Fig Leaf

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to test this one but I am in love! I might need a full bottle. It comes across to me like a work-appropriate Carnal Flower, and it kind of has a shampoo freshness about it. Not to say that it smells like a shampoo, but more so that it’s just sooo beautifully clean. It hits all the right floral notes while still remaining zesty and green. Beautiful, bright, lush, and irresistible.

What everyone else says: juicy, tart, green opening, which melts after a couple hours into a creamy musk. Reminds me of having a crush on your teacher. If the opening is the naïve surface of that feeling - something bright and feminine, an encouraging comment in a room full of people, a slice of daylight - then the dry down is a not-so-naïve after-hours fantasy of hushed voices, proximity, privacy.

sticky weeping photorealistic fig plant. lush and lively and oh so green. slightly sweetened by the soapy undertone that slowly takes front and center as the scent develops. death of a ladies man, lilac no 4, and fig leaf are grouped together in my brain...fig leaf wears overalls and a permanent grin as a uniform and enjoys taking long walks and air drying laundry in the outdoors.

it's spring personified. while the fig is green and crisp, the supporting notes round out the edges and make it among the creamiest of scents in my personal collection. i have this scent in rollerball form and the way it radiates off my pulse points is crazy! this is the first of UF's collection that i have been able to put into coherent words because it is such an easy reach.

I'm a fairy and I've just tucked myself into my matchbox bed using a freshly picked leaf as a blanket. The sharp and slightly bitter opening transforms into something still gorgeously green but ever so slightly softer as it dries down on my skin. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning and wash my face with a droplet of morning dew and weave baskets using blades of grass.

I am a Philosykos diehard stan but wanted to try something different and went down the fig rabbit hole...this was the winner for me. Like Philosykos, it is very green and fresh, but not as powdery. It feels summery and effervescent, like drinking vinho verde under a fig tree!

God damn. I just bought a giant bottle of Philosykos EDT about a month ago but later tried this at Scent Bar and couldn't stop smelling it. I know it's different but I prefer this one. I neeeed 💔

I've been seduced by another fig perfume!!! The opening of this kind of does smell like many other woody figs out there but then it dries down to a very delicious creamy green scent.

i'll start my review here by saying i am not a professional when it comes to notes so this is just my review as a girl getting into fragrance: i really like this smell! I did not expect to like it because I'm a sweet/warm girl. I like feminine fragrances. this is definitely unisex, but it doesn't feel masculine on me in any way. it smells like clean soapy grass. in a good way. i think (my newbie nose thinks) the musk is what is balancing out all the leafy greens in this, warming it up and making it much more tolerable than a harsh green that smells like salad. it's not sweet, it's fresh, i can really see myself grabbing this for a picnic or a brunch date when my friends or lover is close enough to my neck to smell me up! the price is high so you really have to be sure you love unisex green/fig, but honestly it's nice. I only have the tester on my wrists, but I'm sure it would have more sillage if I sprayed on my neck and clothes. still, I catch myself smelling my wrists over and over. I'm really impressed.

the nonbinary sibling to death of a ladies man. loving this lately as false spring is in full effect where i live, it really shines in warm sun and cool air. it is guh-REEN, really juicy and ever so slightly bitter. you ripped the fig leaf in half and now you have its leaf juice on your hands. dry down is creamy, musky, a little soapy like expensive shampoo. having a crush on your teacher from two reviews down is so apt -- there's something academic about this. sleek hair and wire frame glasses. i didn't expect to like this as much as i do!

More green than woody, and far from harsh. I don't think the neroli is easy to pick out here, but I do like the floral dimension. Not crisp like Courtney's other green release, Death of a Ladies Man. Rather, juicy. My scent of the summer.

a very green leafy scent, reminiscent of philosykos although it lacks the depth and humidity aspect that philosykos has, this one leans more fragrant and slightly soapy to my nose. its probably the white florals

The initial spray on me was photoreal Grillo pickles. Kid you not. The bright acid and pickling herbs. Then it turns into a more green, floral musk.

Truly GREEN. I don’t get any musk or powder. This sparkles with juicy freshness. A great springtime scent.

The leaf bikini Eve must have donned fleeing Eden. (Disclaimer: not a biblically-accurate fig). This is a tangy green, both fleshy and stemmy. There’s a creaminess too; milky and powdery. In combination the green and the cream become velveteen fig skin, or a buttery peppermint salve. Which isn’t to say it’s astringent or sterile. It smells like bare skin – clean skin, but still musky with life – after being spanked with fresh-cut leaves. Think naughty Philosykos. The happy medium if you found Death of a Ladies Man too bitter and Heliotrope Milkbath too yonic, but still wanted a good helping of both. Mental Snapshot: This is what a satyr would wear on a picnic date in Central Park. This is Pan, giving you stubble burn in a field of clover. This is my first fig scent so I can't make the obvious comparison to philosykos, but, Fig Leaf has this crisp herbaceous green opening that actually reminds me of Santal 33's green violet, curiously. So, if you think that smells pickles youre gonna have a tough time because imo the pickle vibes persist for longer here. This intense aromatic greenness does soften into Fig Leaf's drydown, where it differs from 33 significantly. It's a green slightly creamy white floral musk that goes a bit powdery on me. This turns into a skin scent in just a few hours but Im pretty fine with that, as I prefer the white floral and musky base notes. Fig leaf is definitely for the green girlies, which idk if I really am.

i loveeee a green fig but this one is very grassy on my skin :( i don’t get fig leaf in the same way philosykos might give, and i think this one just confirmed i don’t love petitgrain notes (edit: omg i figured it out. this smells like off bugspray on me for some reason!!!)

I like green perfumes, this just smells a bit old maiden. There’s something that reminds me of my great grandmothers rank perfume that lights your nostrils on fire.
