Once it’s dried down the mandarin becomes softer and less prominent, while the orange blossom, marshmallows, and Madagascar vanilla stay intertwined throughout the wear, floating on a fluffy, airy, and soft musky marshmallow cloud. The DBIR dna is present here in Ivory, but it’s probably the most subtle in this as compared to the other flankers. This is truly stunning, and I’ll absolutely be grabbing at least 1 backup bottle, if not more! I’m a huge marshmallow fan, so I knew that I absolutely needed this in my collection! This is a sophisticated marshmallow, and doesn’t feel juvenile at all, so it’s perfect for women of all ages. A grown, sophisticated, chic, classy, and elegant marshmallow that’s suitable for all occasions... from just at home, casual, work and/or school, lunch and dinner dates, parties, and even the fancy occasions. This is also one of those unique versatile fragrances that will work wonderfully throughout the whole year. I truly love everything about this, and I really can’t imagine anyone who would truly dislike it because it’s a very pleasant scent! It’s definitely a fantastic crowd pleaser, and I’ve already received several compliments in just the 3 days that I’ve been wearing it! I’m not a big fan of the OG, but I do own a mini bottle of it as well as large bottles of the limited editions Pink (2023), and The Gold (2024), both of which I really enjoy! The Pink version has always been my favorite of the whole line! However, this new Ivory has already stolen my heart, and is at least tied with Pink, if not actually surpassing it as my favorite! Even the bottle is beautiful, and is very fitting for the scent! The only downside is that it’s completely opaque, so there’s no way to see how much is left, not even if you hold it up to a light. I truly cannot get enough of this one, I’m constantly sniffing my wrists! I can’t help but to smile and feel happy every time I get a whiff of it! There’s something happy about it, but it’s also cozy and comforting! It’s absolutely delightful, and certainly quite a signature worthy fragrance! I can see it being one of my signature fragrances, and I hope that I’m able to get a couple/few more bottles! I’m so thankful that I ordered it as soon as it dropped on the app (Monday 8/25) because oddly, I noticed that by Wednesday (8/27) that it was already listed as being sold out on the Sephora app. That’s absolutely wild if it’s completely sold out already. I sure hope it becomes available again because I just 1 bottle definitely won’t be enough for me with how much I love this! Ivory is the softest of the DBIR ones that I previously mentioned. Honestly, I do wish that it was stronger, but I don’t mind that much because it’s just such an incredible scent, and the performance isn’t bad! The longevity is really good, I get at least 8+ hours on my skin. The projection is soft, it radiates out about 2-3 feet from me. They do share notes of mandarin, orange blossom, and vanilla. ✨PDM Oriana - This might be the most similar because of its fruity/citrusy notes, orange blossom, marshmallow, and musk. This is one of my favorite fragrances, as is Ivory quickly becoming one as well. ✨Kilian LDBS - This is somewhat similar as it’s predominantly vanilla marshmallow with orange blossom. It’s a bit sweeter, warmer, more rich, and has slightly more depth. ✨JPG Classique Pin Up - Somewhat similar to Ivory as well as LDBS. It shares similar notes of mandarin, orange blossom, vanilla, marshmallow, and musk. ✨YSL Black Opium Glitter - It shares similar notes of mandarin, orange blossom, vanilla, marshmallow, and musk. However, this is a deeper and warmer scent with additional notes of pear, coffee, and patchouli. ✨D&G Pour Femme Intense - Somewhat similar because it’s a sweet marshmallow scent with orange blossom, and mandarin. However, it’s a lot more floral, and has a lovely sandalwood note too. ✨Commodity Milk - Just slightly similar because it’s a sweet vanillic and musky marshmallow scent. It’s much more creamy and woody with additional notes of milk, mahogany, tonka bean (giving the warm vanillic scent). ✨Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows - Slightly similar because it’s also a somewhat citrusy and musky marshmallow scent that also has vanilla orchid. ✨Phlur Heavy Cream - Only slightly similar because it’s a sweet and fluffy vanilla marshmallow scent with subtle touches of citrus. Overall it’s much more lactonic, and has a creamy coconut note. ✨BBW Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds - Again, slightly similar because it’s sweet, powdery, and creamy vanilla marshmallow. However, it has no citrusy notes, orange blossom, or musk.

