Uomo Trussardi 2011

A nice clean masculine scent that opens with a nice bergamont, fern, coriander & nutmeg accented by neroli, some orange blossom and subtle floral & green notes. It has an a little bit of that 80's fougere backbone. There is a fresh long lasting floral quality that comes from some clary sage, lavender and a bit of basil & rose to compliment the nice leather note. It's spice, smooth leather and citrus notes make it feel very clean. If you really like elegant Italian styled fougeres - clean citrus, lightly spicey/peppery, floral and leathery style scents - then this one is worth trying. This is currently my go to cool weather work fragrance although I enjoy wearing for a night out on the town as well - a classy fragrance for Spring and Fall. Sillage on me is a foot or two for a few hours then it softens and stays close for a few hours more. As a skin scent - very good longevity - I still smell the soft leather/aqua and sage dry-down when I come home from work. Wonderful fragrance that is very contemporary but adds a respectful very soft leathery nod to traditionally fresh green fougeres. The notes blend so nicely. It is very noticeable yet incredibly subtle at the same time. A truly enjoyable long lasting fragrance. EDIT : 12-03-2017 : This fragrance has become my go-to work scent. It is incredible comfortable in cool weather months. Very natural and non-cloying. I am picking up on a very clean and soft aqua note in the drydown that really freshens the fragrance. It is the same very clean, natural aqua note fro Molinard Homme III. Very fresh. I always enjoyed this fragrance but I am really becoming a big fan of this one as I wear it more often. Great, classy, fresh, Italian style masculine fragrance!

This fragrance has a note of those fantastic Italian lemons... With a breeze of violet and geranium, galbanum and nutmeg. This blend is sitting on a wonderful base of oak moss, patchouli and a soft and velvety leather... Pure bottled elegance. Here we have a fresh, creamy, seductive and manly fragrance. Well... Maybe It's not for “kids”, and almost mandatory to wear it well-dressed (It's perfect with a suit). Very long lasting for a fresh fragrance, specially on clothes (I can smell it days later) and approved for all seasons. So grandpas, stop longing for the past and enjoy modernity; This is a classy and contemporary scent that you can wear perfectly in a lounge club on a summer night, and not just in a bingo hall of a nursing home. ... And kids: Buy a good suit, fix that hair and start to wake up; it's time to park the skateboard and play with the most precious ladies... Or don't you want to? Well, with these last two sentences, I think it's clear what is the mood for this fragrance. ... Enjoy it. :)

This is a quite superb spicy, woody, fresh, soapy scent very much in the Chanel Platinum Egoiste vein but this is even more refined than Egoiste. It takes all the harshness out of Egoiste and brings a touch of sweetness to the mix with the Amalfi Lemon lingering for the duration. The opening does have that slight petroleum note that you find in Fahrenheit which lasts for maybe 15 minutes and with the added leather you could be forgiven for thinking this is going to go quite dark but the drydown really is superb here as it evolves into that slightly sweeter, smoother, soothing Platinum Egoiste. This is quite strong stuff and I would probably only wear it in cooler weather - you get strong projection for a good couple of hours and it lasts a good 6 hours on my skin, which again is better than Egoiste for me. Easily a 9/10 for me and this will be my go to cold weather scent in the coming months. Picked a 100ml bottle up for £20 in the BF sale which is quite unbelievable.

I haven't smelled the original 1983 fragrance by the same name, but I'm glad I sampled this one day just by chance, having never heard of the Trussardi brand or their perfumes. That was 10 years ago, and to date, this 2011 Uomo remains my favourite scent. I read all the listed notes and I detect none of them individually - I don't get anything citrusy, nothing floral, nothing green or mossy and definitely no leather; now I don't know what galbanum, geranium and clary sage smell like individually, but the scent doesn't smell floral to my nose, just some divine powdery note I can't put a finger on. If I could image what heaven smells like, this is it. Thank you Monsieur Aurelien Guichard, this is a masterpiece. I can't get hold of the EDP of this unfortunately, I wish the projection and longevity were stronger/longer.

Trussardi Uomo is an aromatic woody fragrance that flirts with the fougere family. It opens with citrus and a floral aromatic base of geranium and violet, which is slightly darkened with a note of leather and nutmeg. I find similarities with Platinum Egoiste and Legend by Montblanc, but it has its own personality, while Legend is more fruity and Platinum is more herbal and metallic, Uomo is more spicy and a little dark. For me Uomo is the fragrance of a gentleman who still opens the car door for a lady, who dresses well and has good manners. I was never able to taste the original version (1983), but this is a decent fragrance that I like. Can be used in any season of the year.

