Born in Roma Extradose Uomo

Just got my bottle in and man this is very nice. It’s closer to Born in Roma Intense (specifically the lavender) but without the vanilla and it’s a touch fresher and seems smoother and more refined. In my opinion this combines the best of the original EDT and the Intense, not too sweet and a bit spicy. It smells just amazing in the air and this stuff will grab attention. If you’re a fan of the line then this is worth picking up, otherwise if you have the original or the Intense then you can skip this. This does seem to have an extra dose of longevity as it lasts longer than the others. The versatility seems good for year round wear, and while It’s still sweet it has less of the “bubblegum” vibe going on to my nose. It’s more grown up than the other two but it’s still a very playful and sexy scent that anybody should enjoy smelling on you 😈 Loving this stuff so far 😍

If you like strong, amped-up designer-style lavender, and are a fan of the others in this line, you'll probably like this. This one is definitely being manipulated with an 'extra dose' of some performance-enhancing synthetics, and the results (from a performance perspective , anyway) are astounding. This easily bests BIR Intense. I won't go so far as to say that it isn't redundant, because lets face it. No one needs more than one of this style of fragrance unless they are a collector or avid fan of the house/line. If you are looking at the BIR line as a whole, trying to decide on just one, this is a worthy candidate. Performance-wise, this is the best they've made so far. I know, I own or have owned all of them (save for one or two that sucked). None are particularly 'mature'. Having said that, The fragrance doesn't age the wearer, the wearer ages the fragrance.

Stars of very spicy, ginger is the easiest to pick among those spices but I detect nutmeg and small amounts of cinnamon and cloves. The smell quickly mixed with the Lavender and composition shifts to a sweet, smooth, aromatic side. I smell rum facets hidden in somewhere. It is not too linear, has some depth within it and it is differet from the others in the line. Yes, closets to Intense version (which I hate) but without the vanilla note, more masculine and less bublegum-syrupy sweet. So far my favorite release of 2025, I normally do not care about the bottle but it looks AMAZING. Performance is very strong, lasts 10 hours easily and projects great. Reminds me of a less sweet and less spicy The Scent Elixir. I think I'll add this to collection, even though I promised myself I won't add any designers anymore.

Versatile, attention-grabbing, sweet, hot, and romantic. This is an all-in-one scent, with only positives. Especially if you are under the age of 17, this a great fragrance; as it isn't super mature, but it also has a masculine and sexy tint to it. If you are in high school, this is perfect for a daily wear. I got so many compliments with this but it also isn't hedache causing, and is perfecr for all weather, temperatures and occasions, especially detention! Compliments - (if you're handsome ;) ), expect quite a few! Performance + Longevity - Lasts the whole school day, 9-12 hours, with great projection, even from 7-10ft away. Spray amount - No more than 7. Ideal around 5-6. "Is this a good signature scent?" - Yes, literally just perfect. "This or intense" - This, all day.

Nose note #27: Note: Review from a 2 mL test sample, not the full bottle. This is so good. Prominent spicy lavender from the opening, followed by a little touch of vanilla that appears a bit later. Pretty much a lineal but fine fragrance, reaching first place in the Valentino Bir line. I feel like this is a gentlemanly but sexy scent, perfect for 20-30 yo. adults and some night dates. The fragrance performs pretty decently and has a nice sillage, which is expected given the oil concentration. The perfect time to wear it would be in autumn or winter, especially at night, given the nature of the fragrance. The bottle is fine, but not surprisingly, the packaging sucks, just like almost all designer fragrances. Price: Gift from the store Rate: 8.5/10

I’ve had this one for about a month now and I’m really enjoying it. It sits in a similar lane to Born in Roma Intense but with less vanilla and more woods, giving it a slightly more masculine and mature edge. It’s still sweet, just not as creamy, and the added woods really help balance it out. This one is very loud. Projection and sillage are strong for the first two hours, then it slowly pulls closer to the skin. Total longevity for me is around eight hours, which is solid. Even though it leans more mature than the other Born in Roma releases, I’d still call it youthful and playful. It’s a fun, sweet scent that works great for going out or anytime you want something attention grabbing and enjoyable.

