Stricnina

This was actually not on my shelf ever and probably I was not even going to try it anyway because the notes didn’t appeal me at first and moreover, I don’t prefer wearing unisex scents. But last month, while at work, I had this sudden plan to date a guy. Oh gosh! I wanted to smell good but damn, I didn’t carry any fragrance along. So, I asked one of my office friends to borrow her fragrance as she was smelling literally the best in office that time though the day was about to end. I knew for sure; the longevity of her fragrance was amazing. So, she handed me this Stricnina V canto. I sprayed it over and wow, the passionfruit along with other citrusy notes created an amazing feel around. I left from office and during the dinner date, I smelled like fresh raspberry along with other green and floral notes making me more and more gorgeous. I was really happy with what I wore and today morning I was in scent shop buying the same scent. Love love love this and preserving it for all my dates now onwards.

It was love at first sniff. The opening hits with a clear cinnamon note, followed by an explosion of sweetness and juicy fruits. It’s not as citrusy as Kirke or Jardin Exclusif, this one is much sweeter, juicier, and has a noticeable candy like accord. Despite that, it doesn’t feel like a youthful or girly fragrance. On the contrary, it leans more toward a confident, feminine, and grown woman’s scent. There's a beautiful balance between the fruity sweetness and some subtle green undertones. I find it very feminine, vibrant, and ideal for a self-assured woman who loves a bold yet elegant fragrance. It has good projection without being overpowering, making it perfect for spring and summer days or nights. If you like fruity gourmand scents with a hint of spice this one stands out, like a more refined and more smoother cousin of Kirke. Rating: 8.5/10 addictive, playful, and grown-up

My absolute favorite fragrance right now! It's so addictive and I can't stop smelling it. I'd best describe the scent as luxury, imagine walking into a hotel lobby. You definately notice the passionfruit & the rasberry & a light fresh citrus scent, and then some more dark & masculine undertones which I'd believe is the wood. The sweet amber/fruity notes definately balences out the wood, so for me this suits for a confident/luxury woman, and not so much for a man. If you love fruity scents, but are tired of the youthful/bubblegum-sweet perfumes, I'd suggest you try this one. Very expensive, but I will definately buy a big bottel of this, cuz I can't imagine not having it. So unique and not mainstream.

Oh my, oh my ........!!!! I received a sample of this and immediately purchased a full bottle - it's that good!! This fragrance is just heavenly in cooler weather. I couldn't stop smelling myself (in the best way). Even with a mask on, the fragrance danced around just enough to make you aware of it's presence and want just a little more. I was snuggled up under a blanket and the scent made me smile as it wafted under the cover. Just elegant and soothing, with a little bit of "come hither" mixed in. One of my best splurges. ***UPDATE*** I was organizing my clothes to bring them to the cleaners and this fragrance was still in the blouse I wore almost a week later. This will be a winter fave.

Two thumbs up. Another blind buy win from V Canto. This is my third (also blind bought Mirabile and Magnificat). I really like this one! It is tropical, but doesn't have the requisite sun tan lotion note that a lot of tropical fragrances seem to have. The cinnamon doesn't stand out, but gives it just the perfect amount of zip. I smell mostly the passion fruit and the Peach at first. The bottom notes are peeking through now, and it is divine. I agree that it is not overly sweet or girly, but a frown up fruity-sweet fun. Makes me almost want to drink it with some rum.... On my skin, it doesn't smell artificial to me at all. Favorite tropical perfume yet!!
