Sun Bleached

After my initial spray when the solvent dissipated and the fresh, musked, and slightly warm spice notes came out, my first thought was “I recognize this”. I could not put my finger on it, so I just closed my eyes and kept sniffing. I was suddenly transported to the washing room in father’s bayside house and then it hit me: this smells like vintage Barbasol shaving cream foam! And that’s not an insult. There is a reason Barbasol has lasted through the ages. When I was little I used to always sneak a spray of my father’s Barbasol on my hand because I loved the fresh but spiced smell and the soft cream on my skin. My father is sadly no longer here, so this scent experience was personally a welcome one. Sun Bleached is absolutely unisex — it is fresh, musky and spiced with a soft and creamy version in the dry down — but I think it would be charmingly fresh on a man. If a man wore this and walked by me I would for sure turn my head, obviously because of my personal association, but also because of the practical, clean but pleasantly spiced vintage nod of the fragrance.

This one has grown on me, after initially finding it a bit dull, I'm now enjoying how comforting and stress relieving it can be and reaching for it more often than I'd expected to! I love clean scents in general, and am always a sucker for a good laundry scent, and this one is really well done - a pile of clean laundry dried by the sun, exactly as the name describes. I probably wouldn't upgrade to a full size after finishing my 25 ml, as it doesn't beat Byredo's Blanche as my all time favorite clean scent, but - I'll enjoy the remainder of time with the travel size and see whether my feelings for it become deeper. I love the aldehydes in Blanche and love the musky-powderiness of Sun Bleached. For now, a really enjoyable, easy to wear, great for everyday choice. Performance is moderate.

opening: powdery, warm soap. actually, a wonderful choice of name. idk if there’s actually soap in this or if my nose is playing games, but i smell a dove soap bar. and it’s fleeting, not overwhelming. i would say the scent is quite simple; it doesn’t change much throughout the wear. when i first smelled it, i thought there was something wrong with it; something in it made me feel sick. it’s not there anymore, though, and it has grown on me quite a bit. i would expect CdG to make something like this; i didn’t expect it from une nuit nomade. the most disappointing thing about this is the performance. it doesn’t last long. it does project surprisingly well for the duration of the wear, but it doesn’t last that long to begin with.

Often times, most fragrance houses offer a dumb-reach in their lineup. Sun Bleached is Un Nuit’s interpretation of an easy to wear/every day fragrance. Clean and smooth but intriguing at the same time. I usually don’t care for easy to wear scents, but Sun Bleached has persuaded me into getting a full bottle. I would pair this with a more daring outfit to counter the subtlety of the aroma. If you like musky fragrances, give this chance; this gives off a multi musk experience with hints of creamy floral tones from the sandalwood and white flowers. Spring mornings in a bottle.

This is very nice! It definitely smells reminiscent of freshly laundered linen that you just brought in after hang drying it in the sun. Solar musks and cotton accord are the main impressions. Clean, fresh, mass appealing. It’s quite airy and consequently really sings in the warmer months, but there are light vanillic/ambery facets in the drydown that make it applicable for any season. I wish it projected a little more, it sticks very close to the skin after the first 30 minutes or so. Lasts as a skin scent for most of the day, however!

One of my favorite “clean” scents. Sun Bleached smells less like fresh laundry in the sun to me and more like a you’re just out of the bath and taking meandering stroll through a garden of heady white florals. Either way, it’s definitely a great out of the shower scent for when I just want to feel fresh and clean. I love how it performs in the warmer weather, it never comes across as too overpowering or laundry-like to me. Great longevity for me, moderate sillage.

How interesting... This is a transportive fragrance for me and it reminds me of a summer cottage. It’s hard to describe, but it’s unlike anything I’ve smelled before in this genre of fragrances. There is familiarity here, but there’s something unique about this one. Side note: I think it is very pleasant and I look forward to giving it a full wearing to determine if it's FBW. Because It very well may be from what I'm experiencing.

Realy beautiful clean and radiant perfume but still complex creation. Love Une nuit nomade perfumes. Great blends, very affordable and different options of bottles to pick up depens on a budget and smells expensive. Jerome di Marino is another great perfumer of young generation who does gorgeous perfumes and can create longlasting fragrances with beautiful persistent silage and projection.

