Go Rogue

This is a compelling entry into the oriental woody genre that strikes a beautiful balance between high-end sophistication and approachable warmth. From the first spray, you are met with a bold and aromatic opening dominated by black tea and cardamom. The fig note adds a subtle, creamy sweetness that keeps the spice from feeling too sharp, creating an immediate comparison to the DNA found in BDK’s Gris Charnel. It is a refined, "quiet luxury" style of opening that feels much more expensive than its price tag suggests. As the fragrance develops, the heart reveals a smooth, powdery texture thanks to the orris absolute and labdanum. This middle phase is where the scent truly begins to feel cozy and well-rounded. It transitions beautifully into a grounding base of Indian sandalwood and bourbon vetiver, which provides a long-lasting, slightly earthy finish.

In my opinion it’s just an ok fragrance on its own, it’s a decent bdk Gris charnel dupe however I am not much of a fan of Gris charnel. I do think what it’s great for is layering with other spicy, woodsy or even a gourmand fragrance if you want. It lasts a fair bit on skin and on my clothes until I wash them. It opens very heavy on the cardamom and sandalwood and eventually balances itself out and you start to smell the fig and tea leaves. Overall I give it a 3/5 but if you’re a fan of Gris charnel this is a respectable dupe imo and especially for the price it’s a worthwhile pickup
