Stricnina

This was actually not on my shelf ever and probably I was not even going to try it anyway because the notes didn’t appeal me at first and moreover, I don’t prefer wearing unisex scents. But last month, while at work, I had this sudden plan to date a guy. Oh gosh! I wanted to smell good but damn, I didn’t carry any fragrance along. So, I asked one of my office friends to borrow her fragrance as she was smelling literally the best in office that time though the day was about to end. I knew for sure; the longevity of her fragrance was amazing. So, she handed me this Stricnina V canto. I sprayed it over and wow, the passionfruit along with other citrusy notes created an amazing feel around. I left from office and during the dinner date, I smelled like fresh raspberry along with other green and floral notes making me more and more gorgeous. I was really happy with what I wore and today morning I was in scent shop buying the same scent. Love love love this and preserving it for all my dates now onwards.

It was love at first sniff. The opening hits with a clear cinnamon note, followed by an explosion of sweetness and juicy fruits. It’s not as citrusy as Kirke or Jardin Exclusif, this one is much sweeter, juicier, and has a noticeable candy like accord. Despite that, it doesn’t feel like a youthful or girly fragrance. On the contrary, it leans more toward a confident, feminine, and grown woman’s scent. There's a beautiful balance between the fruity sweetness and some subtle green undertones. I find it very feminine, vibrant, and ideal for a self-assured woman who loves a bold yet elegant fragrance. It has good projection without being overpowering, making it perfect for spring and summer days or nights. If you like fruity gourmand scents with a hint of spice this one stands out, like a more refined and more smoother cousin of Kirke. Rating: 8.5/10 addictive, playful, and grown-up

My absolute favorite fragrance right now! It's so addictive and I can't stop smelling it. I'd best describe the scent as luxury, imagine walking into a hotel lobby. You definately notice the passionfruit & the rasberry & a light fresh citrus scent, and then some more dark & masculine undertones which I'd believe is the wood. The sweet amber/fruity notes definately balences out the wood, so for me this suits for a confident/luxury woman, and not so much for a man. If you love fruity scents, but are tired of the youthful/bubblegum-sweet perfumes, I'd suggest you try this one. Very expensive, but I will definately buy a big bottel of this, cuz I can't imagine not having it. So unique and not mainstream.

Oh my, oh my ........!!!! I received a sample of this and immediately purchased a full bottle - it's that good!! This fragrance is just heavenly in cooler weather. I couldn't stop smelling myself (in the best way). Even with a mask on, the fragrance danced around just enough to make you aware of it's presence and want just a little more. I was snuggled up under a blanket and the scent made me smile as it wafted under the cover. Just elegant and soothing, with a little bit of "come hither" mixed in. One of my best splurges. ***UPDATE*** I was organizing my clothes to bring them to the cleaners and this fragrance was still in the blouse I wore almost a week later. This will be a winter fave.

Two thumbs up. Another blind buy win from V Canto. This is my third (also blind bought Mirabile and Magnificat). I really like this one! It is tropical, but doesn't have the requisite sun tan lotion note that a lot of tropical fragrances seem to have. The cinnamon doesn't stand out, but gives it just the perfect amount of zip. I smell mostly the passion fruit and the Peach at first. The bottom notes are peeking through now, and it is divine. I agree that it is not overly sweet or girly, but a frown up fruity-sweet fun. Makes me almost want to drink it with some rum.... On my skin, it doesn't smell artificial to me at all. Favorite tropical perfume yet!!

I don't know how Cassiopea smells like, which I do would love to check out...even thinking to just blind buy! But now i see that lots of vote Stricnina (which I owned) smells a lot like Cassiopea it gets me re-think. Especially I also have Andromeda which I honestly think its similar with Stricnina, just with some more woody takes on Andromeda and Stricnina is more fruitier. Nevertheless they're all beautiful happy fresh yet classy fragrances, just don't think I need 3 of them in my collection.

I love fruity fragrances that pack an intense, realistic fruity punch like Byredo Pulp. Stricnina smells nothing like Pulp but has that same 'close your eyes and transport you to a world of tangy heaven' feeling! Stricnina is a super tart tropical passionfruit and fresh cassis, balanced by sweet peach and raspberry with a touch of rounding musk and vanilla. Epic longevity for a fruity fragrance. 5 stars - thank you Mr Terenzi.

erba pura??? are you serious? No!!! guys, believe me, no, they're like the sun and a pumpkin) soooo different erba pura is sweet vanilla with a fruit basket, dipped in musks. Stricnina is all about flowery sweetness over fruit(especially raspberries and peaches with only a hint of passion fruit) totally different perfumes. btw I've got both in full size!

