Gold Issime

My mom only recently got into perfumes, having gone her entire life just randomly using whatever she got as a gift that she didn't straight up dislike. So she started buying cheaper perfumes, mostly Avon ones to test what she actually likes and dislikes before buying some with a higher price tag...now me and my MIL are running out of space to store all the pefumes my mom tries and doesn't like so she gives them to us 😅 So I took it into my hands to find something she might actually like with an affordable price tag, directions being: powdery and fresh. Gold Issime 100% delivered on those and it's even so much more...I'm so surprised and amazed how good something so affordable can be!! At first it's basically a straight up powder but then it mixes with the fresh, clean, soap like scent. And there is definitely some complexity when you take a longer sniff, all those notes coming up and adding to the beautiful scent of just washed skin...to me it's less of a "perfume" and more like a magical shower-in-the-bottle...when you have it on you smell exactly like a goddess who can't get dirty or sweaty and just magically smells divine all the time!! It's very affordable so it's easy to forgive the fact that it might not be the strongest or the most lasting perfume out there. But it is absolutely not synthetic or artificial in any way, some of the things you might expect with a lower price tag. Definitely a safe blind buy for yourself or as a gift, even tho the performance might not be the best ever the quality of the scent would easily make you believe it's much more expensive than what you can get it for!

To my nose this scent is so sexy, so glamorous, so expensive-smelling, even if the 'fume itself is so cheap. The aldehydes in this composition are so sparky and light, simply beautiful. Its sillage and lasting power aren't the best, but because of the price you can really bathe in this and can't complain. My mum had this in the mid 2000s, she blind bought it, but she didn't like it. Even though she didn't appreciate the smell, she used it until the last drop. It evokes a lot of memories from the period :3 Now she hates it ahahaha But I personally love it. This is so ladylike and classy in my opinion. Perfect for evening, perfect for sundays, perfect for special occasions. At the first spritz there are only aldehydes, they in the drydown you can detect also the powdery notes. It is really a dupe of the EDT of Chanel No 5, I just love it.

I couldn`t believe it. I just randomly spayed it in a local drugstore (dm) and went about my day. An hour later I returned and bought this together with a deodorant. Wow that`s maybe a dupe for Chanel No5 but what a beauty for 7 Euro! It is very linear, doesn`t smell like cheap alcohol in the opening (like many other cheapies). And lasts long, especially for this price. I like soapy fresh and "cold" perfumes. This one smells like an expensive white bar of soap. I hope it won`t be discontinued. Other female perfumes from UdV (in similar packaging) do smell cheap (they are also cheap!;-) but this one is definitely an expection. I somehow tempted to try somth else from a different line

Well, I love aldehydes and floral fragrances, so this is right up my alley! I love the bright, bold fizzy first burst when first applied. It really grabbed my attention in the best way. It doesn't last long, however, and quickly mellows to a soft ylang ylang and white floral bouquet. It reminds me of the scent of stephanotis. It also turns into much more of a skin scent at this time, which is lovely. It is going to be a terrific summer fragrance for me and I am a big fan. Sillage at first is moderate turning to soft when the heart opens. Longevity is 2-3 hours 3/5

Gorgeous perfume! Powdery, soapy, and fresh. It's lighter and more sparkly than Chanel No. 5. The aldehydes settle down to a floral fantasy centered around the African orange flower, ylang-ylang, and rice notes. I find it way better than those beach scents that don't know how to perform. This perfume works as a classy summer fragrance with an extra pizzazz.

Heavy powdery aldehydes, balanced with a fragrant ylang ylang and a sweet orange flower. Definitely Chanel N5 EDT reference, much closer to the original iteration than others I've tried. Easy to wear, I think any lady of any age (young or old) would enjoy wearing this. Perfect in the spring & summer, warmer weather makes this truly shine.

I had this perfume as a gift and I'm totally loving it! The smell of Aldehydes and African Orange Flower makes an amazing combination together. It smells fresh, clean, ladylike and pleasant! Also, the longevity is up to 12h on me and the sillage is perfect. Besides, it's pretty cheap.

Great value for money. Smells expensive, powdery, and like a rich Hollywood woman. I had it as a teen and was obsessed with the scent. On the hunt to obtain another bottle.