Ha, it is the scent of Soviet chypre cologne, for goodness' sake. This is not a joke. That's the way my grandfather always smelled when he used to go to party committee meetings in the morning. As for me, it is captivating, elegant, and memorable. Wearing this perfume will make you stand out and be desired by others. I highly recommend giving it a try! It has great longevity, lasting 10.5 hours on the skin and staying on clothing, like a suit, for a few days. Suitable for any weather, even in hot summers. The scent is strong but not overpowering.

When I first tried Trussardi Uomo, I was so excited. This perfume is totally versatile. You can use it from January until December unstoppable. You can wear jeans, suit ,tuxedo, anything you desire, and you can use Trussardi Uomo. Semi sweet aromatic citrus at first and then you feel the botanical middle stage until you reach the soft leather base. Excellent creation. It's something like an update version of Platinum Egoiste. Longevity is very good. Detectable for sure. A creation only for men. I like it very much. Thank you Mr Guichard.

A true masterpiece thats how a man should smell! Leather is strong but geranium and galbanum are these that makes it so special. For men over 30-35 sure it's a winter frag and i would say for all day use. Longevity is about 3-4 hours (could be much better) but for these hours everybody around you are gonna ask you what is the name of that sexy frag. Forget trends that malls wanna sell to you give a try to that unique smell and you will not regret. Huge plus the price.

A hidden gem.It's a very special scent, zesty spicy, light, warm and elegant. It opens up with like citrusy , slightly spicy and Galbanum in the background then dry down is leathery woody. It has a great opening and wonderful dry down. It's good for the Spring, Fall and Winter Great Italian style fragrance. I love Trussardi Uomo 2011. I highly recommend this perfume. Never try this on a paper , have it sprayed on ur wrist and enjoy it with all of ur senses . I had it on my arm and bought it after 2 minutes . My nose detects the leather note with no hardship . Plus ; to my nose I can smell fresh tobacco that is neither sweet nor bitter .. something so special about this fragrance . Will not compare it to any other perfume coz this one has got its own line . Longevity is good Sillage is fine

Delicate and velvet, it combines notes of flowers, leather, moss, and spices. In Guerlain's Vetiver, there is a comparable aroma that shares overall tone and character rather than specific notes.

Tested it today. A calm, gentle fougere. It feels like classy shaving foam. Bright, not thick. It has Azzaro PH in its vein, but more modern. Makes me digging in heavier fougeres or the toned up EDP version of this. You can really wear this for work and then during the night out. Longevity and sillage are below average; however its nice. Edit: I got it as a gift. Love this scent, just wish it had more projection.

Classy and sofisticated fragrance that is very versatile, you can wear it casual, work and formal. It's a more mature scent, but I think everybody can wear age 25+. IMO very underrated scent, there is a lot of hate because some people compare it to old Trussardi Uomo, but this is modern and more wearable version.

Quite distinct aroma, I haven't come across anything alike, I can say it is unique. However hard to pick a specific note here to my nose seems pepper lemon and leather are more dominant. Recommended if u r looking 4 something very different. I can't compare with the original since I don't know that.

This has an old school vibe but adds sweetness and freshness where it's not dated. It does have elements of Chanel Platinum Egoiste but with its added sweetness it becomes mass appealing. I like this a lot and can definitely recommend it if you're looking for a casual and classy fresh scent.

Excellent scent. very classy. perfect for the office, but would be at home in more casual situations as well. Love the interplay of the citrusy opening with the leather undertones. Longevity on me was actually pretty good with decent sillage for the first two hours.

I had the original Trussardi back in the 80's and this 2011 version comes very close to it. The citrus opening is very nice. I have had it on for more than two hours and it still smells fresh. It smells nice, clean and sophisticated. I will be wearing it often.

Masculine, elegant, strong, sexy. Great longevity and projection. (I seriously don't get all the negative comments - maybe you people got fakes for 20$ from weird websites?) It is an amazing fragrance for a man with class and power. Sex in a bottle. 10/10.

The drydown of this is juuuuust sexy sexy ASF!! You absolutely must wait for the drydown to give this a fair note! Sex in a bottle! I have many bottles of cologne,but this is amazing...

One of the most elegant and sexy fragrance. I have a 2020 batch with very good 2h projection and 8h+ longevity. Now I have to try the new EDP 2019 version!

This is how a 90s - 00s bollywood movie star would smell like. Very versatile and gives an approachable aura to the wearer.

Love it BUT I don't recommend wearing this on a hot summer day. I'd say this is more suited for the cold weather.

