Guercino

Guercino is high on my want list. Citrus fragrances are so refreshing that I just need to get my hands on this one. And that gorgeous gold bottle makes it so classy!

This has the same synthetic musky dry down as Kirke, Erba Pura, Dahab, and many others. Update: we were not able to make friends with this fragrance. It has a new home in my friend’s collection.

This is very nice - it’s a true mouthwatering ripe melon bubblegum icecream. Something like the way overripe mango nectar gets sweet and mushy on a thick decadent bourbon vanilla icecream base with tart passionfruit sauce/jelly topping (or in this case mouthwatering effect of an overly sweet green apple). So, I do get the comparisons with Cassiopeia. I’m not sure if you need them both, but if you are on a kick and trying to taste all the fruit in the bag - why not. Misiarte is lighter than this one, same structure, different fruit and more white florals (LOTV, slightly indolic jasmine...) and here you have only frangipani. Brun goes citric amber etc ... bb is colder and more blossom waxy lipgloss etc etc ... a bit like gummy bears... many colors many flavors, same idea ....

While this does have that Kirke/ Erba Pura base, melon & pear separate themselves from the other fruits & shine through providing for an added candylike sweetness at the top. As someone who does appreciate this type of DNA, from all of the variants I've tried I would have to say this is my favorite.

The pear note in this is the strongest -- it's blended well with the apple and citruses. And that pear note is also very similar to the one in Paula's Ibiza Cosmic by Loewe, which I already have. I will use up my 5 ml decant of this but I don't see myself needing to get a full bottle.