On first spray this almost smells like the vintage version of Chanel No. Not exactly the same, but enough that it made me think of that as soon as I sprayed it on. Like original No.5, this starts out with heavy aldehydes too. If you have an aversion to that you might not like this scent. It does calm down pretty fast though, but it is always there adding a sparkle to the jasmine, rose, and violet, that become more apparent as the aldehydes die down. But what really makes me think of No.5 is the heavy use of Ylang. It is the most prominent floral in the mix, so much so that I think it is even heavier here than in No.5. Since I love that note I am in ylang heaven when wearing this. There are also other differences that make this its own fragrance, particularly the rice note and orange flower, but that vintage No.5 impression is there throughout the life of the fragrance. I just wish it lasted as long as original No. 5. Even though it doesn't, I don't care, because I really, really like this fragrance. Just want to mention a word of warning. While the bottle is cute, if you keep it around other perfumes, as I have in a perfume cabinet, make sure the handle is sticking straight up otherwise it could get caught on other bottles. Thank God I have fast reflexes as one of my bottles went airborne thanks to that handle. So do take care. Edit 5/2024 - I was wearing Chanel No.5 the other day and I was struck by how much Gold smells like that. It really is remarkably similar. 2/2025 - Oh wow, I just tried Liu by Guerlain today and that smells almost identical to this. Much more so than No.5 did.

Two to three weeks before Christmas, I saw piles (!) of giftboxes (each containing one 100ml EDP bottle + 200 ml Shower gel for 10 euros) of it in the supermarket of my neighborhood. To be honest, I never really paid attention to this frag. Not that I look down inexpensive fragrances. On the contrary, I'm quite democratic to perfumes: I give them all equal opportunities (LOL). Up until before Christmas, those piles were completely sold out!!! Which is a good sign. Then I saw that Gold Issime is a dupe to Chanel No5. Which is another good sign. The price was the third good sign I needed to give it a try. And, oh, this is lovely! Clean, powdery, happy, innocent... Like an expensive bar of white soap. If you like these sort of perfumes, this little gem won't disappoint you. It has moderate longevity and the sillage is quite strong. Very easy to wear and really affordable (5.9 euros for a 30ml EDP bottle). A totally safe blind-buy!

Wow, now this is an interesting one! I got this blind based on the notes, and it was a bit of a gamble, but turns out a good gamble! It contains all my favourite flowers but I didn't know what to expect from the mix with aldehyde and rice notes. But wow, that is an absolutely lovely mix. The aldehydes makes the flowers somewhat fresher, almost a bit cytrus. And some powdery dry down that mixes it all together. This scent reminds me of a sunny spring morning, with fresh flowers in the garden still wet with dew, with fresh laundry out to dry in the wind. I would say that the staying power is great, but that the aldehydes dominate mostly then and leave little room for the other notes. This is, eventhough I still love it, why this perfume would not be my favourite.

Not for me. This is a cheap attempt to reproduce a classic ladylike vibe given by aldehydes. It's all the '70s lady perfume type from Chanel n.5 to Caleche done cheap, very cheap. It's a blast of aldehydes plus generic flower notes with a strong opening, not too bad. I don't like the drydown, because once the flamboyant opening is tamed what stays on my skin and paper is pure ladies' public toilets plus WC deo in "jasmin". It works exactly like vintage aldehydes worked on my skin 20 years ago, so I guess it's one you need to try on your skin before buying (a bargain anyway) because it has a lot to do with skin chemistry.

Vintage. Classy. Glamorous with that powdery touch. No smelling like girls candy floss and lollies here. I find the longevity is only moderate though, as is the siliage. However, spritz this beauty on someone elses skin and it may stick better and of course, smell slightly differently. I use this for the workplace. I like strong, powerful scents, this gives me what I love without being overbearing for those not accustomed to classic and non commercial scents. I just need to remember to bring this to work as it doesnt last the full work day on me. Possibly a dupe to the ever classic Chanel. NO.5

This was given to my mum as a gift but she doesn't wear this at all, so I gave it a try and I'd say it's an exact dupe of Chanel No.5. At first it smells like "money, rich, gold" in a vintage Hollywood type of way, but it quickly fades into a complete powdery scent. Like blue powder, fresh laundry, bar soap kind of way BUT not cute girly powder , it still has that grown rich woman vibe to It that makes It seem more expensive than It is. It sits very close to the skin and it doesn't last very long, but hey, it's very cheap and it's not bad. Good value for money, I think.

