Valentina Rosa Assoluto – I had been lusting for this for a while and finally found a US distributor, beautyspin.com...so I finally scored this and it is amazing! Valentina Rosa is sublime. Painting the roses red but I think they were already a beautiful golden color to begin with. Rose is the star in the magnificent fragrance with saffron serving as the best supporting note delivering its warm spicy aspect. Valentina Rosa is a little less spicy and a little bit less dark than the Oud Assoluto version. Yes this version has praline and raspberries but don’t dismiss this as a fluff type of scent just because of it. Valentina Rosa is a warm oriental rose scent that is elegant, sophisticated with a modern feel. Strong sillage and fabulously long lasting. Ps. Quite suitable scent for men as well.

It's delicious.....it's delightful.....it's beautiful......and the bottle!!!!!! What a fantastically gorgeous bottle! The colour!!!!! Oh my goodness. The whole thing is beyond superb! Rose, patchouli, delicious praline!!! Rich and strong. Glorious!!!!!!!

It was as if I was stepping into a new world, leaving behind the simpler fragrances I had worn until then. At the time, I was in my early twenties, just beginning my professional career. I had recently secured my first real job and was beginning to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in my achievements. I started to feel the pull of bold choices—dressing a little more confidently, trying new styles, and, of course, experimenting with different fragrances. This was a time when many of the girls around me were still wearing classic, crowd-pleasing scents like Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf, CK One, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, and Aqua di Gioia. These were the safe choices, the popular fragrances that signaled a certain kind of femininity—sweet, light, and effortlessly approachable. But among these mainstream florals, there was also a shift towards more complex, deeper rose fragrances. Fragrances like Lancôme's Oud Bouquet, Yves Saint Laurent's Parisienne, and Chloé's Roses de Chloé began to rise in popularity—fragrances with a distinctive woody or oriental base, often underpinned by the richness of patchouli or oud. Recieved this today, as a birthday gift for myself. Lovely! At first, I thought it was quite strong. But it mellows. It is kind of oriental, but I can’t describe what the oriental thing is? It contains saffron, but I don’t feel that very much. At first, I don’t feel the roses a lot, but it becomes more and more rosy. Some sweetness, but not much. A deep fragrance, but not very dark after all. To my surprise, it is getting a little soapy after maybe an hour or so. In a nice way. I feel, that I have to start with just a little spray between the wrists, not more - or else I’m afraid to scare people off. It is better to respray after a couple of hours rather than use too much at once. At least for me. I am very pleased with this beautiful fragrance for the fall and winter! It takes some thinking and reflecting to quite read it, I think. I’m curious about the Myrrh Assoluto as well, sometime in the future, maybe the Oud Assoluto, and I definitely want the Valentina Poudre. Maybe next year? I will still be searching for the deep dark, but sweet and jammy, sexy - and I guess musky - rose perfume of my dreams, like the cheap but wonderful dark red bottle of an unknown brand, that I bought in my late teens. It’s finished since long, but I have kept the bottle and it smells wonderful. But I find many other beauties on the way... 😊 EDIT; the next day: still lovely, but I have degraded it from a love to a like, since I percieve the fragrance as more of a soapy rose than the dark, sensual rose fragrance I am looking for. Like I said, I’m still pleased with this, for what it is.

I have now found out, after using this for a week, that I really don’t like it that much, unfortunately. It is kind of dark, which I like (I was searching for a deep dark rose!) but it also has something sharp and something even sour. For the people who are afraid of rose, I can imagine that notes like that may be what is offputting. When I’m really in the right mood, I can for sure use this. I can layer it with something sweeter, or with some lovely civet perfume - like Shalimar or my beloved Joop! Femme, which is a strange perfume but has become one of my addictive fragrances, using it on its own OR for saving the sharpies, making them rounder. Or: if one of my friends would like this; they can have it. I don’t know if I have any that kind of fragheads among my friends, though... Good for me today: this particular day seems to be a day when I’m in the mood for this. Will watch Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows, or Outlander. Lighting candles, drinking strong tea, and looking at the grey sky outside my window in my old apartment at the third floor in the middle of the town. Will probably turn to rain. Happy that I don’t have to go out today.

