Behind The Seen

Give me all of the perfumes that have that luxury woody spa scent. This reminds me a lot of Tam Dao, which is probably one of my favorite scents. Clean, woodsy, and spa like. This is not a sweet perfume. It is more medicinal, earthy, and woodsy. Probably not everyone’s cup o’ tea, but if you like Tam Dao, this would probably be a fragrance you’ll like as well.

I didn't get any turmeric or hazelnut when I tried out Behind the Seen, which was disappointing. For some reason a lot of Valentino perfumes have the same lingering smell of hairspray to them, and that was the primary scent in the opening and first few hours of the dry down in this perfume. Maybe that's just how my nose perceives vetiver in Valentino... About 6-7 hours in I started getting a mildly sweet, vanilla-y note, though I don't know where that came from. Regardless, this perfume doesn't smell /bad/ by any means... it's just a bit bland and generic. Temps were upper 40's to low 50's, so I'll try again in the summer once it's warmer and see if that changes anything.

Very sweet orris and hazelnut scent, it feels like chocolate, very similar to Dolce Passione, even though there is no chocolate in the notes. I think is an ok scent, it doesn't have the dirty note I get from Dolce Passione. It evaporates very fast and is a skin scent in just a few minutes with almost zero projection. A sample is more than enough for me.

Vetiver and hazelnut. Turmeric on top. That's all. not sweet as much as the edible flavor of hazelnut. just dry and sweet.
