Ind. Sandalwood

I had the privilege of smelling a ~$93 USD tiny essential oil bottle of Sandalwood oil. This is the closest scent I have found to that. It's warm, not too synthetic smelling, smooth and almost gourmand. The other notes are so subtle. I don't detect any notes other than a sweet, very linear sandalwood (javanol?). Despite the warmth, I love it for summer nights. It was a fantastic find for the price, and I will likely get another bottle. If you like CK Eternity Now, you'll likely like this too. Edit: As my bottle has macerated, the other notes have come out a little more. Not purely sandalwood anymore, but absolutely enjoyable.

Creamy sandalwood that brings me comfort. You can't go wrong with this scent profile honestly. It is cozy, inviting, and versatile. The vanilla is soft in this, and there is a hint of sweetness floating around in the background. Not cloying whatsoever. I didn't quite smell the incense though, and maybe that's a good thing for the folks who dislike incense.

Excellent faceted sandalwood that smells way more expensive than it is. Unfortunately it lasts for only about an hour, but at the price point reapplication is a mere inconvenience. I received this as a gift while home for the holidays and have worn it almost daily.

Incredible value for the money. Fantastic woodsy vanilla fragrance. I would dare to say it does the job of YSL Myslf better than YSL does. A no-brainer scent.

It’s creamy, warm, sweet: I wore it summer in dry sunny Los Angeles. Something I imagine Eve Babitz would wear. EDIT: Now I feel like it’s a little too sweet and vanilla. My initial impression was based on hosing myself down from an in store tester last year, I don't know if the formulation has changed or if my taste towards it has..... I wonder if it’s because the in store tester had macerated and this will once again become the sandalwood of my dreams... Edit: I think the secret is I loved it I'm the arid climate of LA, but it's simply too humid here on the east coast to have the same magic.

alleged notes: bergamot, juniper berries, incense, jasmine petals, cashmere wood, vanilla beans, sandalwood what i smell: ethyl alcohol and a light floral scent event / my reaction: though i do like IND due to their scent, smoke. this doesn’t smell nearly as deliciously complex. this feels like BB&W trying to be bespoke.

Ok, if this smells like the Bulgari Magnifying Sandalwood I'm getting it. I love that one but the price for a tiny bottle of just straight sandalwood-yikes. It's giving BR540 Extrait prices. I could do without the bergamot and juniper in this one so I hope they are in it for other reasons than scent because MS is JUST sandalwood...DIVINE sandalwood and so so smooth. EDIT: Liars. This doesn't smell like Bulgari Sandalwood at all. This smells like nothing. They sent me a bottle of water. I get a slight musk at first and then POOF! It disappears. This is going back to UO. Bye!

This perfume only cost me $24 at Urban Outfitters. What a great scent! It reminds me of a toned down version of another scent I like: Ink by Akro. Great scent for every occasion and great winter/fall scent
