Estrella de la Manana

I’ve reviewed this before, but have updated my review as when I initially smelt this, my nose interpreted the birch as leather. Now I can smell the notes for what they are. "Estrella de la Mañana | Une Nuit Nomade", which apparently means Morning Star, opens with a gorgeous burst of creamy, rich cocoa and vanilla. I absolutely love the opening! The cocoa here is just to die for! It’s so addictive, cosy, creamy and comforting. As the scent dries down, the smokey birch appears and mixes with the cocoa. This combo continues throughout the remainder of the wear. I do get moments where the cocoa comes through stronger. I personally find this is a comforting bedtime scent, but it would be ideal for cold autumn/winters. The vibe I get from this is ultimately comfort. You’re relaxing in front of a campfire, wrapped in a blanket and enjoying a warm cup of creamy, hot chocolate with someone you love. It kind of reminds me of cocoa nibs. I have sampled so many chocolate and cocoa scents, but it’s very hard to find this note done well in a fragrance. For me was an instant love when I first smelt it around two years ago. Every time I’ve smelt this since then, my thoughts have remained unchanged. I’ve finally added this to my collection. Whether you love or hate it, "Estrella de la Mañana | Une Nuit Nomade" is truly a unique masterpiece that nothing compares to. Just to add "Vanille Havane (Eau de Parfum) | Les Indémodables" is another incredible fragrance that I also love and own, While the chocolate/cocoa note is also done incredibly well in that scent, it’s a boozy chocolate and still very different from "Estrella de la Mañana | Une Nuit Nomade". "Le Lion de Chanel | Chanel" isn't similar at all.

So I completely forgot I wrote about this before. You can decide if that means anything. Upon spraying again, it's exactly what I said before. It smells like camping at Lake Tahoe while roasting marshmallows. If you like that sort of thing, this is the perfect fragrance for you. I'm not sure if I will enjoy this throughout the day. I wish it would go in either one direction or another. I do enjoy smoke in my fragrances, but more so aromatic or woody styles. I think I just need to get used to it because I can tell it's a quality fragrance. In my opinion, it does lean masculine and there's nothing wrong with that. Imagine comparing it to a fragrance from kayali. I don't have anything from them, but I can only imagine how feminine they really are. Just looking at their bottles makes me want to throw up rainbows and eyeshadow palettes. When you can compare that brand to this fragrance, you can certainly see how this could be masculine. I think a great fragrance can go both ways and this one does that. After about 30 minutes, the marshmallow tendencies go away. Now it is mostly a smoky fragrance with a bit of sweet undertones. I think this would be much better suited for autumn and winter. If it is too hot, this would become unbearable. But I imagine sitting by the fireplace in the middle of winter. This fragrance would shine and will make for a pleasurable experience. It's not what I was expecting, but excellent for what it is. If you want something sweeter, I recommend their new almond fragrance. That one is incredible as well. I'm looking forward to what comes next because this particular line I feel is significantly better than the other signature line.

Incredible creation. Stunning opening. It revealed a smoky fragrance, subtle for a few seconds, followed by the smell of a delicious chocolatey note and a faint green leaf note. The smoky note was increasing its power giving a darker but exclusive vibe to the experience. The chocolatey note started to settle and a wood note appeared. A fragrant soft but creamy burnt wood smell rose from my skin rounded by the Cacao note (it had a peculiar smell to it). It was not campfire or bonfire... that would be Terroni from Orto Parisi which is more raw and aggressive. This smelled like a small wooden stick you briefly set on fire, blew out and now smell closely: warm, fragrant, darkened at the end and a gentle dance of grey smoke rising upwards with the wind. It does not smell like leather to me. It is very woody-smoky, has a dark bite, softly balsamic at the heart and addictive in a way I never experienced before. Sometimes, the smoke note became thinner and I perceived the faint scent of the green leaf once again. Once the composition rounds out, its creaminess leaves me without saying goodbye and instead I am left behind with the whisper of a dark, romantic, sensual, balsamic profile and the subtle note of dry, delicate wood shavings. Longevity 8/10 Sillage 8/10 Cool seasons Nighttime Do not blind buy!!! This is not a gourmand edible perfume. Wood-smoky/Leather-Smoky are dark profile fragrances. Get the discovery set and try before buying. Do not apply perfume on your clothes. Is difficult to remove this kind of perfumes. :)