It’s a marshmallow scent for the clean girl aesthetic. Instead of being super sugary sweet and decadent, it’s more like the powdery coating on the outside of a marshmallow instead of a mouthful of marshmallows. It’s more delicate feeling overall. It’s definitely following the current trend of “clean girl gourmands” that have been becoming more popular lately. Think much more YSL Black Opium Glitter and JHAG Powder Love as opposed to Kilian LDBS or Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow. It’s actually extremely similar to the first 2 I mentioned. It’s a sweet, fluffy, powdery, musky, and vanilla marshmallow intertwined with radiant orange blossom. If you can’t get ahold of Ivory then I highly recommend JHAG Powder Love, it’s *almost* a dupe! I’m also reminded of D&G Pour Femme Intense, JPG Classique Pin Up, PdM Oriana, although these last 2 are sweeter than DBIR Ivory. It is a bit confusing reading notes of marshmallow, but not expecting them to be super sweet and gourmand, especially when blind buying. I’m not usually a super big DBIR fan, although I do own a few of them including Ivory, Pink PP, and Gold, and I do plan on getting Extradose. No idea where all the hate comes from but this is FANTASTIC . I do get a powdery vanilla musk vibe . It reminds me of something I used to know and love back in the day and I can’t put a finger on it . I definitely sense a marshmallow now. This is fluffy, airy, musky, vanillic , slightly citrus and has a very sophisticated powdery texture Yes the dbir dna is there but it does its own thing . I love this I would have bought a back up but unfortunately it is nowhere to be found. The perfume inside has taken on a darker color as well from when I first saw it. Had this since it first came out and it has changed for the better in terms of scent , sillage, & projection, lasting power, alllll of it. I’m currently in the deep dry down phase and it’s just so cozy, cacooning, fluffy vanilla musk and that marshmallow needed a little time to develop! This is amazing seriously, it’s the best one from the DBIR line up. Note: DOES not smell like BO Glitter at all. BO Glitter pulls way more of a sharper orange blosson note and the coffee is prominent on my skin. Despite what others mention about it smelling “vintage” , “old lady and “a grandma” it does not pull that way on my skin , for reference I am 33. I would say test on skin but since it’s sold out everywhere and limited edition I guess not many more people would come across that issue anyway.

This perfume gets more hate than politicians and I don’t know why. I’m still convinced the weird hate reviews are a means of gatekeeping, but I digress. This is a marshmallow scent for those who want marshmallow without smelling like something edible. It’s beautifully executed. It is not at all “old lady” or terrible like some will have you believe. You smell all the listed notes. It’s floral light citrus and marshmallows. They did something right in this bottle and the compliments I get on it are plentiful. I am 37 and it does not age me and is not vintage like some describe it. There’s a reason this thing sold out in the US faster than I can blink. I am glad I got it when I did because a week later it literally disappeared from all retailers. I belong to multiple perfume groups on Facebook and the hate this perfume got had people selling or returning their bottles immediately after receiving them. Now several months later, I see all the regrets and I see them trying to buy. Whenever there’s a sale post with this, it sells before anything else. Moral of the story: please form your own opinions and don’t rely on what others think. Just because someone hates something, doesn’t mean you should too.

The first time I sniffed Ivory at Sephora (late summer), I found it uninteresting—maybe even a little plasticky. But in early October I sprayed it on my wrist on a whim and could not stop sniffing myself on the way home. I’d tested a few other fragrances that day, though, so I wasn’t sure if it was Ivory I loved or something else. I came back to test it again in late October, then again in early November, and finally committed to a full bottle. To me, Ivory is what Donna Born in Roma wants to be. The original DBiR feels two-dimensional on my skin—like every fruit/floral and amber note is shouting at me all at once. Ivory has nuance that develops over time: a creamy-clean marshmallow that softens and backgrounds the sweet orange blossom, and a touch of green mandarin that keeps it from veering into flat gourmand territory. It’s like a sweeter, more designery cousin of Kilian Princess. This has become one of my favorite winter fragrances, and always gets me complimented. It's an easy wear because even though the marshmallow here is definitely sweet, it's not sweet in a synthetic or syrupy overload way—there's just soft, clean, yet striking marshmallow.