I'm very unexperienced when it's about male fragrances,I just know that I usually tend to love colognes that most people say they're generic smelling.I can't even pick up lots of popular male notes,so I can only judge by one thing:my nose and my nose likes this one Bergamot and leather are rated as prominent notes but to my nose this is not a citric scent,not a leathery one either.ofcourse they're both there but not in the front It opens quite sharp with spicy citruses.citruses aren't juicy and not really fresh,nutmeg makes them kind of rough and dry.after less than ten minutes it settles down to a scent that some people may call it a typical and generic masculine scent but to my nose this is pleasant and what I like to smell on a man I can't detect violet at all and leather,if is there,has a balancing role.I can smell granium and moss as dominant notes while a hint of galbanum and bergamot are mingling through.first I thought there must be mint in it but this green note could be patchouli,bay or simply oak moss.as I mentioned before I'm not good at detecting notes that are mostly used in male fragrances.my point is:notes are well blended and I believe this is a very good option for gift,just as it's female version,Trussardi donna.they both have elegant and heavy bottles and versatile,easy to like scents so if I wanted to buy a couple perfume for a couple specially in their 30s and 40s,I'd choose Trussardi Uomo and donna 2011 Longevity is moderate while sillage is better in the first hour,it's wearable year round and can be used in any occasion All in all I like it ❤❤❤

TRUSSARDI UOMO WHEN I BOUGHT THIS ONE I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING THE OLD VERSION 1983 BUT INSTEAD I WAS GIVEN THE 2011 EDITION VERY DISAPPOINTED I WILL REVIEW THIS 2011 VERSION TOP NOTES I DO GET THE BERGAMOT NUTMEG AND GALBANUM THIS DOES NOT LAST THEN MIDDLE NOTES COMES IN I DO GET THE VILOET HARD TO SAY ON THE OTHER TWO NOTES BASE NOTES I DO GET THE LEATHER OAKMOSS SLIGHT PATCHOULI THE TOP NOTES SCENT IS VERY UNIQUE AND I ENJOYED IT BUT SHORT LIVED THE MIDDLE AND BASE NOT TO REALLY FOND OFF AS I FIND THE SCENT A LITTLE SYNTHETIC MIDDLE ESPECIALLY AT THE BASE THATS MY OPINION. Sweet, aromatic and aquatic. Opens with a hyper-realistic mint note; it's fresh and a little spicy. Turns aquatic with chlorinated, watery aromas (swimming pool.) It's not unpleasant though. Gets fruity, maybe a hint of green apple. It remains aromatic, has vanilla and sandalwood leading onto a faint clean musk. The base is woody with slightly spicy coniferous notes. I think it's unisex, maybe leaning masculine. Best for summer, daytime. Gym and office friendly. Any age group really. Performance isn't that bad; it has good projection and lasts as a musky, conifer-wood skin scent for 10+hrs (on my skin.) The bottle may resemble the 1981 edition but thems the breaks. Very misleading packaging; bottle should be Hockney-blue not black and gold? Overall it reminds me most of "Adidas Ice-Dive." If you want a better performing version of that, this is it.

I can't be mad at this bottle. Honestly, i don't understand the low rating on it either. The color of this bottle should be blue though, just like Bentley Black should be called Bentley Blue or something. This is classy, fresh and soft with a green vibe that goes more into the "out of the shower" camp rather than woody/leafy. I really like this type of scent so maybe that's why i find this pleasant and enjoyable while others may find it boring. Good pick up though if you wanna feel fresh and classy instead of fresh and sporty. Fits any season, but perhaps spray something heavier during the really cold days cause the performance here is just average. Also, it doesn't smell like Montblanc Legend at all, like not even close. Whoever voted for that should look on ebay for a new nose or something, lol.

A very interesting mix of notes that rarely come together. Summery citrus and aquatic (yes, definitely, even though they are not listed) notes interplay with vetiver, leather and spices. Really good and long-living on me. It is, of course, possible that it lasts only a couple of minutes on someone else (eg. authors of some previous opinions). But on me? The opening lasts like two hours! I mean the phase when I get mostly the citruses and aquatic notes. After that the leather comes to the first row and all in all this scent lasts more than 8 hours, which is very, very decent.

Atomizer: Great, sprays well not pressurized Opening notes: A lot of bergamot and lemon on the first spray. After 5 min this tones down and the flowery notes come out. Longevity: 4-6 hrs on my skin, 8hrs on clothing. (aircon room) or 6hrs (non aircon room.) Not good projection, I reccomend to do 5-7 sprays if you want to project, but it has great sillage. Good for day/night office / school wear. I think it's more suited to older men, as it is a very mature and masculine scent. 8.5/10 fragrance.

Well blended, fresh, but sophisticated scent. Pretty much plays the same role as a blue fragrance, as it works in most situations, although to my nose it is a bit more on the chic end. Decent sillage, and definitely mass appealing, but the longevity is a bit of a let down. All in all a really nice fragrance. 9/10 Smell 8/10 Projection 5.5/10 Longevity 9/10 Versatility 8.5/10 Overall

I ́ve never had the honor to experienc the 1984 version! But I can imagine all the positive reviews here about it. So what I think about the 2011 version is quite simple. Its watery-airy-lemony with some spices in the background which make the leather note nonexistent. Its wearable and clean for office and those smooth days. I got it from my woman and she loves it on me.