Fresh, clean laundry, just hung up, still damp, smelling beautifully. Fantastic summer scent! I have an obsession with clean musky fragrances and I think I won't even try to stop myself from buying a full bottle of this. Because some days all you want is to smell clean and bright and happy. Like you absorbed all the sunshine that paled the colours.

One of the most interesting clean linen scents I’ve tried. It starts fresh and a little citrusy, like laundry that has just come out of the drier. It develops into a sun soaked clean linen scent. It’s basically the cleanest of musks with a lot of brightness and a little spice on the dry down.

Fresh, clean, perfect for the office. Your skin but better. Inoffensive, perfect for all occasions and all seasons. I can smell Clean Linen, musk, white flowers. Similar to Blanche by Byredo, etc. 1 picture? White t-shirt! 10/10 I love it!

This smells like you have taken a shower with a Chanel no 5 soap, and put on a clean white shirt that’s been hanging out in the sun. Makes me feel clean and calm

The perfect soapy, clean and creamy scent I have been searching for.

Had a sample of this and even though at first whiff it didn’t really win me over I wanted to try and wear it out for a couple of days. I’m not sure if I’ll buy a full bottle quite yet but I can say that the more I wear it the more I’m appreciating it. Sun bleached is a lovely, perfectly musky, “clean laundry” type of fragrance. I’m not usually a big fan of white flowers, mainly because they tend to go bitter really quickly on my skin, but I have to say i didn’t mind them at all in this fragrance, the scent is delicate and balanced. It reads very dry, almost powdery to me which makes me state that, even though it feels like it should be a predominantly summery perfume, I would see myself wearing this pretty much all year ‘round. I honestly might just be influenced by the days I’ve just spent with this perfume on my skin, but I feel like the perfect condition to wear sun bleached is a sunny winter day. I was also surprised at how long lasting it was, I was expecting it to fade away in maybe 3/4 hours but at the moment I’m at hour 8 and even though it’s certainly not leaving a trail behind me (honestly it never really did, I don’t think, not much anyways) it’s still perfectly perceivable on my skin.

As others have noted, this smells like a generic laundry detergent. I like it, though it is not very special. The fragrance is unisex, although I'd say it leans towards feminine because it's relatively sweet at the beginning. If you want to smell like freshly washed linen, this is for you. Just to be clear, in my opinion it does not have a linen accord, does not smell of any particular type of textile; it merely reminds of washed clothes because of the association with scented laundry detergents. If you're used to a more special detergent it might not remind you of fresh clothes. Overall the fragrance is rather weak and does not have much sillage, but that's what I would expect from a fragrance like that. You could spray it on clothes to give it more longevity. People might ask you what washing powder you're using then.

Une Nuit Nomade Sun Bleached smells like clean washed linens that are not freshly washed, but have been lined and dried under the sun for a day or two already. I smell the laundry scent thinned out by the sun's warmth and rays. For clean intimate musk offerings from this house, Sun Bleached is just as good and moderately lasting as Nothing but Sea and Sky, which is surprisingly also laundry-adjacent to me except the salt/sea may be coming across like that in the opening before the warm sandalwood creeps in. Back to Sun Bleached, the scent is linear and truly reflects the name, because the laundry clean smell never turns into a harsh detergent concentrate. It truly smells like laundry dried in the sun. This starts very intimate, but warms up and projects a little more as time passes.

This angelic, clean, and innocent perfume reminded me of my laundry routine at my summer house: This time, the scent of the salty sea isn’t hitting my face; it’s morning, and the wind is blowing from the mountain (which means the sea will be a bit cooler today). I’ve done the laundry and I bury my face into the warm, white sheets. They’re damp and perfectly clean... I step out onto the balcony and hang a snow-white sheet on the line. Again, I bury my face in it... It's just so lovely. The sun has now started peeking through the mountain. It begins to warm gently from the east, at a slant. Birdsong, cats wandering at my feet, the beautiful sight of pomegranate blossoms, and the scent of the lemon tree accompany me as I leave the laundry out to dry. Clean and peaceful...