It’s so good... Smells really powdery to me. Powdery sweet and still classy, pretty and feminine. In its current state it does not last too long on me sadly which make me not see the full potential through :( . The smell is really not offensive I think. I can’t see that it’s over bearing but it really isn’t boring either, at least not to me. But, with patience & time I believe it will evolve better. All vanilla perfumes I own tend to become their true self after about 9-12 months which is maybe partly obvious partly annoying. The maceration just brings out a better silleage I guess. They also tend to smell a bit better. So I’m not too worried about the staying power in this one. I’ll wait for the goodness cus the smell sure is so yummy it’s worth it. But I still will be using it here and there now too because I can’t resist it! Also the bottle is so gorgeous it looks so cute on my shelf. Bonus bonus !!

People thought I was crazy when I said I smelled hairspray but this is literally the description "Inspired by Manhattan's nightlife in the 1970s, this scent reflects a spirit of inclusivity and individual expression" I love it and decided to just put some in my travel atomizer. Because I love it so much. I would love a backup bottle. I think it's so unique but the longevity isn't there. I'm not an over sprayer but I sprayed 15 sprays and about 5 hours later it was gone. I'm going to mention, if you are going to a club restaurant or somewhere with odor/perfume everywhere then it'll drown this scent out for sure. This i would wear to the mall, shopping, Dr visits, errands, grocery shopping. I do smell some Ldbs in there which is one of my faves so I'm excited about this fragrance I love orange blossom. Soapy fragrances too.

I loved DBIR Pink PP - & I thought i would like this one too and i do - its a soft creamy, dreamy (musk, marshmellow) version. It doesnt have a crazy lasting power buts its the version of the clean girl, (out of the shower) vibes that ive been looking for. Its a sweet gentle musk. Im not a fan of the narciso rodriguez musk range at all, it feels old and stuffy. But this is the style of Musk i was hoping for. Im sure there are other perfumes out there much cheaper that are very similar but i have yet to find them myself. It reminds me of a less citrus forward version of mont blanc signature (white bottle) which got me excited about perfume in the first place. I am a vanilla lover - and this is soft, fluffy and delicious. Yum. If it wasnt $300 a pop i would have 4 back up bottles of this and the pink PP.

This is gorgeous ✨✨✨ and a gorgeous surprise! I blind bought this fully expecting to dislike it but I love it and I’m thrilled! The orange blossom is powdery sweet here with an additional dusting of vanilla. Soft musks and some marshmallows in the background...the green mandarin note balances the sweetness very nicely, thankfully. I didn’t want this to smell like a cheap marshmallow bomb...This is very soft and quiet, though. The longevity on this one is okay, 3-4 hours, not too bad. The bottle itself is gorgeous in person, the prettiest one in that whole Donna Born In Roma lineup in my opinion. Personally, it’s a keeper. I love it, it’s beautiful, soft, sweet but not gourmand sweet, it has warmth and will be very nice for the upcoming -ber months ahead (September, October, November and December).

I've read so many reviews and honestly, it's so mixed that I figured I would just go buy it and see what the talk is about. Most people say there is no marshmallow note, and that it's not sweet, and that it even smells like spoiled milk. I genuinely do not think so. This is my nose talking so of course everyone is going to have a different opinion. It opened up very green and moderately sweet with the orange blossom and then with a really lovely soft vanilla and marshmallow on the dry down. I typically don't wear 'female' perfume, but I love anything vanilla and marshmallow (and limited edition), so I figured why not. This scent alone: 7/10. P.S. I then thought to myself 'what else has orange blossom?' YSL MYSLF L'absolu. This layering combo is insane. Trust meeee. Together: 9/10.

How I love this fragrance! I sprayed this on my hand and then walked around the mall getting wafts of light, fluffy flowers and a delicious vanilla. So good I went back to purchase a $190 designer perfume but it was sold out. I finally found a ship to store Sephora and here I am happily floating in cloud of loveliness feeling like the best version of my feminine self. The fragrance opens with the orange blossom and other white flowers softened by the marshmallow but it's not cloying or as dense as LDBS or Oriana. It's lighter than those and then it settles into a gorgeous vanilla (I don't smell the musk). It doesn't have longevity right now but it's also brand new and the vanilla needs to macerate. I'm good with waiting for more longevity as it matures. Total love!

