Mini Sexy

I decided to grab a bottle of this after reading on here that it’s a clone for the original 1997 formulation of Lolita Lempicka, and after being disappointed by the tester I smelled of the 2020 LL at the mall. I am so glad I decided to give this and LL another shot...forgive me for being dramatic, but this fragrance is life changing. Now I know what “love” is on the rating system! Like others have reviewed on LL, it makes me feel (not just think of, but truly *feel*) that I am fairy princess in an enchanted forest filled with ivy and shadows. This is the one I’ve been searching for, it’s so perfectly balanced. It is playful and nostalgic, yet intriguing and mysterious. Versatile for every season and every situation. I have a new signature. Since I love this one so much, I decided to take the dive and buy a vintage bottle of the original LL on eBay, it’s hard to imagine anything being better than this one, so I am incredibly excited to receive it and see what all the buzz is about.

My daughter chose MiniSexy as her first perfume at 15 on her own - not so much because of the name I think, but rather beacuse of its affordability and pleasant scent. And she made the right choice! On her it is a deep, multi-layered coctail of sweetness with patchouli undertones, evoking chldish sweetness and a sort of more mature elegance at the same time. The outcome is really classy. Just by chance in a local self-service drugstore she apparently had found a fragrance that just fits her like a glove, it lasts really long on her and definitely fits her personality. She is now sixteen and she stays loyal for over a year now :-) It has become definitely her signature scent. Even though it can be easily bought literally with teenagers ́pocket money, it is not cheap. I remember that back in the old days in Europe (cca. 1980s) Ulric de Varens used to be a well known brand/name, for a reason I think :-) This is an unexpensive, but really decent perfume.

I was having a massive craving for LPRN / LL...and finally found a scent to satisfy my desires!! Quickly fell in love with this one: To my nose this smells 85% like Guerlain's 'La Petite Robe Noire Légère'! Currently my 2nd favourite from UdV. Definitely a stand out scent from their entire perfume range (as I was losing hope, most UdV scents are below expectations). The opening is so similar to the sour cherries in LPRNL, and blends well with the subtly powdery liquorice. The tonka is nutty, and the vanilla compliments it beautifully. Luckily I don't get much floral notes on my skin, and 'Mini Sexy' is less powdery than its Guerlain/ Lolita Lempicka sisters. On the 5th hour there's still cherry-like liquorice and sweet patchouli, vanilla, tonka on my skin. So feminine, sultry, classy, expensive-smelling with great silage too. I got this on sale for $1.60 (25ml), had to go back for another!

The first thing that came to mind when I first sprayed it was: "it's everything I like about Lolita Lempicka without everything that I dislike about it". I am a big fan of Eau de Minuit by Lolita Lempicka and I also have the 2010 version of the original and Mini Sexy reminds me more of Eau de Minuit. It's a very good dupe of the Lempicka vibe: the licorice, the violet-iris combo, the powdery coolness and the general sweetness with an edge to it, but Mini is sweeter and milder, the drydown especially, it turns more generic sweet scent. It lasts 6 to 8 hours on me. The sillage is very discreet too, so I don't have to worry about annoying people who hate licorice. What it lacks from the original are all the green notes and the cherry. It's more linear, more sugary, but I love it as an easy everyday grab without worrying of emptying my discontinued bottle of EdM.

My high school perfume! I bought bottles with my bestie when we were teenagers. This scent exited us so much! It's sweet but not sugary at all. The scent turns warm and seductive on your skin. The licorage and tonka bean are very noticable. The floral note ties those together and the patchouli adds some mistery. The quality is nice. It's not very complex but that's fine because it's well done. The bottle looks cheap but it's functional and the price is very low. I still get exited when I smell this scent!

low price for good quality perfume. The smell is sexy,musky but girly at the same time.Perfect for younger girls. I got it from my birthday from my mom a few years ago and it was love at firs smell I have to say that most of Ulric de Varens perfumes I had were really really good ,long lasting , beautiful smell and low price.

I have Lolita Lempicka and I have to say this is the same, I can not notice any difference about the smell. Both of them stay on my skin for about 2 hours maximum but on clothes it is the same staying power. A really great quality for the money.