If you want to blind buy this beauty and you have doubts because of the so-called leathery vibe to it, don’t listen to those comments. To my nose and on my skin, there is no leather note 🤷🏻♀️ It is a cocoa and smoke dominant scent to my nose. I smell the birch tree instead of leather. Someone said this is the “East” in a bottle (but that was a negative comment). I agree in a positive way. This will appeal to those who like Eastern vibes in perfumes. So, if you hate that, do not blind buy this. I mean, this is Cleopatra, Nefertiti, or maybe a Middle-Eastern or African goddess 👑 “Clean girl aesthetics” and “not a perfume” obsessed people should definitely keep away from this. (It’s mine! 😂) Guys, this is love at first sniff. If I were a perfume, I would be this one. I adore the bottle, artwork, name, notes, blend, scent, everything about this perfume! I guess this will be my signature scent. I feel that I will reach for this bottle everyday although I have other 56 perfumes. And I don’t think I will wait for the fall and winter to arrive to use it. This is absolutely usable in summer time and hot weather and daytime! And it is not masculine leaning. Maybe unisex. Edit: After the rising temperature, I changed my mind about the seasons in which you can use this perfume. Not suitable for temperatures above 25 Centigrade degrees.

"Estrella de la Mañana" from Une Nuit Nomade is a truly unisex fragrance. I let my boyfriend try it, and while the opening felt a little too sweet and feminine for his taste, it transformed beautifully as it developed. After a while, the birch came through, giving it the feeling of a fresh forest touched by wisps of smoke. It reminded me of a late summer or autumn morning : cozy, calm, and quietly comforting. He ended up loving it and couldn't stop smelling his shirt throughout the day. Even hours later, the fragrance was still present. It wasn't loud or overpowering anymore, but soft, intimate, and incredibly pleasant. To me, this is a fragrance that works year-round because it never feels too heavy or overwhelming. I naturally gravitate toward smoky, woody scents, so I could easily see this becoming a signature fragrance. It's distinctive without trying too hard, definitely not something you smell on everyone. I think it would smell beautiful on both men and women, although to my nose it leans slightly more masculine once it settles. It's a fragrance with real character, one that keeps evolving and reveals different facets over time. A perfume that asks a little patience before it reveals it's real scent.

As the scent dries down I get a strong leather which dominates the scent, while the cocoa is very much in the background. Had it stayed as a cocoa & vanilla, even with just a hint of leather, I’d have purchased a full bottle instantly! If it had been available as a 30ml, I would also have bought it. I’m just not a leather fan, and while it isn’t listed as one of the notes I definitely smell it. This scent to me is exactly as though I am wearing a new leather jacket and drinking a hot cup of sugary cocoa. It actually reminds me of my favourite uncle who smoked and always wore a leather jacket. It’s a comforting scent for me. I do really love this fragrance and find it almost quite addictive for that reason, but the strength of leather i pick up on puts me off wanting to wear it personally. If you’re a female and enjoy leather scents, this really is gorgeous.

I had to come back and let you guys know. I always forget that when you are wearing an extract it takes a lot longer for a fragrance to develop and to change. I believe I am four hours in and I am now experiencing much more of the vanilla. Or more likely the benzoin. This is a different sweetness than it was in the beginning. The beginning has more of a marshmallow smell. Right now is much more resinous and vanilla-wood. I think vanille 44. Not exactly but in that area. Those are my favorite kinds. Vanilla incense. Vanilla wood and everything else that is in the wheel. The smoke that was there in the beginning is much more in the background now. And the fragrance as a whole is still very strong. Just keep in mind it's $310 for 100 mL. Not too bad for an extract, but still very expensive. I regret paying $600 for guidance extract. I think I would rather have this or tonka hysteria. Overall I do recommend this fragrance. It's one of the best that has come out within the past couple of years.