I honestly don’t understand all the negative comments about Ivory because it’s beautiful. I guess it’s because most people were expecting it to be more marshmallow-heavy and gourmand, so the born in roma floral dna is throwing everyone off. To me, it’s a sweet yet uplifting vanilla floral that feels super easy to wear and really elegant. It feels young and fresh without reading juvenile. The marshmallow makes the vanilla so fluffy and so sweet, but the orange blossom and green mandarin keep it from ever being too heavy or sugary. It has that modern, signature Valentino vibe—feminine, pretty, and versatile. I’ll be reaching for it a lot!!

This smells like DBIR (very light on DBIR profile) and kayali musk12 had a baby on a bed of marshmallow dust. This is very light, airy powdery and musky. Super feminine. It's giving soft life vibes. I really like it. Not mad at my purchase at all. I wore this today at work and my co worker told me I smell pretty. She was about a foot away from me. This lasted 8+ hours on me today (only sprayed on skin (10 sprays)), close scent bubble and trails behind you according to my coworker. Excited to see how this matures. It's a keeper for me.

So I only ever saw the notes when J ran across any info for this. I was expecting a sweeter perfume like Love, Don't Be Shy. This is a soft floral vanilla. The marshmallow note disappears in the formula for me which while disappointing it isn't the end of the world. Fair longevity. Now that I know it's 70s inspired the profile makes much more sense. EDITED 9/11/2025: Okay so she needs to sit. The marshmallow even 9ish days out from getting her is much more prominent. Definitely closer to Love, Don't be Shy, but soft.

Apart from what others may think or say about this fragrance, I am truly in love with it. I find it very likable, soft, and enjoyable. Softer than the original, yet still different in its own way. I can clearly pick up the orange blossom and marshmallow, while the vanilla comes through more subtly. To me, it works perfectly as an everyday perfume. I don't think is similar to LDBS or the other limited edition of DBIR Pink PP. Since it is a limited edition, I made sure to grab two bottles, and I couldn't be happier 💖

I just received Valentino Ivory today, so can’t speak to longevity etc just yet, but it smells like a very pretty girlie girl fragrance. The fluffy marshmallow and vanilla hit first and the drydown gives a sweet powdery creamy musk. The DBIR DNA plays throughout in the background. I love this, but I’m biased, as I love marshmallow, vanilla, musks and sugary powder bombs. I have a lot of the above “reminds me of” section and would layer with any of them or any of the other DBIRs... or not.

I love this so much. I just came to say that yesterday I sprayed this at 5:30 p.m. And woke up at 8:45. A.m. And can still smell it. This is the very first time this has happened with this fragrance. I wore bath& body works milk body butter with it, however, I always wear oils and lotions with any fragrance. I can't say that I really over sprayed, maybe 6 sprays max. I get migraines so that's almost too much for me. I just woke up and was shocked. I had to run and tell this.

I love this scent. The perfect choice for those days you wish to feel cosy and share your perfume only with those you love. Ivory is not beast mode - rather she is gentle but so very beautiful. With my skin chemistry she lasts several hours, I am more than happy with the performance. I easily detect orange blossom, marshmallow and a delicate vanilla. Do not expect LDBS or Oriana vibes - Ivory is a completely different character. Wear her in winter and enjoy!

I hesitated to get my hands on a bottle of this after reading all the negative reviews last September/October. I collect the Donna BIR line and it’s the only one I was missing, so I ended up getting a bottle from eBay. I really like it, glad I didn’t listen! On me it’s a nice creamy citrus vanilla white floral with a hint of musk. Can’t stop smelling my arm. I think I could wear this in any season or time of day, it doesn’t lean any particular way to me.

Got a chance to try it today! It is really pretty! I do love Valentino scents - they have always worked very well for me. This has DNA of the OG edp but it's softer, lighter, gentler, more toned down due to musk and marshmallow. If you like this line and wanted something softer this will be a must... (my wallet is already crying in a corner) EDIT - After wearing it a bit more on my skin drydown is incredible similar to Love don't be shy.

