Barbe a Papa

My first review stated that this is an awful, chlorine-like scent of middling quality, and I'm coming back to eat my words. Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's macerating. Whatever it was has certainly done me a favor. Have you ever been in a situation where you could use some extra cash, and then - voila - you find an old bag or clothing with a blessing in your pocket? Miraculous, truly. This to me is that kind of situation under the fragrant light. You know how the first stage is denial. I sprayed it in the bathroom a few months ago and instantly felt shocked that it didn't smell revolting the way I remembered, the way that had had me rushing to the bathroom to wash it off. The first attempt to wear it on skin again was surprisingly not as disastrous as I'd expected and I still couldn't believe my, well, nose, clear as I remembered pulling away in disgust upon smelling this before. But it's oh so good now. I get strawberry milk and gingerbread and musk, the better kind. Perfumey but much less than you'd expect for the price. This is everything I love: smooth and creamy, saccarine but gentle, pure crystalline white musk that smells like fairy dust. It's like a baby pink lace veil, the magical allure of innocence. The fragrance also becomes more lasting with time, I could spray it on a couple hours before going to bed, wake up and still smell it for a while, and for a moderately lasting, extra sweet perfume it is never in your face. As for other technical specifications, it is linear, and for something named "Cotton Candy" in French, like some reviews below state, it's not cotton candy-forward at all, although I don't think it would be any better if it was. Nothing can outdo Pink Sugar in terms of cotton candy scents, however this is so good as is that it earned a spot on my favorites folder, and I have over 70 frags to choose from. Some perfumes really deserve a second chance. I'm glad it happened to me because this stuff is probably the best you can have for $20, and it's what sweet dreams are made of. Smells the way Les Sucettes by France Gall sounds in the best way possible.

I really like the fragrances from Tutti Delices, what initially attracted me to this particular brand is the fact that I have a sweet tooth I love sweets and desserts and their perfumes are all inspired by sweets, and the packagings for their perfumes are so creative and cute! Another reason that makes Tutti Delices perfumes appealing is their cheap price, here in Australia they usually cost about AU$20 each, I bought them when they were on sale for $15 each. I bought all 4 of their signature perfumes, this cotton candy one, as well as the vanilla caramel, candy apple and strawberry sweet. I'm not a big fan of sugary sweet perfumes in general, but I mainly bought these because of their insanely adorable packagings! This cotton candy scented fragrance is 1 of my favs from this particular brand, the notes are very accurate and the sugary cotton candy note is very prominent in this. Even though I do love the smell of these Tutti Delices perfumes, I probably would not wear any of them on myself when I go out because they are just too sweet for me to wear on myself, while I do love eating desserts and sweets, I don't particularly want to smell like one! I'll probably just use them as room refresheners, but if you love to wear sweet sugary perfumes then these Tutti Delices perfumes would be perfect for you.

Second bottle purchase, I went thru my original in about 3 months. Literally emptied the bottle and I never do that! I'm telling you straight up as a cotton candy ho this is a 95% dupe of HOS Minnie Mouse, just not as jammy. If you're into sweet sweet gourmands and cotton candy scents this will definitely be your love! Of all the cotton candy scents I own (at least 11, Boardwalk Delight, Unicorn Fruit, Zuccherro Filato, Sucre de coton, Demeter Cotton candy, Sugar Milk Grape cotton candy, bbw cotton candy clouds, Boardwalk taffy, pastel skies, body fantasies cotton candy, vs sugar blur, the land of ahhs cotton candy) and THIS is hands down my favorite and the most realistic, realistic meaning freshly churned fair cotton candy where you can smell sugar crystals in the air, not the cheaper already bagged shit, the real deal, iykyk! Silliage is pretty non existent and longevity isn't good but it's such a nice scent, and at this price just reapply! Just get it, it's a French cheapie that rivals a $250 fragrance to perfection

Totally gorgeous. I bought this and Fraise Bonbon for my daughters 13th birthday. She loves them both. It’s lovely and sweet without that screechy sickly generic stink that most cheap young perfumes smell of. It is not migraine inducing at all. This is so well blended for such an affordable or dare I say “cheap” perfume. Cheap in $$$ not in quality. It has a fizzy fruit tingle edge and a dusting of soft sugar powder. It’s delightful and totally appropriate for young teens. It smells yummy, young and lighthearted which is what we want our young girls to smell like. And look how cute the packaging is! It’s too too cute, the bottle is a cupcake. So sweet looking and the fact that it’s made in France and has lovely French names is even more appealing. Makes the whole experience special.

