Lily Prune Cotton Musk

This reminds me of my teenage years. I don't know why,cause I never owned the bottle, maybe my friends wore it, who knows? But it doesn't matter as this still brings up good memories so why not own a bottle. It's musk all the way with some sweetness added (I assume that's vanilla) It something I would wore if I was 15 again in my mini jeans skirt walking around the highschool halls,being sweetly naive and in awe of everything around me.Definitely a keeper.

A friend was spraying it on herself and I said what's that its beautiful, and she said an old aunt gave it to me so its not that good, I said wow you don't know what your talking about its beautiful.

I'm not a huge fan of musky scents, but this is just delicious. I actually feel pretty when I spray this on me. Sadly mine is half way through. I'll buy the body splash, but it's not the same.

Lovely inoffensive musk scent. Quite sweet. Sillage and longevity are decent for it's price! Have used around 10 bottles over the past couple years, because it's so affordable and easy-going. In Holland it is sold at the occasional drugstore (Etos)- but only in some of their shops and it keeps getting harder to find. It can be found at the Ulric de Varens website, but they only deliver in France.. So I agree, please don't discontinue this pretty little scent!

I got this fragrance today when I was looking for an everyday, affordable fragrance that I could wear to uni in the colder months that are coming up. It's a clean, yet warm and slightly sweet, white musky scent.The best way I can describe it is that you took a shower and put on some cozy clothes.Love it.

I just received this fragrance. Honestly I had higher expectations for this one - instead of soft and feminine scent, I got strong unisex opening. After 20 mins, the sharpness of amber faded away and it settled into a pleasant musky scent. On me musk and vanilla prevail, I can't sense lilac at all. Nice, but nothing special. I am glad I didn't spent much money on this, got it for only 1 euro.diately Update: Today ma mom sprayed it and loved it immediately, so I gave it to her.

I'm not sure what Cotton Musk I'm reviewing here because there are many. I own a bottle of Miss Cotton Musk by Varens and I mostly don't know what to do with it. I should have known... I hate most cheap musk. This one is not too bad compared to other in the same category of candy musk, but I cannot wear it. It opens with a sweet smell of something... maybe candy floss and in a few minutes, while still wet it smells like Baby Shampoo Johnson, a typical shampoo note that you can find in many perfumes. It reminds me of ylang-ylang, too and close to Chloè Love. Then after drying it keeps the sweet note and a big synthetical musk makes its appearance and stay there forever. It's a little made by independent stages, not totally blended. It smells a little like fabric softener. A clean smell in the typical detergent way. Plus candy floss. It's not a nasty perfume, just not my like and if you like that kind it's a real bargain. Edit: oh, it's growing on me somehow. It's sweet and musky with a cosy effect. Casual but not cheap-smelling. Average lasting.

My bottle is a little bit different - what I mean by that is that i have Urlic de Varens text on the top of transparent cirlcle - not Lily prune. But I think that's the only difference and the perfume is the same - correct me if I'm wrong. It really reminds me of cosmetics that my grandma owns - some facial creams and powder. This perfumes are really similar to that scent. Unfortunately I can't find the lilac note in it. Cotton musk doesn't change at my skin at all, it remains the same. I like it but I can't find an occasion to wear it and wearing it as an everyday-scent doesn't fit me. I can't click "like" for this fragrance, I would rather choose neutral if that was an option. It was a blind buy so due to the price and quality (I can smell it on my skin for a long time) I am not disappointed.

This was the second 'real' perfume I owned, probably around age 17. A soft, sweet, warm, fluffy musk that always got compliments whenever I wore it. I tried to get my hands on another bottle in the mid-2000's, by which time it had been discontinued here. I kept my empty bottle for many years before parting with it, the scent still lingered on the nozzle. One sniff and those youthful memories came flooding back. Just recently I purchased a bottle from eBay Germany. It was worth the nightmare of using Google translate for everything (I don't speak German, she didn't speak English) and waiting more than 2 weeks for it to arrive. Oh my god, the smell takes me back to 2001 again, hello youth!

Does anyone know how you can order this overseas?!? i'm trying to get it shipped either to Chile or to the USA... (I'm working overseas right now) I'm like most of you, i wore this until i couldn't find it in the US anymore, then i bought it from overseas (I can't remember where, maybe England back when I was 18), and then the next time I tried to order it, it was gone. I haven't seen it since. But currently i'm in Santiago Chile, and I have smelled this exact scent twice now, i swear it's somewhere around here but i cant find any internet presence! i'm dying to find it again, nothing has ever topped it.

This is retro with a capital R! At first you smell like a 50s teeny bopper, then like a "nursing mother" and then you just smell "vintage"...it's a sweet "photo album" kind of scent with a seemingly "grungy" drydown (on my skin it almost smells "rotten"). If you grew up with this, then it's sentimental, if you didn't (like me) give it a miss...there are so many nicer scents out there!

This is widely available on PL websites for prices around 1,2 euro per 30ml tester bottle (yes! 1,2 euro per 30ml) It is a very soft musk, so close to skin that you cannot detect it. It reminds be of TBS White Musk and Jovan White Musk. Nothing special and the sillage/longevity is appalling. I can detect no vanilla, no lilac and no amber.

Very soft clean musk, get many compliments of these one! For the price it is very good! Not available in every store, I hope it wil be not discontinued! I love this one very much in the summer!

IT MIGHT BE THE REASON BEHIND ME LOVING MUSKY NOTES. I used it when i was at high school more than 10 years ago and i just loved the musky odor, it smelled really sophisticated.

I had this perfume when I was a teenager in high school, I loved it. It's sweet and musky, reminds me of being young. Wish it was still around :(