Good longevity and sillage also despite the price its not the cheap vibe at all. Good blend and just fine. Surprisingly good. 7/10

Smells like the Lolita Lempicka. It's very long lasting on my skin and smells incredible, far from cheap! Love this!

Testing again in more detail, three sprays on each arm, medium warm spring day. Summary: A nice, airy, dry herbal/woody but fresh take on licorice. It works for me. Comforting but energizing. --- Starts off sweet-and-sour and very dry woody. It is really not very sweet, although there is a hint of sweetness beneath. As I said on my previous review, at the beginning there's an airy darkness, sour patchouli like the one from Angel and licorice/anise, but more on the plant/herbal side and less on the candy/cough drops side. This sour side is not as sharp as in Angel, but more "watery-transparent", for lack of a better word. Unfortunately, this "watery transparent" patchouli side does not last long (half an hour, maybe). I do get sweetness beneath, a boozy vanilla like in other Mini fragrances from UdV, but it's less prominent than in other fragrances. This is vaguely gourmand but doesn't make me crave food. As it dries, it loses projection and strength. It becomes a skin scent, an interesting woody powdery scent with a sour twist that no longer smells clearly of patchouli. Instead, it smells abstractly fresh, not fresh as a shower, but somewhere between herbal, camphor and mineral. There's a distinct transparency here, less herbal and less watery than on the beginning, but very pretty. Drying further, the violet comes through and interestingly I can smell the patchouli back, in waves (maybe my nose got tired of it and then recovered). The licorice is still the most prominent note and the one that projects the most, but the herbal, almost "minty", in the words of other reviewer, transparent side makes it less heavy than it sometimes is. Closer to skin the other notes are more detectable. My emotional impression is: comforted but energized, a little sensual and a little intellectual. Morning, open air, herbs, small warmth but with some breeze or wind. I feel like UdV fragrances are a hit and miss. This one is a hit for me.

I have never tested Lolita Lempicka so I cannot compare. This is my review of Mini Sexy by itself. One spray on the arm. (quick review for now, I intend to write a a better and more detailed review later) --- Reading the notes, I expected a sweet fragrance. In reality, it's oddly a fresh delicate sweetness with a dark twist. It does smell of anise and licorice, but more on the aromatic side and less on the sticky candy side. Occasionally, I catch a bit of the sour patchouli of Angel, though it flies away quickly. I checked Ulric de Varens site and the notes listed on the pyramid there seem to be wrong... I will trust the summary blurb instead which does list the same notes listed here. Upon drying, I start getting some powdery-ness that could be the violet another reviewer identified. Next test I will spray more than one spray.

I have a discontinued version of Lolita Lempicka, but I know I'll have a hard time finding another bottle. There's so many different versions of Lolita Lempicka out there with mixed reviews, so I thought it would be safer to try a cheap dupe. I decided to do a side by side comparison. It has the same cherry, ( I know it's not listed ) and licorice opening with a bit of violet. However Mini Sexy ( what a stupid name 😂 ) is sweeter and less complex, especially when it comes to the drydown. It does smell similar for a while. It doesn't last on my skin or my clothes but what can you expect? *At first I was on the fence about this, but now I appreciate it. I love LL but Mini Sexy is good for everyday use

I really like this perfume, but to me it's a little bit too floraly. I wish it was more vanilla type scent but it's much more floral, in my opinion. It is sexy and feminine, not as girly, so it's still a nice scent, although the bottle looks cheap and for the price it is what it is. But once you have it on for a while (after 20min or so) the scent gets even better, so I do recommend it. Just keep in mind that it's not a complex type of scent, if you're into those. Would repurchase! I give it a 6.5/10 Also - to me Lolita Lempicka smells better, so I don't really think it's a dupe or the same kind of smell, but to each their own!