This is such an awful scent. I'm not sure how to describe it properly, I did smell something like this before but my mind just won't let me recall it, probably for my own good. To give an approximate description, it's like a cheap grocery store cupcake dipped in a particularly unpleasant fabric softener. Chlorine-like smell made artificially sweet. Maybe that's what happens when the musks used are cheap and low quality. This is the first time a fragrance literally makes me sick to my stomach. Fortunately it was easy to wash off and it doesn't cost a mortgage payment so no harm done. As a Pink Sugar enjoyer, previously I'd gladly give cheap frags a shot but not so sure anymore. Maybe I'm turning into a perfume snob.

As a real perfume, no, this isn't great, but as a cotton candy scent, I find it to be the one that reminds me most of actual cotton candy. For that purpose, I think it's excellent. I haven't tried the Demeter Cotton Candy because many people said it doesn't hit the mark. I tried the Dua Brand one and found it to be too heavy and more like caramel/vanilla. This is a very simple, light, airy, childish scent, but it's literally called cotton candy and it delivers that perfectly for me. It's not like Prada's Candy which delivers a fully realized sophisticated perfume based on the idea of candy, so don't expect something like that, expect something like a Demeter one note only type scent.

What a lovely joyfull uplifting smell. Its like cotton candy mixed with vanilla ice scream. Sweet but not sickening. Maybe proper word is delicious. Its a must try for gourmand perfume lovers. Its the only one i really love from tutti delices( others not so well balanced, makes me bit sick). Do not judge it from first sniff. It can have strong alcohol smell after first spray. Let it down and ooooh such a candy land paradise.... it makes me feel happy without reason. Weee 🥰🍭🍦and what a cute botle. I wish tutti delicious work more for balancing their perfumes, like idea is beautiful. Good example could be womans secret gourmand edt candy, berry, etc.

Minnie Mouse, is that you? Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I received Barbe A Papa and sprayed it on. I got that same fluffy raspberry marshmallow goodness that I get with Minnie Mouse! The lasting power is pretty much the same on both as is the scent bubble. I am over the moon with happiness since Minnie Mouse is one of my favorite perfumes! And the bottle is also super cute! I was scared to go thru Minnie Mouse too fast but now that I know that there is a perfume that's $25 that smells exactly like it I feel much better!

Smells like fruity cotton candy gummies! I really like it, it’s not very sugary. I would consider more fruity and definitely sweet but not the usual sugary scent u find in cotton candy perfumes. This is actually one of my favorite perfumes, I like to layer it with a sugary cotton candy body mist. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t last very long, which makes me sad because it’s so delicious.

Barbea`Papa is my favourite of this Tutti Delices` range. Get hold of a chef's blowtorch, and set your sugar bowl on fire with it. That is exactly what this nectar smells like. Sugar slightly singed. It's sweet, and delicious. Dry down brings a faint background of berries. Longevity and silage are really good. If you love sweet that is devoid of any florals.... you will love this.

This is one of my favourite perfumes! It is sweet and delicious. It smells like cotton candy and after an hour on my skin it develops like Yum Boujee Marshmallow Kayali. It last 5-6 hours on me. Love it. The price is great

Picked this up from carrefour market for like 10 euro. I don't care I love this. Who cares if it's childish? I love smelling like sweets. I find myself sniffing my hand often 🤭

This is gonna be a great easy reach for any time of year, day or night. Im a sucker for cotton candy. Very sweet, love the red barries in here.

This smells like artificial strawberries, vanilla, altogether too much sugar for anyone's good, and a wisp of cold musk in the dry-down that likes to play hide-and-seek... I'll catch it, then it's gone again. It smells like my childhood. It's the sweet-smelling dolls tossed haphazardly about the living room, as I bounced from sofa to end table playing "The floor is lava." It's the strawberry-cream swirl lollipop clenched between my teeth, as I raced my banana-seat bike alongside the railroad track, hoping against hope that THIS time I could outrun the engine. It's a giant bowl of bright pink cereal on Easter Sunday; the one day each year I was allowed cereal with sugar as one of the first three ingredients. This is neither sincere nor mature, and pretends to be neither. What would one expect from a fragrance bottled in a pink plastic cupcake? Surprisingly, it lasts all night as a skin-scent. Layering it with Vanille Solinotes body spray takes away a bit of the artificial scent and softens it into something more akin to a delicious bubble bath fragrance. It's a bottled scent-memory. I am reserving this one for days when I'm not feeling well, and bedtime. For the price-tag, it's worth a place on my shelf as a mental-health boost. Even the bottle makes me smile!