You either hate or love it. I love it. With all the many notes, he was able to produce something this stunning. All have been said already so I’ll just ask you to sample this fruity scent for yourself. Between this and Erba Pura, I’ll choose this.

My first try with V Canto but won't be my last. The fruit notes stand out the most and blend together beautifully. I don't get cinnamon or amber or musk though. FB worthy!

Beautiful freshy fragrance. Something about this one is just so mesmerizing. Can't stop smelling myself when I wear it. The notes here are blended in a phenomenal way!

this perfume is slept on. Feminine, juicy, fruity sweet in a classy way. This one is long lasting it lingers! Compliment magnet for me.

The packaging and the bottle is so attracting. The fruity fragrance makes me feel romantic, fresh and sexy at the same time. Love it!

Nuclear fruit punch with eternal longevity. 💯 for women.

So I got me a full bottle of Stricnina on mecari for a pretty good deal. My bottle is 100% authentic and verified. With that being said, Stricnina is a passion fruit bomb. When I say passion fruit BOMB I mean it. You can smell a bit of the lemon and cassis, but I get straight passion fruit more than anything. I DO enjoy this fragrance, and I DO like it, but I can’t smell ANY of the other 20 notes in this juice. It’s a fruity/passionfruit/lemon bomb. I do like the dry down as well, but it’s just not what I thought it was by all these certain YouTubers that hype it up. I think Stricnina is perfect for the summer time if you love the smell of fruity fragrances. I don’t know what other people are saying when they say they can hardly smell it. Your samples are fake, or it’s a new batch reformulation, because Stricnina is loud! I was hoping I could smell the cinnamon, amber and vanilla in the dry down, but all I get is this very pleasant fruity tropical scent. Passion fruit. My husband likes this on me, and I do enjoy it, but you literally cannot smell anything else in this fragrance besides the passion fruit. The passion fruit is so loud and out front and it never really disappears at all. My advise is if you adore passion fruit, then you will love Stricnina. If you don’t like passion fruit, then stay away.

I've waited 3 years to get my hands on this. Hard to get sometimes here in Australia and often the mailing costs from overseas are just too high. This is a beautiful beautiful fruity perfume. One of few I actually like...however...as I let this dry down and settle I suddenly thought 'hang on a minute, I've bloody smelt this before!' So into my fragrance collection I go...holy crap, Jasmine Wisp (rassasi) and Confidential Gold (middle eastern frag)...so similar im now slapping myself. Oh the let down...this fragrance is literally redundant with those 2 frags. If i had realised, i wouldn't have bothered. They smell so close to each other. So dissapointed. 😥

Stricnina is a Kirkè, but toned down. The fruits in this fragrance are so-well balanced, and on my skin it smells like fresh fruit punch. The passion fruit booms from the first spray, and its feel doesn't fade. So far, it's the only V Canto which gave me a buzz and I'm here for it. The projection is just right, the vibe it gives is bright and pleasant, without the heavy peach shot that Kirkè presents. I think it dries down into a hand cream scent however, which might not be so appealing to others, but this is a lovely fragrance altogether, easy to wear for those into fruity buzzers.

Sadly my skin pulls the woody note which can smell like burnt tires at times. No Fruit, no sweet notes, no tropical... just burnt wood. Updated September 2024 - Fruity - deep - long lasting. More of a night / evening out, not everyday or office wear to me. This goes to show that fragrances should be worn multiple times to fully understand and appreciate.

Fruit, but done in a really classy way, balanced with musk and woody notes in the base. I don't usually gravitate to overly fruity scents, mostly because i find them tacky, but this one has a really good balance of citruses and sweet fruits, and the result is a clean, classy, fruity scent which unfortunately isn't too big on sillage or longevity.

This is good! A little fizzy and a lot sweet. The woody dry down rounds it out. I don’t think it’s linear and I like the changes. Because of the patchouli and woods I think it can be worn in the colder months. Very pretty. Definitely more feminine. Ok: no patchouli listed but my nose thinks it’s there in the background.