EDIT: I have smelled Lolita Lempicka today and I can affirm this smells the same :) I think this scent smells very dark and mysterious. I love how the patchouli is used in its composition: it blends nicely with the liquorice and the tonka bean. The vanilla makes it quite sweet, I would say this is a very sophisticated gourmand for grown-ups. My mother said this smells like tobacco as well. However this is a discovery for me. It costs almost nothing and smells amazing. I have never tried Lolita Lempicka before, so I can't say if this is a dupe or not. I also think this is so witchy, goth and delicious at the same time.

An intriguing composition. At first, alcohol is most noticeable. Vanilla dominates, but a hint of licorice gives it a slightly edgy, toasted character. The fragrance becomes more spirited and distinctive as it develops. The name fits the scent perfectly. A small, playful bottle offering carefree joy, flirtation, and a touch of mini sexy! Longevity and sillage are very good, as is often the case with this brand. At its price point, it is a fragrance worth exploring purely for the fun of the experience. The bottle is charming and very enjoyable.

Interesting, anise-forward, and floral fragrance. Has an airy vibe too. Cute little bottle for your purse and just because it is cheap doesn't mean it's bad quality. I bought it since it is a dupe for the Lolita Lempicka and since I don't have anything similar to this in my collection. Also my fav one from the mini collection of UDV.

I have Lollita Lempicka (newer version) and got Mini Sexy to compare. The opening is very similar on both, but I prefer Lolita's dry down. On me, the longevity of Mini Sexy is moderate (around 6h) and Sillage is intimate (sits close to the skin). Not bad at all! A good dupe for a great price! 💜

Such a good little gem, easy to reach for and light to to the wallet. A bit underrated. Glad this still is production, this is probably my fourth bottle. The name is lame though.

Licorice and Violet are prominent notes of this frag. But when you overspray it, it is headache inducing IMHO.

I like the fragrance - a warm, sweet and airy licorice but it is so light, too light! On me it is like a body-spray, never being more than a skin scent, regardless how much I spray and last about 2h. Even when I had let it sit for a few months but can't say that the performance has improved. So if you are looking for a strong scent this won't be it. It is similar to Lolita as it is light as well but Lolitas fragrances at least last longer.

I use it a lot as a child/teen and then I stopped using it at all. I am pretty sure my last over bottle has gone bad now so I will be throwing it out now. I liked the smell but there were other ones of this line I liked a lot more.

I think this smells more like leather than licorice, and also I smell eucalyptus and cardamom somehow 🤔 Hmmm, this is interesting. We’ll see if it’ll grow on me or if i’m going to sell it.

It actually smells quite good, but gets annoying very fast.

This was my very first parfum, I was very young under 12 I think and I was wirded out, I diden't like the smell of it and I thought the titel was kind of strange. Thinking now, it was a inapropriat givt from a grown man to child (my god father). Still don't like it.

I got this one for Christmas some years ago but as a teenager I was immediately put off by its name. I guess I would not be so judgemental today. As far as I can remember, it was very sweet with a smell of vanilla I just could not tolerate.

Got this before trying Lolita Lempicka to gently test the waters of the licorice note. This is available in the US for $8!!! Now that I have LL (Le Parfum version, 2021), and I've gotten to know it a bit better, I have more thoughts on Mini Sexy as a dupe. It's not listed here, but per the Ulric de Varens site, there's bergamot in the opening. LL doesn't have this citrus hit on the opening, and the licorice/anise hits much harder on the opening for LL. The bergamot in Mini Sexy makes it feel candied (in a good way!), and it leans more gourmand than LL, which feels more woody despite the gourmand-y notes. I got this specifically to try the licorice note because it was worrying me about LL, and it's different enough that I was initially jarred by how STRONG the licorice/anise note is in LL. Their drydowns are comparable. LL is a tad richer with the cherry note. You've got to give it to Mini Sexy though, it definitely seems to capture an essence of LL. Maybe not as rich... but for 8 bucks who really cares?

