Berry Explosion

Berry Explosion sounded like exactly the kind of fragrance I should have loved. The note pyramid promises an overflowing basket of juicy fruits — raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, lychee, grapefruit — softened by rose and violet. Looking at the notes alone, I expected something playful, syrupy, fruity, and vibrant. Unfortunately, that is not what I experienced at all. The moment I sprayed it on my skin, I was hit by an extremely strong amber-heavy base that immediately overwhelmed everything else. Instead of distinct berries or juicy sweetness, the fragrance turned into a loud wall of sharp synthetic amber projection. The fruity notes felt buried underneath the structure of the perfume to the point where I genuinely struggled to identify any of them individually. What shocked me most was the projection. This thing was incredibly strong — easily noticeable from across the room — but the intensity came almost entirely from the sharp ambery base rather than from the fruit notes advertised in the composition. The fragrance felt less like “Berry Explosion” and more like “Amber Explosion with traces of fruit somewhere underneath.” The sharpness also became physically overwhelming for me. I ended up washing it off because the amber accord was so aggressive and persistent that it completely drowned out any sweetness or playfulness the fragrance might have had. What frustrates me is that the brand doesn’t even disclose the base notes on their website, because clearly the real backbone of this fragrance is not the fruit — it’s the powerful synthetic amber structure underneath it all. And once that emerges, the listed notes become almost irrelevant on my skin. If you enjoy loud, projecting fruity ambers with a very synthetic modern profile, you might enjoy this. But if you’re expecting realistic berries, juicy sweetness, or a balanced fruity fragrance, this may end up feeling extremely misleading. On me, the fragrance was dominated almost entirely by an overpowering amber base that swallowed every other note whole.

This one comes across as a fruitier, sweeter take on its sibling Berry Blast. It has more bright fruit notes that make it feel more uplifting, juicy and overall sweeter. Feels more like a fruit punch scent. Out of the whole tub lineup, this is definitely one of the more feminine‐leaning options, the second most feminine in the bunch for me. Projection and longevity are average.
