I have been turned off from the Terenzi brands for so long, mostly because I have never had the chance to test any of the perfumes in person, so my impression was solely based on their social media persence, their choice of YouTube reviewers and most of all the abundance of fake reviews here on Fragranctica under almost all of their perfumes which are not super popular otherwise. Basically every review under their products where the author's handle is created by the formula "NameNumber" is fake. Based on the style and wording of these reviews, they are even written by the same person, which is even more disturbing. I still to this day can't comprehend why the hell they need this "advertisement" here, but I actually took the chance and sampled some of their products, and surprisingly they are not bad at all. Some of them are even really really good! I am not the biggest fan of the Terenzi line, it's just a bit too loud for my taste, but I fell in love with many perfumes from the V Canto collection, like with this one here. Isotta is basically a rose-leather scent, which sounds pretty boring, but it really is something different. I don't see how it fits in the gourmand category, nothing smells edible here, except if you happen to be a koala. The eucalyptus on the top is really prominent, and it gives this unique freshness to the composition. The rose is the Bulgarian type, like in Cicuta, but it doesn't become as sweet here. Bulgarian rose has the tendency to get sharp and screechy but it's perfectly rounded, smoothed out here, perfectly balanced with the softest, buttery leather. I think the scent actually fits the marketing blurb. It's a beautiful feminine fragrance, pretty, smart and strong at the same time. Imagine Pallas Athena.

Eternal love for me and a serious gourmand with all the citrusy touch that makes it even more beautiful. Being a man, I love this scent but I would love it even more on a woman, I would say, my woman 😉. Paolo Terenzi has wonderfully worked on this stunning beauty where normal gourmand myths are broken and made more loving and unique. Opening notes in this are most citrusy along with hint of green tea and lots of eucalyptus. Soon after, these notes settle to the floral notes of Bulgarian rose, geranium and jasmine. Dry down is all of cedar, delicious vanilla making this gourmand more beautiful and the leathery notes giving it a royal and expensive gourmand like feel overall. Performance for this lovely fragrance is moderate as the longevity is moderate that ends up for 6-7 hours and the silage is moderate too. Yes, the scent is surely unisex and a great value for money. Feel from this scent is rich, cool, multifaceted and complex yet beautiful and loving. Recommended!

I get a very dense rose with a big blast of herbal eucalyptus and citrus off the bat. The leather isn't as strong as i expected, but it's there. The citrus and eucalyptus really dominate the fragrance and push it very unisex. Depending on your tastes you might find this a bit femme leaning due to the heavy rose presence. Personally, i'm not a fan... But i can see the appeal.

Today I’m going to share my thoughts on one of the most complicated Perfumes in my collection. I purchased Isotta by V Canto at the beginning of 2021 and ever since then I was planning to review this fragrance. But I couldn’t find the right words to explain it as every time I spray this fragrance I feel so overwhelmed by the smell that I can’t put it in words. So, in this post I’ll try my best to explain the smell and performance of Isotta by V Canto. Notes Breakdown... The opening of this fragrance is fresh citrus heavy with a herbal tone. If you’re familiar with the smell of Eucalyptus then you’ll get the smell right after spraying the fragrance. Gradually the citrus and green tea notes fade away but I can still smell the Eucalyptus. The notes of leather, Bulgarian Rose, Vanilla and Cedar wood are also noticeable from right after 10-15 minutes of spraying the fragrance. To my nose the Jasmine note is not that prominent. Overall it’s a really unique woody-leathery-rosy fragrance. Even though it’s categorized as a citrus gourmand, but the gourmand notes are not overpowering. The rose smells fresh and not powdery at all. All the notes are perfectly well blended and balanced. The smell is non-linear and takes the wearer to a fragrant journey from being fresh and herbal to Rosy, Sweet and Leathery and ultimately to a Leathery Woody dry down. Longevity, Projection & Sillage: Isotta by V Canto is a really long lasting fragrance. On my skin I get around 10+ hours longevity and on clothes the smell lasts even the next day, infact until you wash the clothes you’ll get whiffs of the smell. The fragrance creates a scent bubble around the wearer and leaves a beautiful scent trail. Anyone within a hands distance will be able to smell the fragrance. Is it a complement grabber? As I’ve already mentioned the smell is totally different and complicated than any other Fragrances, so, the fragrance is bound to get you noticed. This projects so well that people will turn their heads most definitely. But again as it’s a complicated fragrance so, don’t expect compliments from everyone around you. I mostly get compliments from people who love fragrances and especially from those who love woody-leathery-rosy smell. Storytime: I bought this Fragrance after watching a review on YouTube. I had 2 Fragrances from this brand already and I was really happy with the smell and performance. So, when I saw this beautiful purple bottle I had to get it! One day I sprayed Isotta by V Canto and got many compliments from my friends and family. They said I smell natural and fresh yet woody. Most of the time the complement comes after 4/5 hours of spraying. So you have to be patient & let the perfume do it's magic! History Behind Isotta: The inspiration behind the brand V Canto is Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Isotta is named after Princess Isotta of Gradara castle, the wife of Prince Sigismondo. She is described as a significant soul of the castle, she was beautiful, charming, energetic and intelligent. The purple color symbolizes her nobility, wisdom, creativity, mystery and dignity. Weather, Season and Occasion: I prefer this during colder weather. Also, this smells beautiful during spring time too. I personally won’t recommend Isotta by V Canto for daily use. It’s more suitable for special occasions like family get together, hangouts or daytime parties. Overall I love this fragrance and I believe every Fragrance lover should try this. Isotta by V Canto smells nothing like any other Fragrance available in the market. It’s unique, it’s mysterious, it’s an absolute art!