Just got this one in, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s basically the Intense version with the vanilla toned down and a bit more woods in the base. I’d say it’s a touch stronger overall and lasts about an hour longer than Intense. I got around 8 hours of total longevity with about 2 hours of solid projection. Not quite beast mode, but it could easily fill a room if you overspray. There are some added spices in this version that give it a nice edge, and the reduced sweetness makes it a little more refined and mature—definitely better suited for someone my age. Overall, a very pleasant, classy take on the Born in Roma DNA.

Perfect date night, evening lounge, or autumn/winter scent. Scent is a nice blast of aromatic fall incense/spices balanced by creamy lavender lotion and slight wood. Leans masculine due to the level of spice and warmth, but it’s not musky or overly woodsy at all. If you want to smell sexy/seductive but also not overly sweet or musky, this is the one. Wife goes nuts for it on an evening out. The vibe of this scent is like you walked into a high roller cocktail lounge in Vegas in a black suit with a playful lavender pocket square. Sexy, playful, sophisticated but with some edge.

Just bought it today I have the BIR intense and this is basically the same fragrance just stronger. A lot heavier on the lavender but I'm not mad at it at all. I was running low on the BIR Intense and I never really got great performance out of it. It pretty much turned into a skin scent right away. But this one projects like a beast and is the head turner so far I was hoping the intense would be. Definitely a safe blind buy and to me a year round fragrance. Although I probably wouldn't wear it on a super hot day I can see it becoming a bit cloying in super hot heat.

Me and my girl are ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS SCENT OHHHHHHH MMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYY LLORDDDDDDDDDDDD, never buy it retail btw, BUTT OH YEAHHHHHHH. Its a very nice lavender and woody scent, its floral but still very masculine but it is pretty strong so if you like airing out classrooms this is def the right stuff for you, I have gotten so many compliments and it lasts a very long time but not too long where you don't like it. Very much a date night fragrance, if you want a everyday fragrance try coral fantasy or BIR intense. 8.5/10

Don’t know why there’s so many negative reviews; this fragrance is great. It’s an everyday or special occasion fragrance that’s very lavender-heavy, a bit woody, and a little bubblegummy, much like the intense, but less sweet and more polished + dark. I was expecting it to be very spicy, mature, and ultra-masculine smelling, but I don’t really get too much of that. Overall, It’s nothing SUPER unique but I absolutely love the smell and the longevity of it. It’s a 10/10 for me, but you either probably love it or hate it.

By far my favorite offering from the BIR line and the most versatile for sure. It feels like the bigger brother to the intense version, making it a little less synthetic and a touch more mature. It’s got a hell of a lot of staying power and is a very pleasant aromatic mix of lavender, spices and wood. It has a touch of sweetness while mixing with the spices and woodsy notes to keep it playful while still being classy. A very well made men’s fragrance for all occasions in my mind. 8.5/10

performance is insane, compliment factor (for me) has been very good. i think this is close to azzaro tmw (the one with the all black bottle) which is very attractive dna. i try using this only on dates and to work when im feeling good and is perfect for both, its cloying but it’s not headache inducing, its addictive smelling. lots of compliments specially women. this is one of my all time favorites. longetivity: 10/10 sillage: 9/10 versatility: 8.5/10 price for buck: 7/10 ovr: 8.8/10

Been my favourite fragrance for a while. I love the 'warmth' I get from it, during the entire longevity. I actually struggle to pick out specific notes within it, which also goes for other Valentino frags too, but I would describe this as a warm, spicy, slightly metallic (but in a good; somewhat sweet way) fragrance. It's one of those fragrances I always spray on the back of my hand so I can easily catch a whiff every now and then throughout it's entire lifespan, it's that addictive.

