Castagna

I personally associate it with christmas festivities, staying warm and cozy with my loved ones while wearing my best attire, feeling elegant and happy and loved. Smells like everything that's good and sweet and golden and translucent. Like watching sunrise through a shard of blonde caramel candy. It's warm, rounded, slightly sugary but in an almost "floral" way. Powdery heliotrope, but lightened by bergamot. Vanilla and maple syrup, balanced by the faintest jasmine and a modern iris. Roasting chestnuts on a bonfire, slow-burning in the background, ever present but so pure and nautral thanks to the woody notes and subtle musks. Splendid blend, artfully composed, original and somehow timeless. A masterpiece disguised in a silly packaging (clearly designed to keep away unadventurous, undeserving noses). Had this been a release from Tom Ford or L'Artisan everybody and their uncle would be wearing this little gem by now.

Lately, I've been been impressed with Italian brands, such as Xerjoff, Nasomatto or Trussardi. There's an elegant cachet I appreciate, even from frags I won't wear myself. I love even more focusing on humble and ancillary brands from any country. Here come Tuttotondo! Castagna, faithful to its name ("chestnut" in Italian) is the star of the show and the 1st chestnut-centered scent I've experienced that's neither mellow nor gourmand. Woody, rough and no-frills personality, despite those sweet and creamy notes listed. Guaiac took me by surprise (and that's most appreciated!), while its campherous facet is almost overwhelming. There's something addictive to it because it feels like I'm under a surprise spell every time I use it. Perfectly unisex.

Just have a sample too. It is very creamy, coconut, maple, musk blend into one. I dont think its for unisex, its for woman. Because its warm, creamy, sweet perfume. Moderate silage (4-5 hours) in my body. 7/10

A beautiful perfume, a cuddle feels the sweet note but it remains moderate even my father wears it. is very delicate not intrusive also suitable for indoors. Beautiful Christmas gift!

Top notes: Bergamot, Iris Heart notes: Chestnut, Cloves, Heliotrope, Maple syrup Base notes: Tonka bean, Gaiac wood, Sandalwood, Moss, Vanilla, vetiver This is an odd one! Yes it’s chestnut and maple syrup with smoky gaiac wood, but it also has a slightly medicinal clove and a lot of Iris. I’d describe this as a smoky chestnut and Iris perfume! Rather unusual and I’m still undecided about how much I like a smoky Iris. It definitely feels a touch festive. Could be a great alternative to Replica by the fireplace if that one is too strong, too smoky or too vanillic, this might be a better option as it’s not as sweet or dense.