It's a Masterpiece in a bottle. I love it . My favorite Niche house is Une Nuit Nomad. It was a blind buy for me and when I receive it I was like omg I'm addicted . This house has so many to choose from and each one is quality and longevity and very good price for the unique style and the material that they use . You can smell the quality and just by one sniff it takes you in many places . As you know Un Nuit Nomad each perfume has a story and it's incredible the effort that they put to bring each perfume to perfection .I think many people should get to know this brand Un Nuit Nomad you pay for quality and uniqness they don't copy other Niche fragrance they are standing out of many many other brands . I'm not payed to say this I'm just giving you my honest opinion and I think you should search yourself and you find out that I was right . Amazing . At first sniff, I wasn’t into Estrella de la Manana, (I liked more « Chemin d’amande » instead, this one was on my wishlist instantly). But still I want test it on skin for this winter. I like the brand so much and I want to test it properly. Now I wore it for many weeks. On my skin the dark smoky cacao is more strong and rich than on paper (always test in skin that kind of resinous profil, it develops a lot). In cold times this fragrance is beautiful, elegant, warm, bold, resinous. Clearly now I am in loveeeee. Since last year I wore more resinous smoky perfumes and « Estrella de la manana » is a beauty. Clearly on my wishlist. Edit: I bought it for my birthday in march. It is now for me, the most love perfume in this beginning of the year. I am very pleased to add Estrella de la Manana to my collection.

If the idea of a dark smoky vanilla without being sweet sounds appealing this is the ticket; this isn’t gourmand and isn’t for people who think By The Fireplace is too smoky. This is brooding and heavy. The open is thick smoky birch tar and vanilla with an interesting fruitiness like you get from a good dark chocolate. It is more or less what I thought it would be from the notes, but maybe slightly more bite from the birch tar than I expected (and I have a fairly high tolerance to smoke in fragrance). If you are sensitive to smoke steer clear. The combination also gives a leather like accord impression. The dry down is a bit salty smoke with benzoin and cocoa. Definitely niche and not going to appeal to everyone, but I am adding this to the best vanillas I have ever smelled along with Van Py Rhum.

I wasn't going to write anything yet. I was scrolling down and someone said this smells like Royal Tobacco. Are you freaking kidding me?! Now I decided to write to you just to tell you how wrong that person is. L O L this smells nothing like Royal Tobacco! What are they even talking about. That's pretty much all I have to say at this point. This one opens up very smoky. Almost identical to a campfire while roasting marshmallows. After about 10 minutes the complexity starts. That's where I am right now. I will come back if I have more to say, but that one comment blew my mind. Just wanted to let you guys know in case you were wondering.

Estrella de la Mañana is a rich, sweet, cozy, vanilla blended with warm, spicy unsweetened cacao. Feels bold without being too sweet or smelling like a snack. You can taste a leathery smell that comes from dry woody, earthy birch. Love the fact that after a while becomes powdery on my skin and smells like I was wearing a rich vanilla body butter sprinkled with cacao powder. Mature cacao and vanilla blend perfect for the winter and absolutely unisex with amazing performance. Estrella de la Mañana is a must have for those that love sweet fragrances with balanced sweetness and not smelling like a dessert.

This is a dark, complex, resinous, smoky masterpiece. Not for the faint hearted and not blind buy safe. The opening is very chocolatey (dark chocolate) and smokey but the vanilla and resinous notes prevents it from being over smokey and reduces the darkness of the perfume. The softer dry down which reminds me of Le Lion from Chanel (one of my all time favorites), but denser, is very addictive and 2 sprays will go a long way as this is a beast mode perfume. Happy to have added this beautiful creation to my collection.