I’m firmly on the side of love with Born in Roma Extradose! The spices create a warmth that balance everything out beautifully into a very sexy, alluring fragrance that isn’t overly sweet. You can smell the quality of the ingredients, it’s a more mature take on Born in Roma Intense. Extradose hits the sweet spot perfectly and ticks all the right boxes. 3-4 sprays and performance is stellar across the board; easily lasts 12+ hours. Picking up a backup bottle this week. 11/10. 🔥

Born in Roma = Charmander Born in Roma Intense = Charmeleon Born in Roma Extradose = Charizard I already have BiR Intense so it might be redundant to buy this one as well but if I didn’t I would buy this without hesitation. It’s a deeper, more mature version of BiR Intense. It sits a little closer to the skin and isn’t as “loud” but still performs really well and feels like it’s better suited for colder weather. If you like lavender you’ll love this. 9.25/10 designer fragrance

got this for myself on my birthday dont regret it, will wear it all winter and autumn maybe even early spring if it lasts that much. i could only afford 50 ml one with the money i have. my collection is progressing slowly but surely. this piece is my first valentino fragrance and i think this one is an amazing start. dont have all of the valentinos in my country but everything seems to be good with this one. love the lavender smell like i loved in dior sauvage elixir.

Vanilla in the original Born In Roma intense gives a sharp sweetness which might not be that alluring to some people including myself. Here though, the sweetness is present but is more 'viscous'. Same reason why I like LMLE absolu over the original. When first sprayed, Born in roma intense and extradose are very similar but as time passes the above mentioned difference becomes evident. Extradose moves towards a woody sweet drydown. This fragrance is good.

Amazing ride throughout the day. Spray this in the morning, you get fresh, spicy floral scent. Throughout the day, it gets warmer. Night comes and it’s woody, smooth, leathery tobacco. It transforms with the time and it is always going to be time appropriate if you sprayed during daytime. Ironically this my fragrance that has the least listed notes on Fragrantica, but the most layers and character of them all.

Valentino extradose lands very well on that lavender note and almost has a mint scent lingering of the end of that lavender backed by a very noticeable spice. I personally don’t care for that mint that I’m picking up on it but overall a very nice fragrance, silage and projection are both strong and this is definitely something your younger 16-25 age range would wear and is safe for all occasions

Look, incredible. Definitely not a scent you’ll smell often on others and is very different from the EDT. It’s a mix of coral and the edt, but only the better part of coral. I absolutely love this fragrance. It’ll smell the same all day. The longevity for me is 10 hours with great projection and then skin for another 10. Need to grab another 2 bottles wow. Very impressive.

This is BIR Intense with more density, sillage, and longevity. Its slightly less sweet but this is what I thought Id be buying when I hear the word " intense" in the name. When my bottle of BIR Intense is out ( not too far off since I overspray it to make it last 10 hours ) I will be moving on to this. This is the better version of the two if you like this scent profile

@chart1931 I own both, this and Rockstud noir. They are fairly similar, but they are also different. Rockstud noir is softer, fresher, more airy. It kinda smells like a freshly dried and cleaned blanket. It smells a little bit like the ocean. This is definitely darker and spicier, also more sweet. This is more of a seductive date night-ish scent compared to Rockstud.

10/10 lasts over 9 hours on my skin. I can even smell it very faintly for up to 16 hours. Huge compliment getter for me, bought it last week and already gotten 3 compliments. I also bought a dupe (Bharara Rome Extradose) to use on the daily and the dry down is like 95% similar to this. Love the scent profile even tho I understand some people might not like it.

First thoughts, this is going to be one of the best releases this year. This is a really nice salty, lavender, and floral scent IMO. i didnt test the sillage nor the longevity but the smell is really amazing. The only flaw is that i dont think its worth the price. 165 for a 4.2 and 130 for a 1.7? i like the scent and all but thats the only thing bad about it.

Lavender designer done right. You can easily brush this off as another designer release. Or you can really sit down with this and appreciate how well blended and smooth this really is. It’s not got that sickly sweet sugary vanilla undertone that you find in other releases. Just the right amount of spice too. To me this is the epitome of designer fragrances.

I am surprised to be unable to see The Scent Elixir is the reminds me of part. They are very, very similar but Valentino is much more focused on lavender and a bit sweeter but The Scent is more spicy-forward and less sweet. Performance is great, very great but this feels redundant as a person who owns The Scent Elixir or any other from the BIR line.

