Gossamer Spirit

Don’t know anything that compares to this. The BEST way to describe how it smells- Freshly poured Sprite, with a TON of incense on its surface. It’s fizzy, slightly metallic and dry, with a huge incense hit. But a slightly greenish quality that reminds me of a sprite in a way! Absolutely intoxicating. Can’t stop smelling my arm. Got the 15ml, and not sure how much more I need. I’ll test it in public, but honestly this feels like a ‘for me’ scent I’ll wear at night at home. VERY nice! EDIT: dry down becomes much more musky and ambery with incense still very present. Easy LOVE. Unisex, for anyone who enjoys an incense note.

Musky, ambery incense. It's a little bit dusty, presumably from the hay, and softly sweet, like sitting in an old monastery and smelling wafts of incense intermingling with wooden pews, cold stone floors, and warmed iron candelabras. IMO it's different enough from all the other incense fragrances on the market to justify owning alongside heavy-hitters like Avignon, etc., but I prefer Gossamer Spirit because it feels more robust. The musk here really cocoons my body and performance is solid. Totally unisex.

Rafuse captured something so unique and ephemeral here! It's a cold and shimmering metallic at the top, then softens into clean musk, hay, and sandalwood. It’s austere, like a medieval church or an icy Nordic cabin, but also playful - like Marley and Marley rattling their (queer-coded) chains in Scrooge’s dusty bedroom. Smells like peak winter when the sun sets at 4:00 PM, but I’m wearing it on a cloudy September Saturday and I love it.

cold incense and metal that almost reads fruity to my nose... there's a sparkling quality that you might get from a scent with black currant or something in it. maybe that's because of the hay? it adds something organic and earthy to an otherwise very lofty and ethereal fragrance. gossamer spirit is a perfect name, i feel like a benevolent ghost wrapped in layers of lacy white when i wear this <3 kind of obsessed

evocative, for sure, with a pleasantly eerie quality. makes me think of thurible smoke curling around a sparsely candle lit room in a stuffy wooden church, a congregation of ghosts attending midnight mass. thick enough to choke on (in the very best way). completely unisex. wears close to the skin but lasts forever. as someone weird, this is signature worthy to me lol.

This has a super fizzy opening, dare I say.....root beer. But if root beer was the drink of choice for spectres and shadows. I’m still going through my sample during the summer, waiting for it to rain so that I can brood in Gossamer Spirit.

for me leans more masculine, kind of smells like someone who has been leafing thru old books. steely + heavy on incense. kind of what i imagine to be cillian murphy's vibes in a bottle

amazing ! incense heaven. not sure that i would spend $ on a FB over say..avignon, which is my most beloved incense. wish i had more to say , but I do love it very much.

Metallic chaí on me - i like it. It’s sparkly and a little soapy. It leans masc/unisex on me. Another one that reminds me of japir chaí

Opening does smell like root beer and a Pine scented candle as others say. but the dry down is immaculate and sacred

This feels like I am sniffing my boyfriend’s pits at Mass and I’m not on birth control. Love.

I think of fog thick enough to cut with a knife and eat.

a very well done incense-forward perfume. totally unisex, it's dark academia, it's a catholic church chapel, it's a dusty chandelier in a haunted house. someone said Cillian Murphy and yea... I agree. I don't think I have enough places to wear this scary perfume to... it's so mysterious I could see myself grabbing it on a cold October day when I'm wearing all black. If this was someone's signature scent I would be really impressed, that person is so cool and bold to have this dark perfume on as their thing. if I had money to splurge on a bunch of bottles from Universal Flowering, I'd get this one for the dark sexy fun of it, but since I can only afford one I probably won't buy this. I'll savor my tester for a special night when I'm feeling creepy

Gossamer Spirit has a beautifully fizzy, effervescent opening that smells like a ghost cracking open a can of soda just outside your peripheral vision. You follow the sound of the clicking aluminum tab and the hiss of the carbonation escaping, but as soon as you turn your head, nobody’s there. You sense the touch of a soft, cold breath exhaled onto your neck. The room smells faintly of incense and you are left with inexplicable feelings of longing and melancholy. A delicate and haunting fragrance.

Like it. Definitely a bit cold and austere, don't know that I would say metallic exactly but that is the right area. The combination brings out something sweet and almost fruity, even though there aren't really any fruit notes. I don't quite get incense or sandalwood but there are warm, ambery, woody base notes. Reminds me of Irish Spring bar soap, clean and earthy and fresh. Unique but not too adventurous or off-putting. If you like Paris Memo Tiger's Nest you'll probably like this.

very smooth, silvery, thick, hazy ghost-of-incense. sweet in a non-gourmand way and foggy as opposed to straight up smoky. a cool dry fog though, not a humid one. was reminded of it at a party when the DJ lit a stick of incense and it was mixing with the sweet-metallic taste of fog machine and a bit of sweat

Hot dry and dreamy. Fresh ironed down fabric or the smokiness of thread out the sewing machine. Your father’s collar. Something burns in the distance.

smells like burning incense in a cabin... very earthy, light and familiar

You know how in tv/films people feel a sharp chill and then weird and gross when a ghost passes through them? And then when the ghost has left they recover quickly? That is the exact journey I have been taken on through fizzy opening, heady heart, and musky dry down. The bones of this fragrance are really likeable. I'd enjoy it on someone else. It's just not my cup of tea.

the sandalwood is too prominent in my opinion.... its very very very humid and dense. i do get the metallic notes, even the hay... but where is the incense :( i dont find it smokey even a little bit... 3 i so badly wanted to love this. the bottle and story behind it are both beautiful. my boyfriend really likes this tho.

The incense in this fragrance is definitely on the spicy side to my nose and very clove-forward. There's a staticky quality to it, the way that chewing on a clove will numb your mouth or the feeling of your leg falling asleep.

This smells like the perfect fizzy version of a cross between Avignon and Zagorsk from CDG. As a former catholic school girl, this gives me nostalgia for holiday masses on gloomy fall days. Incense for beginners.

This is exactly the vibe I was hoping for with the Commes Des Garçons incense collection. It smells almost exactly like expensive Japanese incense.
