Amber Vanilla Bean

I’ve tested fragrances alongside a friend and found that with most fragrances - woody, spicy, musky notes dominate for most of the drydown on me. That being said, this is a very simple “vanilla and warm amber” combination. On me, the amber-musk dominates and vanilla is softer. It’s very warm and smoky even. I actually really enjoy it although it’s rather simple and inexpensive. It’s a “sexy” vanilla on me. So far I love the 3 tulip fragrances I’ve tried. As far as Lottieem’s experience goes that’s really interesting and I would love to smell that bottle. Not saying fragrances can’t be bad on some people or weird in general but i just want to know why it smells so ... horrifically AWFUL on them lol. Perfume science is weird

I just bought the small roller ball oil of this based on description and Fragrantica reviews here. Drove to whole foods only to find out they didn't have it, so I did a blind buy. So happy I did! I love it! It's a natural and not only does it smell amazing, it has a decent lasting power which is hard to come by. It's a creamy vanilla amber that dries down ever so slightly powdery. I like a slight powdery fragrance. A warm, sweet scent...I'll definitely buy the spray when I'm done with the roller.

This was my first really vanilla-y vanilla fragrance and I still love it. The review below mine states that it's discontinued, but I just looked at their website and it's available for sale, so I'm not sure where the 'discontinued' information comes from. I don't smell much amber, this is straight up vanilla on me.

I love this fragrance. The name says it all - it’s vanilla and amber. Simple and lovely. It is a warm and beautiful scent that lasts forever. Perfect for fall and winter, but would realistically work in any season. I absolutely love Tulip perfumes!

I love amber and vanilla, but this was truly the most disgusting fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I couldn’t wait longer than 15 minutes for it to develop or dry down, so maybe something magical does happen eventually (I’m very doubtful), but I’ve been scrubbing my arms for the last 10 minutes in an attempt to relieve myself from this smell. The best way to describe it would be that perhaps a basement full of books/paper documents, taxidermy, open cleaning products, and one tiny bottle of fake vanilla extract flooded, causing all of those things to mix together, and was then left flooded for several years so the stench could develop before being bottled and sold as perfume. Either I got a bad bottle, or this perfume is shockingly icky.

I was a bit put off by the harshly metallic (I think!) first spritz...but a half hour or so later, the underlying rich creamy gourmand foundation took over. I really like it! Sweetness emerges and the dreamy softness lingers until you bathe it off. Gentle and feminine after that first synthetic smelling moment. UPDATE: Loving this more with each wearing! Don’t let the first few moments determine your reaction to this gem! The lovely fragrance that takes over after the initial spritzes is worth the delay. I realized this when I had just sprayed Amber Vanilla on and dashed out of the room quickly, and when I returned smelled my own sillage in the air. I thought “what smells so delicious?” And after sniffing my wrists knew it was me! Since then I wear it daily and smell the powdery sweetness wherever I go. It’s so soft and pretty. That first spray evaporates into gentle, creamy vanilla powder every time.

I bought this at Whole Foods and it's a wonderful Fall/Winter scent. It's spicy,creamy,warm,smokey and radiates from the skin for 24 hours on me. It is not overly sweet in the way other vanilla fragrances can be.It has just the right amount of sweetness to it but it's not sugary at all. The Tulip line of fragrance is wonderful because it is free of chemicals!