Hot and heavy fruity beautiful scent that dominates every room it enters. This is truly a peak perfume in niche perfumery in my opinion, it is just something so perfectly balanced. Very strong, and kind of mature. I am discovering mature fruity fragrances now, and I have noticed that this I love. I love this scent wholeheartedly, but I'm afraid it's a bit too mature for me regardless of it's playfulness. I will be adding this to my collection when I'm like 30

Extremely potent but not nauseatingly so like Kirke is. And yet this too smells entirely artificial. Nothing but shampoo/air freshener vibes. I didn't hate it, if I had to pick one perfume in that realm to wear all day it would be this one.

329 It’s like Kirke with less of the harsh wood note. Common-fruity candy smelling. I’ve smelled this similar type of scent from all $ ranges of perfume houses. 7/10-nothing wow, nothing terrible

With the bottle I have, I find this to be different from Kirke as the ends note was dark like a maple syrup. I prefer Kirke as it’s a brighter scent.

I was told Haramain is a dupe for Kirke. It is not. It is a spot on dupe for Stricnina

Oof! So, I did something dumb - OK... to the people who say I've done a lot of dumb things and will continue to do so unabated; you're right, but let's talk about just this one dumb thing for now... and blind bought this thinking it would be like Erba Pura. In short, no, no and no. Why not buy Erba Pura? Because I like the dupe art...copyca...excuse me, Paolo Terenzi's work. Stricnina is big on bright, sour, tropical fruit, raspberry, peach and fruit candies (read: the aroma of jolly ranchers) with abundant fresh cut flowers (rose, hibiscus) on a lithe, dry musky, woody base. To compare and contrast notes in similar fragrances, Stricnina emphasizes unripe, green and sour tropical fruit, dried berries and tons of heady florals versus erba pura which offers sweet, ripe macerated fruit like a fruit cocktail on a semi-sweet vanilla-ambery base while byredo pulp takes the fruit notes a step further with overripe fruit. I don't quite get the raspberry cheesecake other reviewers mention, this is too dry and tart to my nose and clearly avoids gourmand territory. Projection, sillage and longevity? I can't verify this, but I think this fragrance projected into the 5th dimension and it's aroma will haunt me the rest of my life. Yep, it's big n' loud with great performance; one that could get the "fragcomm frag bros" to utter beast mode every other breath or influencers to mention "gem, crown jewel or masterpiece" like a broken record. Joking aside, if you love decidedly feminine, heady and loud yet pretty fruity-floral fragrances then check this out.

So far, my only successful TT frag's are Cassiopeia and Boreo. I am one of the people who just can't do Paolo Terenzi's musk. What is that disgusting, foul, animalic musk they use? It just ruins everything, and he puts it in damn near all of his fragrances. Draco is ok and so far, I'm not getting it but I'm not too sure I even want it after my bad musk experiences with this brand. I look at all these notes and I'm just like yes, I'm here for it. Then I spray it and then, excuse me, but the best way to put it is, the most unappealing musk just comes to fart all over these beautiful fruit notes. It becomes bathroom spray someone sprays to cover up their stinky farts. I smell beautiful juicy fruits covering up a stinky bathroom and I just can't. So if you are one of the lucky ones who doesn't get the same musk experience as I do, you'll love Strictnina and I will sell you mine with the box included for a very fair price. USA $.

Sold this because I’ve learned that I despise the dreaded Cassis note and I hate the musk TT and PT uses. It just like they added cat piss to a beautiful fragrance and it “pisses” me off.

I am not into this scent profile, as I found out. If you a fan of Kirke, Erba Pura, and Dahab, perhaps this will work, but this is not for me.

Kirke DNA but toned down. Sweet synthetic fruity musky shampoo-y. This trend has to end at some point. I don't see this scent profile withstanding the test of time. With that being said, it is sweet and pleasant. Enjoy it while it last. Packaging is also top notch! But don't waste too much of your coins on this one. :) Update: Had to get rid of it. Literally made me ill. Sprayed 2 sprays today, got into car and wanted to puke. Reminded me of being in a cab with those cheap fruit/peach scented fresheners that always made me car sick. How could such a gorgeous bottle contain such below par juice?? What a waste...

