anything to make it stand out in the crowd.

Received this one today. A mainstream amber/oud/touch of leather type scent. BUT....... The quality is there...good blend...decent performance. I am enjoying this one very much. Can be had at a low price in comparison to similar scents. This one is smooth...no harshness....a "friendly" Oud note...(the drydown is when the "oud-y" note is more persistant). Good stuff !!! Moderate sillage and projection.

Armani ́s Royal Oud mixed with Myrrhe Imperiale. To me, it ́s oud with slightly burnt caramel. Leather is in there as well. Very unisex, great for guys, beautiful on ladies. Hard to believe that this scent is practically unknown of, could not find many reviews and no yt videos......this is a really good alternative to the Armani Privé line for a reasonable price (at least here in Europe).

Tried this at local retailer, I thought the opening was great and very masculine. I sprayed on arm and walked around shopping center for a couple of hours. The Drydown I got was a bit feminine. I would consider buying and using in winter for a work scent. But I'll go back and give another try. Love the bottle.