The opening bit unpleasant for me, all note muddled each other. It's classy men's cologne. It pleasant on the mid to dry down phase. Moderate projection and longevity(4-6 hours). 1-2 hour moderate to strong noticeable smell. It is sweet but not gourmand, bubblegum, or fruity. 8/10 not my type of scent but great for inexpensive fragrance.

This is a fragrance that makes the difference that is suppossed to make. Somebody that likes 'sweeter' - winter perfumes is very likely to love it. It lasts a lot, but the problem, on my skin at least, is that after 8-10 hours the base notes emit a 'cheaper' deodorant sense. This doesn' t prevent it from being stylish and notable though.

Planet Trussardi: At the beginning there is a rather bizarre revelation because I associate this perfume with the shampoo Clear. It is not a negative criticism but for some reason my nose led me there. However, in the middle phase things change, I feel something metallic and powdery. It is a virile but elegant fragrance.

I dislike when new fragrances are given the same name as an older classic yet are different scents entirely. I have fond memories of the original 1983 incarnation and the modern version is neither as distinctive or as impressive. Nevertheless, it still exudes a classy, expensive vibe.

I really don't know what were our wishes and/or expectations but Uomo(2011) is really manly and sexy and talking about longevity and sillage- I can take a shower and it is still there projecting it's aura around me. Uomo really leaves an impression just give him a chance..

Yine konuşmadığımız çok underrated bir parfüm. Tam bir genel beğeni parfümü. Fakat kokuda gram derinlik yok. 4 mevsim ve gece, gündüz kullanılabilecek bir joker koku. Parfümü kesinlikle deneyin. Koku güzelliği 8/10. Performans olarak yayılım vasat kalıcılık 5-6 saat.

Kalıcılığı ve farkedilirliği oldukça düşük bir koku. Kaküle ve bergamot yüzünden bana biraz Kenzo Power'ı anımsattı. Yaz için güzel ancak alternatifleri varken kalıcılığı bu kadar düşük bir parfümün kullanılması pek de mantıklı değil.

First, it has absolutely nothing in common with the original Trussardi Uomo. However, it's a nicely done modern male fragrance. It has floral and creamy qualities (for me at least). But it's just too... well-behaving to be bold.

Interesting fragrance, defenately a good all arounder. The projection is good, it last a good 5-8hours so longevity isnt an issue. It is not very popular so if you want something more unique,obscure and classy its the way to go!

Just a 20 minutes breeze..and nothing else. Of course no contact with the initial version. The Italian greyhound proved to be undearable fragile. Ok, better luck next time..

nice smell but the preformance is very problematic. this frag is WEAK!!! you can hardly smell it after 2 hours (top). it stays after 2 hours only as a weak skin scent...

it is Good scent, very strong!very interesting Smells same as Trussardi 2014 extrime.modern

This is a solid work scent. I wasn't too impressed by it originally but it grows on me. I prefer the red flanker to this for some reason. I would say that this one needs a bit of patience because the opening spritz is a bit of a mess. There are too many contrasts and it is a bit bedazzling, probably leave the lemon out. I wonder how it played in the perfumer's development. Like others have noted, the dry down for this is delectable. The leather makes this a very masculine floral scent. Not too loud, sits well on the skin and lasts at least 4 hours. There is definitely some projection. I still think this is an ok scent. Maybe i'll change my mind on this. But at the price point, its very decent value.

Nose Note #961 There is indeed something from Montblanc Legend in here, but if you compare them side by side Legend has a strong lavender accord, whereas this is so incoherent, quiet and combed that you can hardly name anything that stands out. This is one of those perfumes that expresses nothing. It's a half clean scent for any season, a dumb reach. It is pleasant, but very boring. To my nose it's one of those quasi-leather + violet scents just like My Land and CH Men, but this time weaker and less impressive. Hard to describe it. Just a very mass market fragrance for men and don't wear fragrances. 6/10, very unimpressive

It smells too generic, and like a deo/aftershave and it's performance is kinda bad. I don't really smell anything listed above, beside some leather and aromatic notes. There is a quite strong marine/oceanic vibe. I'll give it one more try next month. Edit: so I wore it a little more, and I gotta say It's more agreeable for me now. I still get that deo vibe that bother me. It stars very citrusy and soft spicy with a strong violet note, and dries down to a aromatic leathery scent, some earthy vibes from oakmoss and a soft spicy aura. There's still something that gives me an watery note. the bottle looks nice tho

Tested in fragrance shop. On my skin projection disappeared instantly, I literally had to put nose on wrist in order to smell something. Tested again same thing. I dont know if its bat batch in 2023, but not worh money. Edit: I got compliment and I am told where is scent trail behind me. Perhaps its just me not being able to pick up smell.