I actually like this scent, and although some may not, I love the lavender note. This is a great winter fragrance, with great longevity. Solid for special occasions to. Although I like this fragrance, I would prefer the intense version or coral fantasy. I wear this fragrance as my winter fragrance and this is a moderate complement getter.

Not super spicy just right, opening is a blast of lavender that one would smell in hand lotion. This is a mix of edt and intense with out the vanilla to lean it more masculine, also a scent called vetiver that comes across as more like hay than wood. I never bought the intense as it comes across more feminine. Will be buying this one.

this is actually underrated, only 3 notes and still somehow better than the others. The lavender note does smell a bit synthetic on my skin, it still is good. Probably better than coral fantasy if I’m being honest, the only problem is you do know how to apply otherwise you’re posing a threat to someone who has a sensitive nose

I think this is a very classy fragrance. Compared to Born in Roma Intense, it offers a more casual, everyday wear and feels versatile enough to use in any setting. It delivers both freshness and attractiveness at the same time, and the quality is truly outstanding. This has definitely become my new favorite.

Smells very similar to the intense, It has very good silage and amazing performance on my skin. I can’t lie, the dry down kinda smells like one of the pink frosted cookies from walmart 😭. It is a very good cologne imo and i love it for the winter and I think it’s perfect for summer nights.

The only flanker from the BIR line that made me come back 2 hours later to purchase after smelling at Ulta. Very sexy - slightly reminds me of stronger w/ you intensely - longevity on this is insane. Smell before you buy - price is high at $165 but it does perform great

Very similar to Born in Roma Intense but less sweet more spicy. The lavender is heavy. The longevity seems to be excellent but I can’t judge projection/sillage. Will probably test it again with a decant to judge every aspect but so far it’s a pleasant surprise.

really beautiful scent. a sweet, spicy, and woody cologne that isn't overpowering. a few sprays go a long way. the dry down is a wonderfully soft lavender and spice. compliment magnet, just got to work and already had multiple people ask me what i'm wearing lol

Born in Roma Intense, but less bubblegum sweet and more “syrupy” like invictus victory elixir, stronger with you absolutely, and 1 million elixir. Some light spices in the background. Should have just called it Born in Roma Elixir.

This is ridiculously addicting. I like the BIR Intense version for context as these two are pretty similar but this one I just keep smelling again and again. The right kind of sweet with spices and woods and freshness from lavender

Basically they took the power and lavender from the intence, and turned it up a notch leaning more spicy than the sweet we are used too. Still somewhat sweet. It's very well done and perfect for dates and winter wear. 7.5/10

Amazing for colder weather. Sweet bubblegum in the opening and once it dries down, you get some spicy and woody notes. Lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. This is one of the only perfumes that actually got me compliments!!!

I like this stuff quite a bit. Best performance out of any of the BIRs. Balances the sweetness of the line with some warmth very nicely. All you can smell around you for the first four hours of wear. 8.8/10

Very confusing opening,smells citrusy except there is none,after 2-3 hours smell like choco praline and cherry combined,good projection and longevity(7+ hours),good for partying and going out/date night.

One of the best fall/winter fragrances ever created. Really strong projecting woodsy lavender, if you dont like lavender its probably not for you - but if you do its one of the best on the market.

This is my favorite fragrance at the moment. It smells so freaking good. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist with this one. I’m gonna be wearing the crap out of this this fall in winter for sure.

Phenomenal scent. Very warm and comforting with amazing performance. I sprayed it three days ago and I can still smell it on my clothes and it's just as strong as it was when I applied it.

Essentially this is BIR Intense but spicy and less sweet. Smells amazing with Lavender, spices and wood and a subtle sweetness. Different enough from BIR Intense to justify the purchase.

VERY STRONG lavender, synthethic if you put your nose to it. Beautiful scent, I sprayed a little on my arm and I could catch whiffs of it for hours... I will buy it when price gets lower

I had both BIR edt and BIR Intense and I still prefer this just because its stronger and smells better in the air. A perfect all year around fragrance with 12 hours longevity. 9,5/10

Absolutely love this stuff. Easily the best Valentino in my opinion and beast mode. More a autumn winter and evening scent. A major compliment getter. Can't recommend highly enough.