For anyone who was a child in the 90s: this perfume gave me an olfactory flash back to scented cupcake dolls. Dolls with big plastic hats and plastic skirts which folded upwards to disguise them as cupcakes! I had forgotten all about those dollies until I smelled barbe a papa. This fragrance does not smell at all like candy floss to me. It smells like sweet strawberry and creamy vanilla sugar scented plastic. Perhaps a more relatable smell alike comparison, for the other generations, would be to compare its scent to the taste of strawberry milk foam sweets. It lasts a good few hours on me and I have no trouble smelling it in a little bubble around me. Tbh I'm not sure it's the kind of scent that would be very enjoyable if it was much stronger than it is already.

So, first of all this review will only be MY opinion, whenever you like it or not. That;s your opinion for you <3 Personally this perfume it is not what I search when looking for a cotton candy scent, but it does not mean it's not a good perfume. I really like how light it is and how much this remind me of those old perfume I used to buy when little girl, very nostalgic. It has this lightly sweet scent but not one of cotton candy (sadly)... it has a bit flowery smell that I find very good to smell at! I also don't really find any smell of vanilla, maybe its just me. In conclusion: It is a great perfume but does not have this true cotton candy smell that I search for. Anyways bye byyye~

When I first tried it I hated it, but now that it’s been maturing for a few months it’s so much prettier. It’s very youthful and not something for a formal occasion at all, but when I just want something sweet and light-hearted I spray a bit of this. It does remind me a bit of scented erasers, but it’s still a surprisingly nice cute fragrance. Edit: layered it with Softly by Jil Sander, and they work very well together. Softly becomes sweeter and less sour, and barbe a papa gets a touch of clean laundry which elevates it a bit.

Barbe a Papa has no business being so good for a perfume marketed to teens! It has the fizzy fruity airy sweetness (almost like cream soda) at the top of Olympic Orchids African Orchid with a heavier emphasis on the spun sugar accord but of course without the woodsy floral base. Barbe a Papa is not particularly long-lasting but it is surprisingly good quality for the price! I do not find it especially childish, though it is very artificial in a whimsical way.

Super sweet with a prominent cotton candy note. I’d say this is more for teens than adolescents/adults. Still a nice perfume, but longevity + projection is weak. I’d say save your money and invest in a better perfume in the same scent profile, but if you’re looking for an affordable fragrance that you don’t feel guilty about spraying a bunch (which is what I was looking for at the time i purchased it), go for it!

I got a sample of HOS Minnie mouse and fell in love with the scent, but not the price. I think Tutti is very similar in the fluffy, sweetness, but lacks some of the jammy raspberry found in minnie. I'd say they're similar, but it's not a dupe and leans more into a cotton candy scent vs a vanilla. However, for the 20$ price, I plan to pair this with a nice raspberry lotion, and I think it'll do the job just fine!

bought this because I saw it on insta and the bottle was super cute 💗 it smells like sweet cotton candy and bubblegum but musky and a bit synthetic, since I’m not a fan of musk it really throws me off, but aside from that I’d say it’s worth the price, it’s a cute, sweet, girly cotton candy fragrance

this perfume smells just like strawberry bubbles. it embodies the charm of kids glittery flavored lip gloss and if girlsgogames had a scent i think this would be it. the sillage is too weak for others to smell on me, but i keep smelling my own hand. its adorable and nostalgic and makes me smile :)

Very sweet, smells like candied strawberries. Super long lasting, decent sillage. Very cheap too! Will definitely be too sweet for most though.

This was sadly not a keeper for me. It is not bad, just very light, very fleeting, and supremely juvenile. I love a good cotton candy scent (Pink Sugar is a longtime love) but this one just doesn't really deliver. Smells like a body spray, lasts about half as long, and just doesn't have any WOW qualities to it, not even for $10. The packaging is super cute though. I will just give my bottle to my coworker's teen. She is gonna love it. The most prominent note is the cotton candy one, but it's weak. Definitely for a younger crowd.

Rating: 🙂 Do I like it: Meh Who it is: diabetic coquette sipping on her overly sweet lemonade Smells I get:sugar accord, sweet, vanilla, synthetic Meyer's Briggs type: INFP Dufts of fresh sugar exchanging with dufts of vanilla. They hit the sugar note on the head, really. Possibly the most sugary smell I've ever smelled. Obnoxiously diabetic. They attempted to add berries, but in fact this is a lot of sugar and a bit of citrus on a base of synthetic, plastic musk. Not very good, but even so, addictive.

