Pipe

Pipe opens with a burst of sweety thick and syrupy tobacco with musky nuances, as it dries down dried fruits and florals come out - dancing with dry tobacco. The quality is prominent and the scent is potent - great for winter/fall and a star in it's category. "smells like.. dates" - according to my brother smelling the cap (I agree) 8/10, happy to own a full 30ml

This is lovely! I'm enjoying this very much. You have to like the smell of a cigar shop's humidor. If you don't like that, you won't like this. It's also reminiscent of a smoking lounge. Old wood, old suits, old leather, old money. Bitter tobacco. Real tobacco. Just a hint of sweet fruitiness.

The truest to form life cycle of tobacco from harvest to finished cigar. Brilliant. Easily one of the best tobacco fragrances on the market.

Masterful use of animalics. There's a ton of them.

Rolling wet tobacco in a cigar shop while eating a cinnamon bun. There's an ever so subtle sweetness up top, but it gradually dissipates as a resinous, animalic, dried fruit smell starts to appear. Quite a lovely scent, not something I'd wear, but do enjoy smelling. also this stuff is so strong on my skin, take the other performance votings with a grain of salt

Even with (Pipe) being on the same tobacco trajectory as tabac dore, James (The Perfumer) manages to do two important things to this composition. He takes the sticky, moist rolling tobacco aroma that starts off in the opening and shifts it's transitory attention to a humidor/cigar box experience. It's like pressing the rewind button from when the cigar was smoked, up until it was packed inside the humidor! So essentially it's like a backwards experience with this fragrance but that's a positive feat! For my taste in Tobacco, I find it that the humidor is the most important aspect of tobacco which is done here to my satisfactory! There is something about the scent of a humidor that is super exciting to me, like the slow burning smokyness of elmers glue and the gassy effects of butane lighter fluid combined with cedar breath because that's the symbiotic relationship cedarwood and tobacco share! The other thing is the sweetness, but kind of like a floral sweetness is added here. I think it's the same sweetness that came from James's earlier (Blue Heaven) creations and incorporated it here brilliantly! This fragrance easily lasts over 8 hours! A must have for tobacco fans; love the bottle art too!

New king of pipe is out but it's at 350 bucks. Regular pipe and A man and his pipe were great but the price is a turn off for me. BTW this is nothing like bond T and tabac dore
