Rêve de Varens

Delightful, flirty, uplifting and so pleasing to the nose! This is my absolute favourite from UdV, a definite repurchase. My friends immediately asked what I was wearing once they had a sniff. 'Reve De Varens' smells like LVEB & Angel without all the deep, spicy, syrupy heavy notes. Instead it smells so clean and refreshing on my skin, suitable for warmer weather. I've worn it in very hot weather on dates and always had positive 'wow you smell incredible' comments. The beginning smells like a ripe, scrumptious fruit bowl containing plums, pears (hint of citrus) then develops into a candied, soapy patchouli and creamy sandalwood with a hint of fresh rose, powdery iris in between. I just love the dry-down to this. Very classy and a definite man-magnet (at least in my experience). Silage is brilliant the first hour and then drops down to arms length, skin scent. The longevity is brilliant on the clothes and hair! On my skin it's between 6-7 hours before its completely gone. For me this is a hidden gem in the UdV roster (and I regret purchasing most), it goes amazingly well with my skin chemistry. Can't rave about it enough. Looove the scent! It smells sweet, but I don't think it's that suffocating. It might be a little too heavy for summer, but I think it suits spring or fall much better. For example, my mother hates heavy perfumes and usually finds them very headache-inducing, but she didn't have a problem with this one. I'm not saying she loved it, but it didn't bother her either. And people around me really complimented it, too.

This is a candy sweet, pink fluffy cloud - light and pretty and pleasant. There is a tartness in the opening I didn't love but that is completely gone within minutes. I can see myself reaching for this a lot, just to kick around in. It's nothing that's going to blow your mind but for the price I think this will please most people who enjoy sugary-sweet scents.

This frag reminds me a lot to La Vie Est Belle - Lancome. The opening is just the same. I got received it as a birthday presents and it’s citrusy and super sweet, sickening sweet if you spray too much. It has great longevity, sprayed this to my clothes and it lasted 1-2 days.

Sweeeeet!!! Very sweet, much in the line of TM Angel but more fluffy and less powerful. Not my type at all, but not too bad. It could be a cheap choice for people who like it candy sweet with some floral notes.

Ew. I should've listened to people comparing this to LVEB (which I hate). It has the same dirty berry patchouli in it. I will definitely be giving this away. This patchouli smells like someone mixed it with cigarette ashes and berry jam. If it didn't have that patchouli nuance in it, i might have a neutral reaction to this at best. But alas, it is still there! Reve de Varens.. more like Nightmare de Varens :p

This stuff is sweet - like, really, really sweeeeet! I received it as a birthday present, so I was reluctant to give it away, but in the end I realised that I would never ever wear it and so I gave it to my 12-year-old niece. She likes it, says that it smells like bubblegum and cherries - 'nuff said.

Unfortunately, this is very generic. Not bad, but nothing new and it smells cheap. It is pleasant and Sillage is very good, but we all have smelled it thousand times before. It is pretty linear too. All i get are the fruity notes and maybe a very shy rose.

Sweet, affordable everyday fragrance. It reminds me of Angel by Mugler as well as Wish by Chopard. This one can be worn even in a hot summer day, unlike the other ones, because it's light. There's a lot of candy and caramel, yummy and fruity...

It's a sweet floral. Sweet and rosy. The drydown is very similar to Thierry Mugler Angel and it also reminds me of La vie est belle, although not an exact dupe.
