Satan Instinct

I had this gorgeous perfume in 1998 (I LOVE the name of this) and believe I used the whole bottle up because I don't have it anymore. Just now I have sourced a bottle of 'Wild Instinct' from cityperfume.com.au and I'm SO EXCITED to be receiving a bottle tomorrow. I too had no idea that this was aimed as a men's perfume because what I remember was an exotic, vanillic sexy perfume that was very 'pour femme" so, please, don't let that put you off if you are wanting a bottle. I also had 'So Chic' which I gave away but that was 15 years old and with all notes in tact and the same rich reddish colour juice that had not turned brown and off so it keeps very well. If you can find a bottle, I doubt you'd be disappointed. It really is a 'love potion' from memory! Not for the faint hearted! This stuff makes a big statement of ' I'm here and I'm smelling bloody divine' so look out boys! Footnote, on the bottle is 'dangerously sensual' and that's how I perceived it too! Okay, it's a day later from posting first part of this review and the postie just dropped off my perfume Well, OMG, I'm in 7th Heaven with my perfume applied. It's not quite as 'heavy' as I recall it to have been (it IS an EdT) but reasonable performance for a toilette. I'm picking up some peach and musk and vanilla. This could very easily be an everyday fragrance. It would attract compliments in every situation, including the office if worn lightly. I throughly recommend this to all women. I would not class it at all as 'unisex' although more and more men are wearing anything and everything which I don't mind at all! Please remember this review is for Wild Instinct, ( 'version' of Satan Instinct ) both by Un Monde Nouveau. * Had to add this from the box, Warning; may result in total loss of control!!! A hot-blooded mixture; ambergris, musk, vanilla, sandalwood and coumarin.

I bought a vintage of this from City Perfumes, Australia a couple of years ago. I remember the Un Monde Nouveau range being available in Target over the 90s for $50 AUD a bottle and I had Midnight Star, which, though simple in composition, had this amazing quality that evoked night skies in the summer. I was longing for it and bought Satan’s Instinct when I got the chance, hankering for a revisit to the 90s. Wonderful composition: so warm, vanillic, aromatic and with strong sillage and good performance. Absolutely unisex. This layers incredibly well with Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco but of course I have to be very careful about using it as I will not be able to buy another bottle, sadly. I really wish I knew of something similar to this. I just searched and saw that City Perfume still has it for sale but it’s increased to $210 now. I’ll think about it... Un Monde Nouveau was a lovely range, quite cheap but funny and quirky and novel and I miss them so much. How I wish they would bring them back into production once again.

I bought this beauty late 90's very cheap in a beauty shop in Athens Greece. Spicy vanilla and i can smell some sort of bitter citrus even if its not listed. Bergamot? Kumquat? I cant tell. And then strong sandalwood...It was phenomenal then regarding performance and sillage. Sprayed her today after keeping her for 30 years in a cool dark place. Still phenomenal.... I can't believe it.

I'm suprised to how people doesn't know this beauty. I smelled once and it was love at first sniff for me. It is not what its name tells about indeed. It is musky, creamy winter delight!

I loved and i had this one at 90`s, and i did not even know this one was actually fore male... I want it again!

We were three young girls sharing a flat in Turku, Finland in the 90's. This is what we wore when we went out, sharing not only our apartment but this bottle too. It smelled intoxicating and the boys thought so as well! Such wonderful memories from when everything was new and every day an adventure. I would love to have this in my collection. I would want to spray it from time to time, close my eyes and... just remember.

Ups, what a name of a perfume?? But, I have a black T-shirt with kinda "Satans" red "face" on, and the text under the red face is: God is buzy, can I help you? It amused me when I was younger to wear the T-shirt, in fact I could have worn it today, but no, it's up for sale. Nevermind, the ingridients of Satan Instinct is interesting, because I have this new crush for vanilla scents :D

My sister had this at 90's. We didn't know that this was aimed for men. The smell was just for my sisters liking. Strong, intense, balsamic and vanillic. I could't use it because it was suffocating me.

This was marketed as unisex in my country and I thought this smelled definitely more female. Such a beautiful creamy warm vanilla. I'd definitely repurchase if I could.
