Valentino Donna Born In Roma Intense

This has replaced the original Born in Roma as my number one top favorite scent of all time!!! I'm not surprised because it is everything I love about the original on first spray (black currant, bergamot, jasmine, bourbon vanilla) but then it's amped up in a way and introduces some new scent notes that really take it to the next level. I do think this one still has that spicy-ness the original had but even more so, which is funny because there's no longer a pink pepper note, (could be the bourbon, amber and benzoin mix??) and that to me has always added to the uniqueness of this deep sweet sexy mysterious fragrance. As this dries down on my skin it gets super sweet, the vanilla they amped up is DEFINITELY amped up, and the mix of the benzoin resin and ambery warmth together make for this INTENSE sweetness. I love it sooo much because I am a sweet lover. I do not get coconut, but it does remind me of the vanilla from the nest madagascar vanilla fragrance oil (which also has coconut 😅, but I'm speaking more on the sweet woody vanilla in that oil, which dries down also to a sweetened vanilla on me) The black currant somehow disappears on dry down and I'm left with the amber, vanilla, and benzoin. It's a deep sweetness that is so intoxicating I could wear it forever 🥰 There is nothing they could have done to make this scent more perfect. Sillage and longevity is moderate/heavy IF YOU SPRAY A TON like I do. I want everyone to be able to enjoy this amazingly sweet, super sexy modern fragrance. It's a for lifer for me, and most definitely my signature scent (the scent I am known by/for) even though I don't wear it everyday because I have a massive amount of fragrances. Just like it's counterpart which I was wearing no matter the time of year, time of day, season, clothing, event, this is a year rounder for me because again I love it and think its suitable for everything for me. I can dress this up or down, its casual, it's enticing for date night, it's professional for work, it's stunning for a special occasion, it's wowing for a first time meet up. It's EVERYTHING!!! BTW This with the Nest madagascar vanilla oil is 👩🏾🍳💋

By far one of the most exciting (to me) releases for 2023. When I saw this was coming I got SO pumped. I was a bit shell shocked at the $160+ price tag for the larger bottle however thankfully the website had the smaller sizes for offering. They however did not when I went to buy have the 1oz in stock. So I got the 1.7 oz and a free travel spray. Donna Born In Roma is one of my faves - in 21/22 it was a staple. I tore through a 1.7 oz bottle and a 15ml travel spray. I now have a 3.4oz bottle. It’s that good. It’s a staple of a jasmine vanilla and cashmere scent for me. The most intoxicating smell and wears beautifully on my skin. However the longevity on DBIR never was amazing. Now we have Donna INTENSE. THIS 😳🔥😮💨 this lit me up. The first spray is a STRONG blast of vanilla and spice. The donna dna is there however it’s grown up. It’s spicy. It’s rich and rummy. The vanilla flavor is amped. The benzoin and jasmine mix and make an almost tropical spicy mango vibe. DBIR Intense is a very bold spicy combo giving you just enough donna and enough new notes to be unique. This instantly reminded me of Mugler - Alien Goddess INTENSE. Both have that amber vanilla spice. There is also very similar vibes to the new FAME by Paco Rabanne and VERY similar fruity spicy vibes of JPG - La Belle and La Belle Le Parfum. The notes don’t say there is any coconut or tropical notes however I get a coconut almost. A bit of a topical mango. Vanilla. Benzoin and jasmine. This is absolutely a beast mode scent. I over sprayed and damn near died. This will choke you OUT. Silage is massive. Wearability - skin 7/10 soft spicy vanilla. Clothing 10/10 clings like a dryer sheet to a pair of velvet pants. A little goes a LONG way here. Unlike DBIR where you have to overspray (however it smells SO good you don’t mind it!) the over spray here is a bit hurtful. Like. Make you wanna cry 😢 however it’s very pleasant and crowd pleasing. I’d say if you’re a donna LOVER and even an Alien Goddess fan then you need DBIR INTENSE if for anything the longevity. The donna DNA is there just so much more power! I’d give a SOLID 8/10!

I love this a lot ... but this isn't creamy vanilla. Because of whipped pleasure I'm falling in love with caramel/vanilla and jasmin combo but this isnt that and the notes dont list a sour cherry note But I either smell sour cherry and black currant or red currant or something like that. Maybe cranberry. It is very obvious that there are red berries all throughout the perfume journey but sometimes it's the combination of certain notes that creates the feel of a third note.. I dont see how this combination though can produce a sour cherry or red currant note .. It has an element of what's in Midnight fantasy by britney spears but less blueish more reddish. As if u amped up the sour cherry and raspberry instead of the plum note Anyways this then becomes jasmin-ey spiced deep red berry with a lot of vanilla but more jasmin than vanilla. I love it.. it is unique to me.. very feminine sexy. less sweet but also less vanilla-ey than the original born in roma. Og born in roma becomes a bit too sweet and spicy to me after smelling it constantly for an hour. But I still like original Smells kinda like wine in the opening then like vanilla biscuits.. This smells like cherry liqueur all throughout the olfactory journey . I would wear this for a night out.. The jasmin is not indolic Because the deep boozy red berries are what I smell the most..

I got a bottle of the intense on eBay and i thought i got a fake. I analyzed the bottle and the box so much and watched videos about fakes because it was so light that i couldn’t believe it was “intense”... and i realize it’s just very different from the original. It’s not as soapy perfumy clean and floral. It has the same sweetness and vanilla but virtually no floral or citrus and it just smells like a beachy summery scent. The bottle looking darker is misleading i would have made the bottle a tropical color maybe an ombré fading from turquoise blue to a coral and beige to look like the sea sand and sky so that it’s indicative of a summer beach scent because the tie exactly what it is. With that said after sampling extradose i immediately ordered a full size bottle but its on back order and i may not get it for 2-4 weeks and im on pins and needles because it is absolutely delicious! Like a stronger version of intense but not as much beach vibe even though it is still super sweet. It’s almost a gourmand version. I don’t get a whole lot of booziness but it is just sooo scrumptious. Heavy. THIS is what the intense should have been. The intense should have been marketed as a summer scent.

She walks into the room before you do. Longevity? She’s still there the next morning. Born in Roma Intense is not deep, not niche, not complex - but it is addictive, sexy, and modern. It’s the Valentino that says: “I’m here to have fun, not to behave.” If you want elegance, wear Donna. If you want darkness, wear Noir Absolu. If you want thick, creamy, addictive vanilla, wear Extradose. If you want compliments, heat, and a little chaos, wear this. 8.5/10 — molten, sweet, modern
