Running With The Wolves

That initial blast of cherry spooked me a bit, I get the cherry air freshener/cherry medicine thing other reviewers are mentioning. But if you give it a chance, after only a few short minutes it mellows out into something very pleasantly fruity with a soft animal fur behind it. Not dirty or funky at all, it's very subtle to my nose. This wouldn't normally be a scent profile I would go for, and reading the description and notes I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it works. I am trying this one right at the beginning of summer, so idk if it can be worn in the heat. ...Maybe? Its not too heavy and mostly fruity. I like it enough that it's worth a try at this time of year, but probably more fitting for cooler weather. I've just started trying Untamed's discovery set (I'm halfway through) but I'm really enjoying the few I've tried so far, particularly Chocolate Earth along with Running With the Wolves, and I have a feeling that the whole collection is going to be just lovely.

Omg this is finally on Fragrantica. I love this. One of my biggest compliment getters. I had both Lost Cherry and Rouge Smoking as part of my collection - I sold them both when I got this one. This is by far the best cherry-dominant fragrance on the market IMO. I have such a strong association between anything cherry, and chapstick. (I always get cherry flavoured chapstick because it’s just the best). The soothing sensation of wearing cherry chapstick on a cool, crisp day is essentially what I want out of a cherry fragrance. This delivers. It’s playful, earthy, and has lots of depth. The Tuberose is a supporting character here; same for the oud and the almond. The cherry is really centre stage while the apple helps with a touch of fresh sweetness in the opening (although I wouldn’t classify this as a gourmand at all). If you’re looking for something that smells high quality and niche without being challenging, this is a good option. Leans feminine but could work as unisex.

I was hunting for new cherry perfume to replace Ferragamo's Subtil and bought this as blind buy based on notes. This fragrance is so well done and fantastic! Opens with strong, ripped cherry and aromatic Sichuan pepper notes, then half an hour into wear leathery and fur accords start to peak through. Almond adds slight warmth to balance out cool cherry note. Sensual, a bit wild and totally intoxicating. Lasts for days on fabric. If I would have to pick the archetype for this perfume, it would be a biker girl with long hair, very confident and adventurous. To me, it fits the most cooler autumn days where woodsy and leather notes can shine through the most.

This is such a special fragrance! A complete blind buy, and something I don’t recommend doing, but it worked out very well for me - it’s right up my street. Unexpectedly, I find it to be the canid cousin to Francesca Bianchi’s Tyger Tyger (one of my favourites) with added dark juicy cherries - for me there’s a vintage, powdery element and definite animalic similarities. It has attitude - it’s wild, powerful, sometimes a little serious, sometimes a little playful. I am looking forward to exploring more of Sunyata’s creations, the quality is superb and her talent is undeniable.

One of my favorite and most unique fragrances in my collection! Delicious opening with red apple and cherry combo and just the right amount of sweetness. This is the first fragrance where I have grown to love an animilistic character, it is blended so well and is soft the way nature intended. Amazing website as well...Sunyata has really accomplished a mood with the beautiful photography which has also translated into her fragrances!

What an adventure! This is my first from the house of Untamed, as well as my first introduction to noticeably animalic notes. The burst of pepper at the start was strong enough to take me aback, and had me worried I wouldn’t survive the full life of the scent. Turns out I was worried for nothing, as it faded within a minute or two. What next came through was an extremely juicy cherry — no “freshener” scent for me. This leaned heavily toward the photorealistic, with perhaps a slight candy edge. And it lasted and lasted and lasted. I never lost the cherry during the 5-6-ish hours it survived on my skin (I’m on hour 7 now, and it’s still alive and well on my sweater). But from start to finish, those “animal notes” definitely made themselves known. I have a hard time describing these. The closest comparison I can draw is burying my face in my friend’s pup’s fur as a kid. Not a dirty dog smell, but definitely something reminiscent of fur and the wild. Which, given the name and inspiration of the scent, is perfectly fitting, right? I think Untamed nailed the delivery of what’s promised by this fragrance’s name. I can’t recommend purchasing a full bottle as a blind buy, but this is such a promising start to my Discovery Set. I can’t wait to try the others! And few quick notes: - The animalic note is FAR less strong on my sweater than my skin. Gotta love the wonders of body chemistry! - House owner Sunyata provides A++ customer service. When I had inquired about the set being OOS, she personally reached out once it was available again.

I like this a lot better on my skin than I did on the paper blotter. On paper it felt a bit sharp to me, with the sichuan pepper at the forefront. On my skin the creaminess of the almond and tuberose come out beautifully to balance out the spice and cherry notes. The cherry adds a sultry playfulness but doesn't overpower.

I've had an obsession with finding good cherry fragrances for men, and I've been pretty let down overall... possibly because there are not many good cherry fragrances, or nobody can seem to agree if cherry is supposed to be cough medicine, or ice cream, or fresh cherries, sweet cherries, tart cherries... anyway, this is not the perfect cherry fragrance for men - nor for women - but it is really interesting and mostly pleasing. I can't remember when or where I bought this, but I can tell you it sat unused on a shelf for a long time after I first tried it as it never seemed to be what I felt like wearing, until recently. A couple weeks ago it was cool outside and I was in an outdoors and cherry state of mind, so I grabbed it and sprayed some on my skin, and some on my clothes. Before I went out for the afternoon I felt like I couldn't really smell it very much so I plastered some more on (probably a total of about 12 sprays from my first and then second hosing down). DON'T OVERSPRAY THIS!! It doesn't fade much, but you can easily go noseblind on it, and then after bathing in it again, well, everyone noted that I was wearing something that smelled good, but really strong. I toned it down the next time I wore it a few days later and things went much, much better. Lot's of comments on the nice cherry and woodsy notes, and while most people couldn't identify it, the Sichuan pepper definitely was coming through, so much in fact that the first day, the overspray day, I and people around me were coughing from the pepper. So, keep that in mind if you're a habitual oversprayer like I tend to be. A moderate spraydown will do ya just fine. I'm not sure where the "Running With the Wolves" name came from as it doesn't evoke that kind of vibe for me, but it does smell right for cool weather, outdoorsy sorts of encounters or active situations, and it has an exciting, masculine, vibrant sort of feel to it. I don't think of this as unisex so much as masculine, but girls, you do you. The right gal should be able to make this work. I'm happy I rediscovered this in my collection. If you like cherry and don't want your cherry to be soft and fluffy, this might work nicely for you.

i got a sample for this which to my understanding is supposed to be like a woodsy cherry mild animal bottom note type beat. the actual application was 2 hours of a syrupy cherry medicine smell and 18 hours of sleeping face-down in the part of a couch an old old old OLD dog has loved the very most for its entire life. its so vivid. would make for an amazing prank smell

Not a cherry perfume fan, but this is very nice. Nice bright cherry, in between realistic and candy-like. I also smell the zingy sichuan peppercorn and tart apple skin, giving it more depth to the fruit. The base is a sultry musk, slightly dirty but not overwhelming so. It evokes imageries of raw suede or fur lined coats. The contrast between of those two main notes is just so nice. Lasts a long time too compared to other cherry perfumes.

I don’t know what to think of this one yet it’s very Cherry forward which is what I wanted... but the cherry is borderline reminding me of car wash Cherry air fresheners. It’s not bad or synthetic just maybe not the cherry for me. I will keep testing an report back. The other notes are barely there a hint do the pink pepper wafts in and out.
