I love, love the rice in this. Smells exactly like a butter basmati rice that my friend used to make and just as comforting. Like Piano Santal and Narcisco Rodriguez Pure Musc had a baby. Tons of creamy rice delishness, like being wrapped in a fluffy white blanket. I dont get any of the citrus or raspberry in the notes. The amber comes out just a bit on the dry down, but this is mostly rice (which stays throughout), then a soft vanilla-based musk. A wonderfully inoffensive, mother's milk, your skin but better composition. More pros: Its also only about 30 dollars for a full bottle, so I bought it several weeks after sampling it at a friend's house as I just couldn't stop thinking about it. If you are looking for a creamy rice that stays rice, this one is it. (I also sampled several other rice frags, like dirty rice - too dirty, and white rice- not enough rice- before deciding which one to buy). Now on to the cons: longevity and projection are meh. Not the worst, but far from the powerhouses that occupy my first line of adoration. Also not a masterpiece or a show stopper. This one blends into the background pretty easily. I did get a compliment the first day I wore it, but the question focused on my shampoo/conditioner (which are scentless), as the projection is that indistinct. Also, there is a strong blast of alcohol right on initial spray- I don't expect much given the price and that it's an edt, but hope it will mellow more with time. All in all, it is quite unique in its rice-forward presentation. She's a beautiful softie pillow scent, and I'm happy to add her to my collection.

The initial spray (BTW the best atomizer ever!!) is a simple gourmand, citrusy vanilla. In the background there's a bit of golden basmati rice that fries a bit at the bottom of the pan. There's a really feminine, powdery vibe lingering around the notes, but it's not overly floral or soapy. It gives a huge feeling of comfort. Initially fresh and ethereal, it evolves after an hour into creaminess, warmth, and a pleasant powdery vibe given by the amber, vanilla, and musk. I'd categorize this as a musky/amber powdery gourmand. Even though it's not listed here, at the top, I detect tons of mandarin, ozonic accords, and something like raspberry. In the middle notes, I get the steamed rice accord, frangipani, and some kind of powdery floral (either a jasmine or rosy note). The dry-down is definitely an amber, vanilla, musky vibe. Overall, it's a great fragrance—very appealing and clean-smelling without being specifically suited for someone too young or old. I can see this fragrance becoming a bit cloying in very hot weather, but the overall milky vanilla scent is perfect for colder days when you want to smell clean and cozy. I really love this fragrance and would appreciate receiving it as a gift, so I'd say it's a good, safe blind buy. I got 100ml for €40, so it's not going to break the bank.

Cozy, sweety, an enveloping, warm aroma of vanillas' rise like some fresh baked pie or warm sugar milk. Dont hear mandarin at all, there's no citrus in this perfume for me. It's soo comfortable to wear it's like you're back in your childhood (its not 'old', just very comfy to your soul) My 10/10 lovely perfume!

I have tried many rice perfumes now, and this one is quite unique. It has a fruity, tangerine opening that reminds me a bit of an old BBW spray I had called Bali Mango, which initially threw me off. The fruits lose dominance quickly, and what’s left is a lightly sweetened, citric rice that borders on baby wipes but doesn’t too far in that direction like some other rice fragrances (cough, Nuit Tatami). It’s an EDT and performs like one, but will make a nice, easy spring and summer daytime scent and I love wearing it to bed as well.

A fruity rice pudding, slightly lactonic with hints of toasted grains. Very lovely scent, the only issue with this scent is it's poor longevity. It lasts only about 2 hours at max. Owning Kenzo's Nuit Tatami and having smelled Kenzo's Amour for test, Riso is the best scent rice-wise in my opinion. It's unique and complex as compared to the 2 other rice scents.

Did not like it when I first tried it. I was in too deep in woody luxurious perfumes at the time so this hit my nose and just pestered my nose with sweetness I couldn’t stand it. But lately I’ve been trying sweeter perfumes so my nose adjusted to this pleasantly and it’s honestly delightful. This would be the most gourmand scent I’ve tried tbh and I think my aversion to them was just bc my nose wasn’t prepared for them. This makes me want to try more that’s how lovely it is. And the rice is super apparent you cannot miss it. Which is what I wanted so yay. It’s so toasty and caramelized and warm and salty and sweet if there was ever a dessert made out of buttery fried rice that was like sweetened and crunchy like a cookie it would smell like this.

The actual notes here are a much more accurate representation of how this smells.... Top notes: Raspberry, Mandarin, Ozone Heart notes: Frangipani, Steamed rice accord, Rose Base notes: amber woods, Moss, Vanilla This is breezy and light. It’s fruity for sure, but not at all syrupy. The rice is there and it has a gentle sweetness too but there is a perfumey side to it too from the woods and flowers. Imagine eating some raspberries spritzed with mandarine juice and a spoonful of creamy rice pudding, while drinking a glass of water in your garden. That’s how Riso feels to me!

Sweet, vanillic, slightly citrus-y and light gourmand. The rice note is very pleasant albeit fleeting. Performance of this EDT is about 2-3 hours on skin and it does not project heavily. I accidentally tested this in very wet humid NYC heat, but it didn't become overly cloying despite the note makeup. Ps. 50ML is the worst site I've used in a while. Buy it from somewhere else if possible!