I decided to repurchase this yesterday, on Halloween. I went through a bottle of it and still have half a bottle of the second one. So now I have a fresh one ready to go and I kinda feel a little bit at ease, lol. It was always in the back of my mind that I should buy again in case it goes missing from local drugstores, which this brand is known to do where I am. I always start thinking of this perfume around october and wear it in fall/winter. It's very nice but not among my ultimate faves yet something always draws me to it around this time. I like the way it makes me feel and the nostalgia it evokes because I've known this scent for so long. Lolita Lempicka strikes a weird fear in me with their reformulations and uglification of their bottles so I like to know I can still have that old familiar smell. There were 2 bottles left in the store hidden behind some others so it looked at first like they were sold out and I was like noOooOooO, give me what I came forrrr. Happy.

It starts out smelling like sour cherry and lime antibacterial wipes smell but it quickly softens into a more sherbet-y love hearts candy kind of smell. As it dries down it becomes more of a women's deodorant / baby powder / baby wipe smell. And finally hours later what remains is a sweet, vaguely floral musk. It does smell cheap in my opinion but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The same way deodorant or body spray doesn't smell like a luxurious masterpiece but it's still a pleasant smell. There's something addictive about it. How it's sour yet mellow. Like it's simultaneously juicy and dry. I think it makes a nice armpit perfume to bolster the effect of my deodorant.

I'll be another person in a row to confirm that it's the same scent as Lolita Lempicka. I know Lolita well and I actually have MS sprayed on my left wrist, and LL on my right. If any difference is there, it certainly doesn't show up on my skin. The packaging is basic, the name is tacky, but the bottle is sturdy and the sprayer is good. What's inside is certainly worth it if you're a fan of that Lempicka licorice. This IS Lolita for a fraction of the price. It's the same sort of goth enchanted purple fairytale forest vibe. I would say don't be fearful because of the low price.

It smells almost identical to Guerlain's La petite robe noire (which is often compare to Lolita Lempicka). I can see (smell) the similarities, they botj have a strong licorice opening. But Mini sexy has patchouli (not very strong, but still noticable) and it doest have the violet note. It's a really nice fragrance and it last longer than the 2023 version of LL. It is also very budget friendly! For me it was a blind buy and I'm really satisfied!

when i first tried Mini Sexy to compare it to Lolita Lempicka's magic apple i did not like it, but i can't lie it has this addictive quality to it. within my second wear i could already see myself going back to it. carries the same vibes as the Poison line by Dior although i don't think anything can top those poison apples. it's not bearable for the summer weather though so i will go back to it in the wintertime

good lord good heavens... it's like im in middle school again and smelling the og (it was the 2010 formulation for me) lolita lempicka for the first time... speechless... i dont care that the drydown becoming synthetic-like, i'm living for the first sniff and spray... farewell to my phony ass 2021 lolita lempicka mon premier & le premier... i won't miss any of you hoes

It is not bad at all, even if you would not expect it for its price. But a scent have to smell good, that ́s all, it does not matter, if for 300 € or 3,50. So, it smells fruity, reminds me of Nina Ricci L ́Elixier edp. It has a 30 minutes longevity and big silage. It is a bit too overwhelming and heavy for my taste, but how I said, not bad at all.

This is such a hidden gem and perfect LL dupe. I haven’t smelt LL in 6+ years but when I smelt this I immediately recogznied Lempicka. It’s mysterious, sexy, feminine and deep. I love it. I don't like the taste of licorice, but the smell of it is enchanting! The staying power and projection is decent. Worth the price (one of my cheapest perfumes).

Way too sweet for my taste. I got this from my boyfriend a couple of years ago, together with Mini Kiss. Though the Mini Kiss bottle is almost empty, the mini sexy bottle is still near full. It's just not my taste, all I can smell is the sweet overwhelming scent.

I purchased this on ebay and was severely disappointed. I don't think it was a dupe since it's such an inexpensive perfume in the first place but this smelled exactly like sweet powdery deodorant and nothing else. I got zero vanilla and zero anis. 0/10

These cost 3,5 Euro (about 5 Dollar) so don't expect them to be first class. But for that price this is a very acceptable dupe of Lolita Lempica. Sweet and a hint of licorice. More licorice than I can take... Definitely for teens and feel-alikes ;)

It's the perfect dupe for LL on paper and from the bottle, but unfortunately on my skin it turns.

For me, this one smells like lolita lempicka EDP, but of course doesnt stay for long...