I saw two YouTube reviewers say it was their most complimented fragrance, so I got a sample. I liked the first spray, and that's about where it ended. The initial fruitiness did not last -- and neither did the fragrance overall, to be honest. I've learned that I really don't like green notes in perfumes (I've just gotten to where I enjoy DG's Light Blue), and GREEN is what this dries down to on me. No sweet, no fruit, no projection. Just sharp, bitter green. I'm not giving up yet, though....going to let this sit for a couple of weeks and revisit it. I've had perfumes completely do a 180 after I've let them macerate, so we'll see whether my initial thoughts change after this "stews" for a while. UPDATE: This is one that has taken time to develop. The green was ALL I got in late June. It's now early September. Between then and now, I'd check on it every week or so. And every single time, I could smell more and more of the fruit coming through. It was like watching a fruit tree bear fruit each year! I got excited when I could finally smell the fruit in this, and I was finally actually able to not only wear it, but enjoy it! It took weeks for me to finally smell what this is supposed to portray. For fragrances that strike me oddly, particularly if they're really green, I'm learning to wait it out a bit. And in many cases, the true nature of the scent starts making its way out. Call it what you want -- or don't -- but there's something to it. It doesn't work for every fragrance, but I can absolutely vouch that it did for this and several others. This is a very pretty feminine, light -- without being weak in projection -- sweet and lightly powdery fruity scent. It's not one that I would buy a full bottle of, but it's pretty and I can say I enjoyed my journey of discovery with this.

When you first spray it there's a burst of sweet, tangy passionfruit and lemon. It's fruity but in a rich, sophisticated way. After a little while, it gets even better.The scent of ripe peach and raspberry comes out, mixed with a warm hint of cinnamon.It’s like a delicious, addictive candy. The best part is how it settles on the skin! The fruity sweetness remains but it mixes with cozy vanilla, clean musk, and warm woods. It becomes soft and sweet, yet also strong and noticeable. The longevity and projection are incredible! It's a true room-filler that leaves a gorgeous scent trail. I applied it this morning and I can still smell it on my sweater and I just love it ❤️ This isn’t a fragrance that whispers, it announces its presence and then lingers ❤️ This is the perfect fragrance for cold weather, a nice dinner out, a date night or any time you want to feel a little extra. It's sweet and seductive without being too much. Wearing it makes me feel a bit more powerful and mysterious, just like the woman who inspired it! ❤️

It's a YES for me! This is a feminine leaning fragrance in my opinion. Strictnina is beautiful and well balanced; for me, whilst there are sweet, fruity and candy notes - there lies ZERO juvenile undertone. This is grown up fruit and candy. The fruits are sweet, tropical and alluring...they add an exotic and mouthwatering element to Strictnina. At the same time, the cassis and green notes together, give off a sourness. This sweet, and sour, counteract each other and give the perfume balance. The candy note is present for me in some way throughout the whole wear. It makes things fun, yummy and addictive - but because of the green/sourness, along with the slight spice of cinnamon, the candy is balanced and remains interesting to the fragrance, without going to the "left" and becoming, childish to the fragrance. I do also get some florals, some slight soapy-ness, some musk...and some LIPSTICK (batting eyelashes) in the very late dry down. I'm glad to have Strictnina!!

Strincnina is a sweet, floral and fruity fragrance which mainly have peaches and raspberries and the passion fruit. This reminds me of Erba Pura which is sweet vanilla, fruity with the musk. This is a fruity scent that is realistic, natural and an intense punch of fruits like the Byredo Pulp. This fragrance takes me to another world that is full of fruits, flowers and all the freshness around. The feel from this is heavenly, fresh that does have eternal longevity and the enormous silage. Seductiveness in this scent is quite prominent probably due to the raspberries in it that too are way deep and mysterious. An alluring scent with an extremely amazing yet exquisite bottle and packaging. Presentation is superb, flavors and fragrance notes are rich. Heavenly in cold weather and I can literally smell this one on my clothes even after the wash. I am a fan of it now!!

I had to splurge on this, its a good thing this is an extrait de parfum, don't need a lot and its long-lasting, great sillage. Stricnina had people around me asking what smells so good. This scent seduced me and I don't regret it for one second. It's a tarte raspberry dessert but with so much depth. It has rich flavours of passionfruit, sweet and zesty.. raspberry and cassis is very dominant and brown sugar is present too. A few months after I ran out of my decant, I hallucinated its smell and that's when I knew I cannot live without it. The name stricnina (as the poison strychnine) is very fitting, indeed this scent is so alluring, I'm not able to resist it, my eyes roll back in satisfaction. V Canto has the most exquisite bottles and packaging I've ever come across.