I love clean linen and fresh laundry scents and this one is no exception. It took a second to grow on me because the laundry accord is different than what I’m used to but it really is lovely after a full day’s wear. The laundry scent they used here is often used in baby soaps so if that isn’t your cup of tea I’d suggest another fragrance because that’s all you’ll smell here. I actually don’t mind it though. It’s sweet and easy to wear and doesn’t burn my nose like a lot of laundry scents can. Lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin and longer on clothes. I recommend with the caveat that you probably will recognize the baby detergent scent here if you’ve used any Johnson and Johnson baby lotions over the years. It makes me nostalgic and wistful.

This is very nice, clean perfume, however, even though I sprayed it at least 10-15 times, after an hour I could barely smell even on my clothes. I even asked my colleague if she could smell, but as well even on my clothes she needed to smell it from 10 cm. Regrettably the price is too steep for such poor performance. Edit: I tried Blanche and Blanche Absolut for the similarity and logetivity, but I found both too metallic, Absolut was not so long lasting as the OG Blanche. But now next to a baby, I value the poor longetivity as by the time I am back from my appointment on the rare occasions, the fragrance is gone. I might need to invest in a bigger bottle.

I woke up this morning and decided I wanted to feel positive and fresh - put this on one arm and Lazy Sunday Morning on the other. This won easily and was my after shower scent of the day. It’s very light, delicate, positive and although laundry fresh doesn’t smell synthetic. Unfortunately its sillage is non existent so to keep the positive vibes I have to keep sniffing my arm and wrist. Pretty but sadly pretty short lived. Completely gone in a couple of hours. Not fbw for me. But a nice first thing in the morning scent to lift your spirits and get you going.

I actually love this fragrance. It is not groundbreaking, however I love to have a fresh linen perfume in my collection because I think is it a staple to have and a great office perfume. It is very similar to Blanche by Byredo. Blanche is sharper whereas this is a bit rounder and sweeter. I like this one a little bit better and the price is a lot lower. Blanche does have more projection though.

I like this one. To me it's an everyday fragrance. If you are the type that has to wear a fragrance everyday this one is for you. I see it like a fragrance you put on when you have nothing special going on and still want to wear something that smells good but not one of your favorite. I had it on a sample. Would have purchased it if i didn't had so many fragrance already

I don't see the similarity to Byredo Blanche. Similar scent category only. This smells like clothes washed with lemony detergent. Sunny, bright, very summery. I see it being compared with Sicily too, Sicily is more effervescent and even more creamy-lemony. I would pick Sicily, but it is discontinued and the new version very pricey, so this is not a bad alternative.

I like this - it’s simple, comforting, fresh and soft. I wouldn’t venture past my sample because it’s not very ‘me’, but for a day’s wear to try it out, it’s been lovely. Performance isn’t huge, but I think this profile suits being a skin scent.

Smells like some type of Dove soaps on me. I don’t like the opening but the drydown is creamy, very nice. Doesn’t smell like Blanche at all, more like Ceramic if anything, but it’s the same vibe. No aldehydes here thank god.

Musky and very light - fresh linen scent. Nice but sits very close to the skin. Ever so slightly sweet floral. Not for me, but we'll executed -7.7/10 (minus points for being barely noticeable)

Pretty, clean, more creamy than soapy. Some summer/tropical vibes. Like clean skin with some skincare on, warmed by the sun. Not unique but yet a beautiful comforting scent.

That’s literally Sea Island Cotton by BBW - soapy clean, fresh, summery. Lovely, but I already have one that’s 99% the same. I regret paying €55 for 25 ml bottle...

This smells like the natural scent of my mother when I grew up. Clean, musky, gentle and comforting. It's a non fussy, easy reach that makes me feel caressed.

Smells like fresh white linen. Also a little like Dove soap bar. Beautiful and comforting but not worth the full bottle for me.

Ordered the discovery set from Une Nuit Nomade, and first off, BEAUTIFUL packing, very evocative and artistic, and super fast shipping. <3 This is purely laundry detergent. I don't get any white musks or florals. It's freshly washed laundry, where you put a little more detergent in than you usually do, you open the washing machine and a rush of hot, steamy, wet air strongly scented with laundry detergent wafts out at you. I'd have preferred if it were a little rounder; this one is too sharp and a little too clean. Surprisingly, this actually isn't the weakest of the bunch on my skin - this one has moderate projection. Kinda reminds me of 724 by MFK, but MFK is a little more cottony-musky and this one is a steaming-hot-laundry type situation.