At one point, I was quite irritated at myself because I blind bought this in the hope of finding my dream dark sexy rose. Because it was not, in my opinion. I thought it to be too sharp and cold, despite the sweetness that is also there. I was even prepared to sell it. But now, I have found the perfect and most wonderful way to layer it! I put Juliette Has A Gun Mmmm on top of it. So so lovely!!! If you want to do like me: look at the notes of both these fragrances - and see how well they complement eachother. They both have raspberry. In this one, I even think I can sense some geranium - maybe that is not the case - maybe what I feel is the saffron. Anyway - I think both fragrances bring out the best in eachother! I love JHAG Mmmm on its own as well, but then it is more of a playful gourmand. Together, they become the most beautiful and romantic scent ever. Still not that dark and sexy boudoir scent I was looking for from the beginning - but that will be another story. I am happy!! 😃

Rosa Assoluto's perfume delivers what the bottle promises. Pink roses, but not a dainty pretty pink. This rose, very clearly of the taif variety, is a dense, dark magenta. Taif rose smells very different than other varieties, with a nearly candied-geranium scent. This rose is the star of the show, orbited by a constellation of bright and tart raspberry and sparkling, chewy orange blossom. Occasionally I can pick out a pinch of leather saffron, which brights texture to an otherwise very sweet perfume. Despite being absent in the notes, I detect a whiff of cotton candy. The drydown brings out soft, mellow patchouli and praline. They're very muted, but do bring a grounding warmth to Rosa Assoluto. The end result is a delicious, but not gourmand, floral cocktail, with a strong emphasis on taif rose.I worried that Rosa Assoluto would be too one-dimensional or sugary, but that never happens here.

A great perfume. Rose is mixed with praline and raspberry and I also detect a slight presence of saffron😍. It is not reminiscent of religious places. It is quite modern and sexy and comforting as well. با اینکه از رز در عطرها خوشم نمیاد، ولی این عطر یک شاهکار به تمام معناست. در اینجا، رز متفاوتی رو شاهد هستیم.. گل رز در این عطر به زیبایی با پرالین، تمشک و زعفران ترکیب شده و یک رایحه فوق‌العاده جذاب،سکسی، مدرن و در عین حال آرامش دهنده رو به ارمغان آورده که به هیچ وجه حالت مذهبی یا دم حرمی نداره. اينقدر عطر زیبایی هست که حتی در روزهای گرم تابستان هم از‌ش استفاده میکنم و ازش خسته نمیشم، اما بهترین فصل برای استفاده از این عطر، پاییز و زمستان میتونه باشه و اوایل بهار که هوا خنک هست. پخش و ماندگاری متوسط به بالا، اما رایحه باکیفیت و خوش ساخت از یک برند با اصالت.

And the rose arose in the Valentina line. Good. Opaque rosy jam, with milk chocolate grated over it, slowly melting after meeting the sun with the later lull of sweet, vanillic-woods. Not "noir" not "dark" but it hasn't much light cracking through it either. The flushes of hot pink remind me more of the fuchsia ribbons of the Henri Matisse roses that look adorably like the roses Alice is caught slapping red paint over. And there she is, sitting next to them eating a red velvet cake. Likes.

This is extremely woody on me. From start to end. I smell raspberry and some patchouli. Barely any rose. If i didn't see the notes or knew the name, i wouldn't have guessed it is a rose perfume. I quite like it though. To me it has a VERY oriental feel. It has some sweetness, from raspberry i guess, but otherwise very dry, almost incense-y, and woody.

I was looking for a powdery perfume when I decided to get this one. It's a rich scent that becomes even better after incense بخور / دخون it is very long lasting and only suitable at night time, especially during winter. You'll smell it on you the whole time and people will ask you about it. Goes well with Roses Musk from Montale.

This one gave me a headache and that NEVER happens. It turns out that I really don't like saffron. It's the same note that turns me off of Agent Provocateur. I honestly can't smell much past the saffron...I do get hints of some woody notes every now and then. Honestly I wish I could smell the rose, but to me this fragrance smells very leathery or rubbery. Even my 6 year old said it smelled like a tire, I guess she has inherited my dislike for the scent of saffron. I blind bought 2.7 oz of this stuff *sigh*....please don't be like me. lol Get a sample of it first.