Stricnina is Kuma! Not sure which one came first but Kuma was a Tiziana Terenzi Harrod’s exclusive that I blind bought and I immediately said this smells like something I already have and immediately said Stricnina grabbed my Stricnina did a side by side comparison and couldn’t tell the difference 😡 I spent $495 for Kuma and only spent $140 for Stricnina. I guess their V Canto line mimics the higher end TT for a cheaper price. Fragrantica notes are the same except Stricnina has the peach note. I love the scent profile for sure just hate I spent that much for Kuma! This one doesn’t have the hard musky intolerable notes that they use. I wish they would reformulate that hard musk I can’t take it. It ruined Kirke for me. I like Cassiopeia too doesn’t have that harsh musk.

Love it. It is like perceiving a passionfruit tisane, with a fruity-tart candy base note and a little bit of vanilla. Amazingly it is not girly not even childish, it has something that reminds to fall season. It is cozy, fruity, tart , sophisticated and long lasting. It is hard to find a fruity perfume with good longevity, and this baby has everything for fruity-perfume lovers. The bottle is really beautiful and sexy, the Velvet touch , that red color and the Golden details are just provocative. This perfume is the best to use during a date, both for men and women, it reminds me a tasty dessert with a fresh and warm passionfruit tisane. So baby if you are hungry, your dessert is waiting between the covers.

Most exquisite packaging and the bottle I came across since long. So, this lovely bottle attracted me and when I sniffed it. All I could smell was lemon, passionfruit, cassis and bergamot which settled then to floral and green notes. Finally, the dry down is woody, amber, musk and vanilla. Silage is great, longevity is long lasting and mind it, you are going to get many compliments while wearing it. This makes me feel seductive, romantic, intense and fresh at the same time. Tropical juices of this scent offer heavenly feel to me. East or west, strincnina is the best.

Intant LOVE!! Raspberry cheesecake, whipped cream with tart peach syrup. Beautiful, delicious, feminine. Cannot see this as unisex. Only (yet) inexperienced nose can smell it as similar to Erba Pura. Stricnina is way sweeter, creamier, less synthetic, less woody-oudy, while Erba Pura is colder, more metallic, more sour. If Erba Pura is teal, Stricnina is fuchsia. I love both, but will take a full bottle of Stricnina without hesitating.

Outstanding quality for the price. I find calling Terenzi a dupe master is unfair! Perfumers just like designers are getting inspired from each other. There are thousands of fragrances inspired from each other. For example Initio... half of their stuff smells like Tom Ford mixed with MFK, and Tauer. Terenzi makes his version of other scents, and they have an excellent quality!

V Canto Stricnina opens with a burst of juicy peach, immediately softened by a sheer, soapy musky accord. Marketed as unisex, it wears unapologetically feminine on me. The peach dominates from start to finish - sweet, candied, almost too plain. I had hoped for twist, but the scent stays linear, gentle, and disappears faster than expected.

Love this! It’s not a dupe, or copy of Herba Pura! Yes it has same style, clean shampooe vibes. Stricnina has very prominent raspberry note. Erba Pura is similar to Kirke, Nishane Hundred Silent Ways, Casiopea, Britney Spiears midnight fantasy( disgusting chemical weapon). Stricnina is not a skin scent! Has moderate silage, and longevity

Challenging! I have Mirabele as well. The passion fruit makes its entry early and never exits to my nose. There is a tropical fruit vibe! I overpaid for this so I keep pulling it out! Honestly, I can’t pull out any individual note besides passion fruit, if you love that this is the one for you!

I love love love this. V canto is becoming one of my favs. This smells like a sweet juicy tropical juice. As it settles it still has the fruitiness with the deep sweet vanilla and soft florals. Serious juice. And it projects! Lasts probably 6hrs

This Christmas, my boyfriend gifted me this amazing beauty. Later, I got to know he gifted this to me because he himself love this scent a lot and want this fragrance to remain around him all the time. With this, he hinted me to marry him

This is like a whisper on my skin. A pleasant, perfumey, musk. The cinnamon is tastefully done. It lasts quite a while but the projection is minimal on my skin. I'd love this scent profile with a stronger performance.

It’s reminding me of those blistex fruit smoothies lip balms I was obsessed with in elementary school specifically the purple one.
