UNTITLED No.7 by Hilde Soliani

A simple light yet warm citrus vanilla, they only made 100 of them so I snatched this one up, it is the best I have tried from this line, and it really is quite gorgeous. It starts with a kind of lime like citrus opening perfectly blended with the sweet rich vanilla and sandalwood. I get a hint of almond at the start too, but maybe thats just my imagination. This fragrance could be used to layer or on its own daily, its very subtle and rich at the same time, the oil just melds with your skin and its almost a gourmand skin scent? I dont know, but I tried it in a sample and knew I had to have a bottle... ASAP! I have a lot of vanillas, but nothing quite like this... It is unique in its aura and scent- the lime/vanilla/sandalwood is not something I have experienced before- usually citruses like lemon or bergamot are used instead of lime, but something about this blend just screams perfection- it is very sensual without being the least bit raunchy- totally safe for work or an intimate occasion. I'll admit it, I cannot stop smelling myself and am EAGERLY awaiting luckyscents delivery (which is always very prompt because of my so cal location). I am so happy I found this... I truly LOVE it and finding a new fragrance I love is better than an orgasm IMO ;) I suggest trying a sample! Update! Got my full bottle, no spray here, which always bums me out, but is usually the price you pay for ordering the oil version. There is a strong note of pistachio that I didn't notice until now. It is mixed in with the citrus and vanilla, it is a fantastic gourmand fragrance. I have no regrets on the purchase! Long lasting, subtle, uplifting, pretty and almost edible!

The opening on this was really heavy on the citrus, I smelled bergamot with a hint of sandalwood. 15 minutes later the citrus has all but disappeared and now the vanilla is the star of the show. It's a totally gourmand sweet smooth creamy vanilla, very nice but is it original, considering how many hundreds of vanillas are out there, and considering that I'm a vanilla freak and have tried so many of them? Not really. Is it a must have for me? No. Would I buy it if money were no issue? Yeah sure I already have about 30 vanilla scents, so why not one more! I love the vanilla-sandal combo, I mean I love these scents anyway so anything with both of them is not going to displease me, but this just doesn't wow the pants off me like I was hoping. I do love Hilde's perfumes and think she's very talented. And for a tri-note perfume it is lovely but I think I'll save my pennies this time-not something I say often!!

Update- a couple years later, and the citrus top has all but disappeared. The sandal-vanilla combo has deepened and become richer, as vanilla based scents are wont to do. I like this a little more now, but still at this price, (currently works out at about AU$13 per ml!!!!) you'd have to love it!