It seems there is nothing that hasn't been thought through in this fragrance. It's potent, luscious and masculine-leaning. I have to agree with the previous comments, it does have that deliciously dark note of tobacco. It takes a certain kind of character to wear this. It took me some time to realize that, to my surprise, the scent reminds me of Lithuanian candies in a lovely silvery sky blue wrapper called “Kregždutė” (Swallow). And, just like in the case of sweets, moderation is best. Even in the dead of winter.

This does not smell like Serge Lutens Ecrin de Fumee. It has more similarities to Amouage Royal Tobacco. All of these are excellent Estrella de la Manana is more dry than Ecrin de Fumee and less Gourmand. More dry Woody. Closer to Royal Tobacco by Amouage. Aspects of Royal Tobacco. Some aspects. Really good. I shall give it a full wear from my sample.. Also, this has a rich pipe Tobacco note here. Really good. Although no Tobacco is listed as a note.

This blew me away! How so that there is no tobacco note? This smells like my favorite cigarette as a non-smoker. Toscanello with vanilla, I always know when someone around lights it up 🕯️🌙 This is so different, it is smoky, deep, sweet, resinous. I get tobacco cacao vanilla, resin and some burnt wood. AW must have, total unisex, sultry and not trying too hard association: softest leather gloves, cigar, hot cacao and whiskey on a wooden table

Smoky cocoa, dry and sweet at the same time. Strong but pleasant. Benzoin comes in and slowly softens the fragrance into something warmer and more enveloping. The name fits well, it feels like a faint light emerging through the darkness as it warms up. I usually reach for it at night or when I’m in the mood for something a bit deeper and more grounded.

This is absolutely stunning. It open with a strong boozy cacao note, then the birch note comes out and stays throughout the whole time. It becomes more of a cocoa powder that’s sprinkled on wood. I love it!! Total unisex but would smell absolute gorgeous on a man! Projection and lasting power beast mode!

I love this one so much. I do not get tobacco or leather as others are claiming, but it is really smoky. The burnt smell is really strong, and the vanilla stands up to it as strong. Those two together are a lovely combination. I picked this up at Jovoy and have worn it a lot this winter, simply amazing.

A sort of rough, leathery take on the fireplace scent concept. I still prefer Winter of '99 and Praline in Maple over this, but I appreciate it. It is very well refined, bold, and warmer than the aforementioned scents. I could definitely see this on a more mature person.

This is a work of art. For the coffee notes lovers, this is a blind but. Rich, elegant, mysterious. A masterpiece, masterfully crafted. Unfortunately I'm not into coffee notes so I'll pass, but I can see the quality and appreciate it. Definitely try it

This is a heavy smoke - from A to Z - perfume. I agree that it's unusual and even beautiful in its own way - just try it before you buy. Glamorous bottle contains a liquid that can make people around you disappear. So test it first! With caution.

I'm getting Amouage Interlude Man notes in this fragrance. I guess it's because of the announced birch, but it's very vocal and I like this type of accord. This profile pops up after the first 20-30 minutes though. It's a new-found gem for me.

This have a ton of ambergris and not a single person have mention it. To me smells like a starfish chocolate 🍫 bar lol. This is weird in every shape smell or form I like it 🥰

I bought this yesterday at the ScentXplore event in NYC. It was, in my opinion, the BEST in show. Very mysterious and enchanting.

Beautiful but waaaay too smoky for me to wear. I could still detect this on my skin 24 hours later so it is a commitment.

Simply is beautiful if you are in the dark perfumery. cocoa is delicious and mixed very well with other notes.

Estrella is a great scent for cold weather. It feels dark and mysterious. To my nose, the cocoa is the main player here. I do not get leather or heavy smoke, but rather a cocoa powder that is lying on lightly burning birch. However, the cocoa smell dwindles as perfume dries down. It is definitely in the same category as Amouage Royal Tobacco (which I love and ware as a woman), but they are not clones. I would say that they are cousins with similar vibe. Instead of tobacco, Estrella has cocoa and lacks the licorice-fenugreek aromatic aspect, but the vibes are the same, yeah. If you love Royal Tobacco, then there is a very strong chance that you will like this as well, and if you did not like the fenugreek aromatic component of Royal Tobacco, then perhaps this can become a great cocoa based alternative. To me this is unisex leaning slightly musculine and I can see how people who like light or really feminine perfumes will not like this, therefore I do not think that this is a safe blind buy, but if you are familiar with Amouage Royal Tobacco then you get the main gist of Estrella.