I really thought it would be a more fluffy condensed cotton candy, I prefer the dry down so much more ! When you first spray this it smells like musty red berries, the dry down is a flully cotton candy with a quite light red berries note. When it blends together, it smells a bit pepperish ... I also love when you spray that one in the air. But I'm not a personal fan of the note of red berries (Billie eilish being an example), if you adore red berries AND cotton candy, this one is 100% for you !

Just got this one but I don t like it. It smells very cheap like some kind of berries that are expired. No barbe a papa in it and no vanilla. Or maybe I got a bad bottle...it s absolutely no similarity with Pink Sugar. The bottle is very cute though, like a cupcake.

Tart, red-berry lipbalm. Sweet and spiking and obviously artificial. Not my favourite but not terrible, a worthy candidate for carrying in my handbag without being fearful of losing it. I wouldn't look forward to wearing this over other perfumes but it's a sugary fragrance that I don't need to be precious with.

I'm quite disappointed, I hoped it would have a sugary scent but it smells of artificial flavor. I hoped it would remind me of vintage lollipops, but instead it reminds me of those scented erasers that stained the paper instead of erasing it.

cheap cotton candy scent. not "affordable" cheap. cheap - cheap. not even worth the cheap price. just avoid.

I was so excited to receive this in the mail as someone living in the US, they're not sold here unless you can find an eBay seller or something. I managed to find a seller who shipped very fast and now I can finally review this much anticipated perfume. First impression: cotton candy lollipop. The very first blast smells exactly like the perfect cotton candy perfume I've been searching for. Starts fresh/tart strawberry and mellows into a candied cloud. The top notes seem to fade very fast but they sort of blend into the white musk. The musk is actually very noticable to me. It's a light vanilla musk though, not a heavy "perfume" musk. If you've smelled Bath and Body Works "Cotton Candy Cloud" it's extremely similar to my note except there's more of a "strawberry" note in the opening blast and I'd describe this one as more sweet in general. There's also the white musk at the base that cotton candy clouds doesn't have as much. The lasting impression it leaves on the skin is similar to the strawberry cream savers candy. I remember buying a similar scent from Hot Topic in a skull shaped bottle, this is very similar. It also has a slightly waxy dry-down that is reminiscent of cotton candy berry lip smackers

I just tried this today and it smells exactly like the synthetic plastic used to make a Barbie Doll. As soon as I sprayed it on my skin I was instantly taken back to the time I was 5 years old and unwrapping a new doll. They captured the smell of innocence, toys and youth perfectly. It’s not an unpleasant smell by any means but I didn’t end up buying a bottle because although I liked the scent, I’m not sure I want to walk around all day smelling like a fake plastic doll. As the scent progresses though, it does become slightly sweeter but those synthetic notes still remain strong. The bottle is very girl, pretty and sweet. I might purchase just because the bottle would look super cute on my vanity.

This thing is tacky, cheap and the quality is sub par - but I absolutely love it. Everything about this fragrance is artificial but not in a bad way, it doesn't come across as chemically rancid. Just artificial berries, artificial sugar and artificial vanilla. I mainly get sugared strawberries and vanilla. Sillage is laughable but it has remarkable longevity as a skin scent with 8+ hours, I'll give it that much! This surprising fragrance gets a 6/10 from me :)

sprayed it on my wrist to test and it smells really good! for the price i thought it would be an artificial scent, but it smells like a sweet cotton candy, with a bit of vanilla. So far its been on my wrist for one hour and its still there, im impressed. Its almost a nostalgic scent but i think if ou love gourmand perfumes try this one!

I’ve never smelled Minnie Mouse, but I can say this smells so good for the 30 minutes it lasts! It’s a sweet but light, fluffy, cotton candy scent. Super disappointed in the longevity but still won’t be spending $300+ on House of Sillage, so this will have to do until something better comes along!

I asked for this for my birthday🎈 It fits the theme of the day well as the bottle is a cupcake 🧁 A delicious inexpensive sweet treat, but not cloying. Quite similar to Pink Sugar which is my favourite, but no burnt sugar licorice notes.

Smells sweet and childlike. It smells like strawberry candy. It’s not really groundbreaking and it’s a bit too sweet for me. It’s not bad, it’s pleasant just try before you buy.

Love the bottle! I'm very curious about the scent and hope reviews will come soon. The others in the line sound delicious too, especially fraise bonbon and vanille caramel.

Sickening perfume, has its charm for sure, but I get hints of vomit wrapped in 5 kgs of sugar. Great for a 13-year old unicorn lover.