It's a completely rose based fragrance . Those who know the smell of taif rose ,they can understand it's smell. Actually here taif rose is the prominent note. I also get saffron and patchouli. This is a floral-woody-powdery fragrance. At First I get the floral notes , then I get Woody notes and then powdery smell. Definitely I didn't find orange blossom and caramelized almond. This is for them who loves taif rose in fragrances. Patchouli has a very small role in this scent. I find it only in the dry down and that's for a very short time. So I will suggest those ladies who like rose based scent on them and to those guys who love rose on their ladies. I think it will attract both men and woman. There rose is very dark and intense. It stays on me for 8-9 hours for first 2-2.5hours strong projection and then it becomes moderate and then 2 hours it becomes skin scent. This is more preferable for winter time . if ur looking for a smokey/woody rose scent well this is heaven for those who want the dark side of rose :) it has good staying power - i sprayed it on about 3 hrs ago & i can still smell it :) its definitely a rose scent but dark & mysterious......it also has a woodiness to it which makes it an earthy rose - i also mentioned smokey well i always see & hear that term in the fragrance world & im just never sure what smokey smells like lol - i hear smokey & think cigarettes/BBQ smoke lol soooo for perfume im never sure what people mean lol but with this scent i think maybe smokey fits - or well at least my "perfume version " of smokey not the cigarette/BBQ version lol if u like rose & like dark scents check this out :) plus i love this bottle design - i have all the valentinas & they look so pretty & colorful on display :)

THIS perfume is so hard to describe, it is Definitly sweet but has something sharp which makes it edgy and Smokey, it has a spicy base background but nothing overwhelming, it is elegant not for day to day!! Weirdly I will say I love it! Not a safe blind buy, not everybody’s type of scent! Edit: I guess the answer of my question is Saffron, the more I wear it the more I feel the Saffron loud and clear; I find it a mix of saffron and a jammy rose! not the best offer in the market, I believe you can find a better options out there with a better price, but for me still happy to have it!

not for faint hearts for sure! Don't be fooled by the appearance. It's a very strong perfume for stark females/ or even males who adore rose+patchouli combination. It starts with pure rose which may be misleading, as soon it changes to a dark warm spicy fragrance which can be even unisex. To me it smells like a mixture of lancome magnifique and eaudemoiselle ambre velours, but it is not exactly like any of them.it is not woody like the first/ neither balmy like the former. By the way, whatever it is it has a strong aroma to my nose and the sillage is definitely good on my skin.

Deep dark rose. I get no sweetness , just taif rose and saffron. The scent is not for me. I’ve started getting into rose scents about a year ago , before that Rose fragrance were a big no for me. I realise i only like sweet/gourmand jammy rose scents. Also saffron is a note i struggle with. I get why this was discontinued. It’s definitely out of the box for a designer fragrance, and i like Valentino for doing that. Longevity is great , overal a good scent if you’re into these types of rose scents.

Mixed feelings here. Its not bad, yet... First of all, behind praline and raspberry with patch the rose is invisible. Where all those buds, Bulgarian and Taif with Centifolia?..Praline is rather loud and flat, holds strong, because of oud, it masks rose tonality unmercifully, like by plasticine. Saffron is a great note, along with rose, but even saffron can not dissolve and separate, what is been done so heavily. I would call it heavy gourmand with patch. Oriental for sure, but not for me.

Oh that is GORGEOUS, DIVINE! Outstanding deep dark and rich rose. Not a freshly cut rose. No: it's a feminine, strong and mysterious red rose with praline, and wood notes in the background. Happily, finally a rose scent without an overpowering oud! It is warm, sweet, deep, rich and dark. LOVE it! the best deep rose I have come across, and let me tell you, I have tried soooo many!!

Just got this, a very sweet rose perfume but not sickly. Although i can smell the woodsy notes they are very subtle and the praline is more noticeable. For me this is a very feminine perfume and very pleasant to the senses. Seems to have limited sillage and cant comment on longevity yet!