Is this a gourmand or something darker? Every time I smell this, I keep trying to place it, without really landing anywhere. La Estrella de la manana opens on a very dry, almost bitter, cocoa, more like raw powder than anything sweet or edible. Then a smoky note quickly comes through, reminding me of some burnt wood or charcoal. As it develops, that contrast becomes more pronounced. The cocoa stays present but turns darker, slightly rough and even leathery at times. It does have a hint of vanilla underneath but it doesn’t really soften the fragrance though it gives it a little bit of roundness. The evolution is quite slow and stays in that same register, hovering between something warm and something quite austere. It can feel a bit intense depending on the skin. Got a few surprised reactions wearing this one, mostly a kind of shared curiosity. Not the easiest fragrance, but definitely one that leaves an impression.

A very dark, intense and long-lasting perfume. It reminds me a lot of Christmas time in the Czech Republic, burning these charcoal incense cones called "František". Lovely for the cold weather and also 100% unisex as there isn't enough sweetness to call it feminine leaning, only a faint hint of it in the drydown - sort of smells like spiced plums. I would definitely advise to try and sample first, if you can, as it might not be suitable for everyone because of its dominant smoky / woody qualities. A very interesting and unique scent, for sure, very festive.

I got it today; I was surprised by how potent and smokey it is. I need to test it for a couple of days; this is not for everyone. The leather smokey cacao here is very sticky. Two to three sprays for cold weather might be great. It's not good for Office scent. After 1 week of use. I'm trying to appreciate the birch and smoky scents but sometimes I don't feel it, I don't get the vibes. So I layered it with my TF Black Orchid which it has Chocolate n soft Vanilla to lessen the birch scent of EDM.

Smells like opening a new box of expensive chocolates, then it morphs into an extremely refined toasted almond and dark vanilla... even though almond isn’t listed, that’s what it smelled like to me, toasted almond. The birch adds a crisp slightly green unique touch and keeps the fragrance unisex and not gourmand. This definitely smells refined and crisp, like enjoying the fanciest box of gourmet bonbons after a luxurious shower in a 5 star cozy tree house retreat.

This reminds me of a smoother and toned down version of Red Tobacco by Mancera with added rich dark chocolate. This is one that I will recommend for people to get their nose on because I believe that it will suit a lot of fragrance enthusiasts. However, it is not for everyone.This is far from a casual scent, you have to be DRESSED for this.

Interesting fragrance in my collection. It opens with a dry cocoa powder note, then settles into a smoky, campfire like warmth with a hint of sweetness. The profile is similar to Boccanera by Orto Parisi and Choco Raptor by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, but I prefer this one over both. Perfect for winter with excellent longevity.

The opening is all smoke and leather on my skin. As this develops the cacao and vanilla start to come through. It’s like sitting next to a fireplace while wearing a leather jacket. Once the fire dies down you eat a piece of dark chocolate that’s been unwrapped and has absorbed the smoke. I wouldn’t want to wear it or smell it on my spouse. It almost makes me think of a candle. This must use Birch Tar instead of birch. I don’t mind birch in many scents but I’m not enjoying the leathery tar in this.

Sooo, up close this smells like a very tarry piece of wood burning or maybe even a tyre burning on a bonfire, full of benzene and ring hydrocarbons. But at arms length I get a most incredibly rich hot melted chocolate/marzipan scent like I've walked into a chocolate factory. There is absolutely no point at which the two different smells blend, it's either hot chocolate at a distance or burning tarry wood close up, it's so bizarre.