Sun Bleached is one of those fragrances that immediately makes you feel something. The opening transports you straight to a beach holiday - light, airy, clean linen drying on a line in the sun after a day at the sea. There's nothing to pick apart or analyse, it just smells like a beautiful moment captured in a bottle. As it settles it becomes slightly more structured and laundry-like with a crisp soapy quality that actually works rather than bothers. It stays incredibly close to the skin throughout which feels intentional - this is a fragrance for you, not for the room. The problem for me is that I already own Love-O-Matic, which does this same clean musky skin-scent territory but with more depth, more personality and more of me in it.

So this is very much not my go-to scent profile and for that reason IDK if I'd wear it, but this smells like a beach house in such a nostalgic way (not sure why it's nostalgic for me; I never had a beach house). It smells like a home diffuser or scented seashells you'd put in an entryway called like "Coastal Linen." It evokes driftwood and seafoam green pillows, and clear glass lamps stuffed with seashells. Honestly is it reminding of the glade plug in linen scent a little? Yes, but I don't mind it. There's an Abbott scent with a very similar vibe -- I *think* it's called Crescent Beach? Both give me *your MIL who loves Home Goods and switches out guest bathroom towels for every season* kind of energy.

This is a total clean linens smell. It reminds me of a spray from Avon in the 90’s that was called cotton something or other I think - this makes me really reminiscent of it. It’s the smell you get when you’ve had sheets drying on The line on a summers day and you then iron them this is that smell to me. It’s a perfect bedtime scent for me although I’ll also give it a try in summer. It’s so not the longest lasting but it is one of those you don’t mind re applying.

For some reason I get notes of coriander, a little metallic. It's citrusy, it's impeccable, it's not so much fresh as it is "deep white" sensation, like starched linen fabrics as others have commented here. Not like pure fabric softener, but heated fabrics impregnated with a certain smell of their own. A sweetness in the background that is out of place for me because it gives it an artificial touch that I dislike, some harmless flowers.

Minimal, molecular, woody yet clean musk. The opening is sharp and cool in temperature but warms up with skin chemistry further into the wear. I love the evocative name and the packaging is beautiful for the price. I need to test further on my skin. This is not the type of scent to blow one's socks off but I am impressed so far with the overall ethos and aesthetic of the brand.

This truly smells like bedsheets out in the sun :D very light, weak. Not something I would buy for myself though. Update: I got a little sample to try it further. However, now that I had more time to play around with it this is Pur Blanca by Avon to my nose.. it has an oldschool white floral type of scent that reminds me of the 90s clean girl perfumes.

As my grandma ironed our clothes she used a product to avoid wrinkles on my fathers shirts. This was called Merito and you can find it on amazon. Sunbleached has the exact same smell of this product as it was combined with the ironsteam. It reminds me of tighty days it is nostalgic.

This smells cozy and warm. Opening : inoffensive white musk, white flower, linnen/laundry scent. It smells a little like the baby shampoo 'Zwitsal'. The dry down gets a little heavy with the white flowers, gets me a headache.

Inoffensive linen fragrance. I wanted more of the bergamot to come through, but I get mostly linen and musk. Smells like a dryer sheet. I'm pretty underwhelmed with this one - like, sure it's not bad but is it good?

I purchased some samples from Une Nuit Nomade specifically to try Sun Bleached, in my never-ending pursuit for the perfect fresh-laundry scent. I don't know when or how that will come to me, but Sun Bleached is not it. Maybe I have some messed-up skin chemistry, but I really can't begin to imagine where this earned any kind of reputation as a clean laundry scent. There is something piercingly sweet here that rears it's head anytime I start to let myself plunge into the rather pleasant musks of this scent. When I was a kid, my mom would buy these cheap apple-scented shampoos marketed towards kids, and it hits me like a train in this fragrance. And not in a nostalgic way. It's not horrible, and it very well may be that my perception of Sun Bleached is unfairly skewed entirely by my own memory of these shampoos. But there is something undeniably and distinctly fruity-sweet in here, in a way that completely rips me out of my plush-linen solar fantasy.