This is a beautiful Ylang-Ylang fragrance. I call it that, because Ylang seems to be at the heart of Gold Issime. It has a yellow blossom sweetness, yet nothing sugary. Orange flower, rose and jasmine are noticeable, but rather than taking over they make the Ylang shine. Creamy and slightly powdery, this is an easy going summery fragrance you can get at a great price. The aldehydes give it a splendid sparkle. It doesn't smell cheap at all, there's no sharpness, nothing plasticky or too synthetic. So, I judge this quite the safe blind buy.

It's sad to see so many dislikes to this fragrance ..I have tried it the other day and really liked it ..I don't like aldehydes that much but I think this is acceptable for me ..the sillage is weak and the longevity is moderate but it's a good choice to those who want to try aldhydes , but are rather scared ..The price is very good .

This was a gift. Starts out strong, perhaps a bit too strong. Very sweet smelling. The initial sillage was a bit too much for me. After an hour or so I would confidently wear it. Longevity is not all that good either, it lasts about 4 hours if you're lucky. My younger sister loved it.

Maybe old fashion, maybe grandma style, maybe pure vintage, maybe pure happiness but i love so much this thing. It's fresh, clean and powdery. It reminds me of noa and aida deodorant which was famous when i was a child.

Am I the only one that smells iris especially in top notes and a little later as well. It’s like a Chanel No.5 universe sometimes glitches into Prada Iris.

Flowery and powdery, pleasant but the lasting power is really bad.

I decided to try this even though it’s not the type of fragrance I would normally wear. I have the Divine Issime and I love it, and I was feeling adventurous. I’ve never smelled Chanel No 5 so I can’t speak to it smelling similar, but this smells like pure white light from the heavens bursting from the soul of a saint, painted on the ceiling of a church somewhere. I don’t think I’m pure enough for this.

So I blind bought this, saw a great price online, so decided to try it as many marked it to being a dupe of No.5. Hmmm not quite, I can see why people would think this , but after few minutes I feel creamy clean soapy notes reminiscent of Dove soap or Nivea, it’s nice, so happy with this blind buy.

Soap, old lady, I get nervous if she has peed herself a little bit, but i can almost smell her velvety soft skin. Maybe I will try layering this, but I have my hesitations. Not Chanel no 5, this is dryer and less have less of her georgous basenotes, and nothing of her elegant top sparks.

This is a lighter, not as harsh dupe for Chanel No. 5. Chanel No. 5 to me smells way too vintage and suffocating. I don't LOVE this scent. It's just ok. Still too aldehydic for me.

I was given this one as a gift when I was 10 or 11 and even back then I thought it was wayy too mature for me. It’s been 9 years and I still think it’s too mature. I have barely ever used it throughout the years, and I don’t know if I will ever use it regularly. It’s quite citrusy though, if you like fruity perfumes you might like this fragrance. 5/10

I had this bottle as a child, no idea where and who would get it because this is not a fragrance for a child. I loved the bottle and it looked very cool on my desk but the smell was horrible and still is. Smells like piss. I’m not a big fan of florals in general because they tend to give me a headache but this is something else. -2/5

This is a Vintage Fragrance and I get the notes of jasmine and powdery notes.I got compliments wearing this perfume and many told me that it smelled like john sons baby powder.I feel that this perfume gives you that clean,innocent,baby smell vibe.

it's chic, sexy, feminine, elegant, warm and vintage. Maybe you won't love it at the first smell but after a while, and after getting warm in your temples, it shows character! I love it, it's vintage, old school but also modern-old!

got it as a gift, aldehydes are very strong here, they almost block all other notes, but still can feel ylang-ylang with some orange flower...the scent only for those who like aldehydes

A lighter powdery version of 5. Its really beautiful and easier to wear when you just arent in the mood to deal with 5s big presence. A great buy!
