Do Zafrica No. 110

I got the sample of this and was blown away by the absolute delight it is! I bought a bottle immediately. Then I bought another bottle. And then another one. I have never used up a 100ml bottle of anything before. And I have done it twice with this one. It is so fresh, dry, powdery, and airy. It has the perfect balance of citrus top and second skin scent on the bottom. My husband asked me what I was wearing the first day when I put it on and he had absolutely NO complaints. It is my evening ritual scent. I tried Bal D’afrique (which is more creamy and warm) but I actually prefer this fragrance. There is a brightness that gives it a more modern and fresh vibe. And there is no strange underlying synthetic smell that tends to go along with other dupe houses.

Twist Do Zafrica is so refreshing. A perfume that made to lift the mood. A great splash of gentle citrusy floral that isn’t overwhelming in either direction. I can’t imagine how they got that beautiful balance. There is a sunny freshness that I blame on the marigold and violet combination. Typically they say that clean fresh scents are due to the aldehyde note, this doesn’t have that note surprisingly yet it smells out-of-the-shower clean! I live in a city w Warm humid Springs and fall and hot Summers.. Do Zafrica is my go to for a pick me up!

Such an amazing alternative to Bal d’Afrique. I’d argue it’s even better. I fell in love with these notes when I sampled the Byredo version, but the longevity and silage is really poor for the price point. Do Zafrica has an identical dry down but with a much stronger projection. I think the marigold comes through a bit more in the first hour but everything else is spot on. I couldn’t be happier with this fragrance, it’s a perfect dupe.

Starts off floral in a powdery way, but quickly becomes juicy, with notes of red fruit and noticeable bergamot. The dry down is extremely fresh, almost soapy, with little to no sweetness remaining - as others have said, it ends up very 'fresh out of the shower' as the day goes on. Very easy to wear, obviously great for the price point.

Everyone says there is no dead on dupe for Bal D'Afrique. Well, this is a dead on dupe for Bal D'Afrique.