Initially it smells like expensive cigarettes, or even cigars, like wet tobacco with a pleasant, mature, royal, non-gourmand vanilla. Or the smell of these expensive cigars with a brown leather jacket on, brown leather sofa. Sometimes I get more cacao, sometimes tabacco, sometimes the cozy vanilla, but the leather is persistent always, which makes it leaning more masculine. I think layered with Une Nuit Nomade Chemin D'Amande makes it better (at least what I thought in the beginning) I also tried to mix it with cacao & hazelnut body mist, but no, wearing this scent for me it's disturbing. It smells good in the beginning, then it smells just like burned wood with burned fake leather, not like in "By the fireplace", more of an intoxicating-irritating smell. In my head this scent was amazing, but sadly somehow it doesn't work the way I wanted. Wearing it it's not very pleasant

After the band-aid smell goes away (which is pretty quick) this became something I had smelled before and I could not put my finger on it. After smelling and smelling...incense smoke from mass, particularly Christmas mass. The incense smoke penetrates my hair and I can smell it even after leaving the church. This is smoky but not burnt smoke with some leather. Incense is main character here for me. I get sweetness from a pipe tobacco smell. The dry cocoa note is there but does not last long. Perhaps this could be layered with a favorite amber, vanilla ect perfume you already have. This leans masculine in my opinion and for cold weather. I'm going to give it a few more tries layered with other fragrances I already have but as of now it is not my cup of tea. If you like strong incense fragrances this might be a love for you. TEST first if you can!

I like leather fragrances, but I really hoped that leather (although not listed) would not be the main character in this case, at least on my skin, mainly because I already have several such scents and I don't want another one. Plus, the cacao note is more like the faint smell of a plain hot chocolate cup (not a hot chocolate with spices or whatever extra flavor), while you feel an increasing smoke, somewhere near a fir-tree forest (it is rather fir-tree wood that my nose detects). Performance is otherworldly, but I really didn't want it to be so. Not in this case, at least. If you like this kind of smokiness plus leather, don't have such a scent and feel ready to bear it with your nose for 14+ hours, try it. I can't deny the quality of the manufacturing. I wish many of my fragrances had been so well done.

This one is simply not for me. It opens with a touch of cocoa, but on my skin it fades quickly and never becomes the dominant note. Instead, the fragrance is overwhelmingly smoky, resinous, and leathery so much so that it almost makes me cough. It doesn’t fit my personal scent profile at all. If you enjoy bold smoky leather fragrances, you might appreciate it, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying this one blind. I can absolutely appreciate how well-crafted it is, from the quality of the composition to the presentation, but it just doesn’t fit my personal scent profile. Living in a very tropical climate also makes it even harder for me to wear. If you enjoy bold smoky leather fragrances, you might appreciate it, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying this one blind.

This perfume smells like if you grab a bar o chocolate and put it on top of fire pit, the chocolate fades but that smoky smell is the main character. This reminds me of when I was little and my grandma hung clean clothes outside to dry in PR, and the neighbor just to bother would start a fire burning leaves and all the clothes would get all the smoke. On paper the chocolate is prominent but on my skin is pure smokiness.

Burnt leather with cocoa powder.. not bad not the best. Leans masculine, cocoa note is gone within the hour. Will test further, first impression. It reminds me of the smell of grandpas vintage leather jacket.. there’s a vintage perfume nuance to this in the dry down I don’t care for Edit: I wore it today and I actually don’t like this at all.. it’s a pungent sweet leather with powder dust.

Dominant and intense smoky birch leather, loads of coco powder, slight sandy vanilla amber. This one is simply too much smoke for my tastes. It’s an endless bonfire which drowns out all the nice elements. I love leather but I can’t wear this, only if the smoke was dialed back by about 50%.

I thought this would have some softness to it from the vanilla but for me, but it comes off as tabacco and leather only to me. It's very intense and long lasting with a moderate sillage. Sadly, not for me but if people are into these dark, intense scents for winter this might be for you.

After the initial spray I was immediately transported back to 2004 to a souk in Tunisia. Not wearable for me.

Don't let the notes fool you. This is straight up leather. Big no no for me
