Spicy Road

I love it. Excellent blending of warm spices, vanilla, woods, musk. I have and adore Vinegia 21 and Side Effect and find Spicy Road more similar to those than Spicebomb or Rehab. For me, this is a fall and winter perfume. I really like the new graphic design of the labels...definitely more artistic and resonates with the brand better.

I think Un Nuit Nomade may be my new favourite house. I love this - woody, peppery, vanilla-y. It verges slightly into smoky territory on me, but I’m not annoyed. Reminds me a bit of Jazz Club. Performance is great. I’m considering a full bottle.

Reminds me of Hemingway 1899, Spice Bomb so if you like those you most likely will like this one too. Nicely blended spices, cozy, quality fragrance. To me, it leans more masculine, would love it on my man.

Moderately spicy fresh and woody. Drydown is beautiful.

Spicy Road opens spicy and nice, but like many other haunted roads in the current perfumery world, leads to the non-yielding, screechy, scrub-worthy hollowness of Akigalawood in under an hour, that no amount of other woods can subvert... All seasons, all occasions, only condition to wear is you're sure you'll be taking a shower no later than 45 minutes after you embark on this "Spicy Road"...

Not instantly charming, unlike others from the house which makes it kind of stand out. A lot of dry spices, clove and incense over warm woods. It starts quite dry then softens into a comforting smoky vanilla, becoming much more enjoyable after about an hour when it reaches a bit more balance.

Despite Une Nuit Nomade being one of my favourite brands, I'm sad to say I don't like this. I don't hate it, but it has something aromatic, spicy and an underlying note of BO that keeps popping through. I think it might be the oud, which is skanky, unless there's a cumin note not listed. There's also a kind of chlorine smell to it, which perhaps maybe a saffron note. Unisex leaning masculine. I really wanted to love this! But I just can't. Sorry, UNN, this one is a flop. 😥

Funnily enough, that's one of my favs from Une Nuit Nomade. It's simple, both fresh and smoky. The vanilla in the dry down is beautiful. As to the pepper note, it's the star of the show. It's a green one which makes it a little herbaceous and less spicy than many fragrances with pepper notes. I'd say it's unisex leaning slightly masculine but I'm into it. Just got myself a 50ml since I had nothing comparable in my collection.

This is the 32nd new release with both Akigalawood and Georgywood. It all started with Blue Talisman and it doesn't look like this train is ever stopping.