I haven't tried on skin yet but I loved this enough to splurge on the ridiculous price for a full bottle. It's a pretty airy sweet scent. I also love Marshmallow Musk from Ifre which isn't a super sweet marshmallow dense either. I find this more wearable than a super sweet scent. I'm okay with it being limited edition though as I'm less sure I'd splurge a second time around. But will have in my rotation for now.

I got the last bottle in North America yesterday lol. I smelled this a few months ago and I was surprised how much I liked it, how long it lasted, and how many compliments I received. I don't think it is super sophisticated but that doesn't make it bad. It's like a clean fresh gourmand that seems to stand out on my skin. —still love this. I smell coconut in there sometimes

Absolutely LOVE it. It smells like an Orange Creamsicle first spray it strong orange, but after a few seconds you can smell the creaminess marshmallow and vanilla. It’s NOT LDBS at all, a bit closer to Oriana but different. Crowd pleaser, everyone in my house Loved it. I still like BIR Extra-dose better but its very strong. . This is a nice everyday, date, office perfume.

When i first saw the marshmallow note, i thought this would be an ultra sweet gourmand. But its actually a sweet and refreshing fragrance. Its not suffocating like most gourmands are (atleast to me). I love the addition of mandarins, its such a rare note to actually smell. Overall a playful and sweet perfume that you could wear everyday (if you like subtle gourmands)

It someone made a sparkly vanilla-marshmallow flavored champagne, it would taste like this smells. It's absolute perfection! I wear it alone and layered with other fragrances to give them a sweet sparkle. I bought two bottles, am already halfway through the first one, and DREADING the day I finish the second. I'm hoping they'll bring it back.

Such a great scent that can be worn all year round. I first get Freshness from the green mandarin, soon after I get a sensual floral aroma of orange blossom, she's pretty, she's delicate. marshmallow bring a soft but sweet touch, then I am left with a smooth Madagascan vanilla and musk that oozes feminity. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE

This smells wonderful! I am so happy that Valentino decided NOT to make this more gourmand or anything like Love Don't Be Shy. There are so many other fragrances that mimic that scent profile and not everyone wants that and quite frankly, many of us are sick of! The performance can be better, but the scent is to die for!

Not identical but smells very close to Prada Candy Kiss on me. I thought it would wear very soft but I definitely notice wafts of it. As a huge fan of white musk, this is a love for me! Comparing it to Black Opium Glitter, imagine that but without the coffee note. Glitter's vanilla note is also a bit more pronounced.

My fiance absolutely adores this scent and it's sold out EVERYWHERE. Had I known this would be a limited edition release I would not have waited until holiday season to purchase. If someone that bought a bottle isn't a fan and would be willing to part ways with theirs, I would like to buy it from you.

This was the only perfume bought after exactly one sniff! It was an instant crush. I love the direct smell, the notes hitting my memory more than my nose. It’s lady like, sweet without the bakery’s touch, white without the sharpness, delicate without being weak. Pairs great with an extreme amber.

This is good!!! I think the bad reviews are just coming from people who expected this to be yum boujee marshmallow 2.0. To me, this is a wearable love dont be shy. It takes out the grape cough syrup note in LDBS and softens it to make it more palatable to the abpopking palate. GAS

I like it and especially because it's not that much marshmallow in it. Yes, of course it has a distinctive touch of Born in Roma (because it is from that serie). But then i like orange blossoms and vanilla. It's not that sweet so ppl expecting that will be disappointed.

At first, I was disappointed, as I expected a gourmand fragrance. Once I got over that, I have grown to absolutely love her. I wear her almost every day and get tons of compliments. I hope they make this a permanent part of the collection!

this is valentinos best fragrance. it's not a gourmand marshmallow which is what a lot of people were hoping for. it's a sophisticated, soft, powdery and fluffy orange blossom vanilla. it's addicting!

I absolutely LOVE THIS, especially with Native Vanilla and Honey body wash. Ugh it's so GOOD. The mandarin and marshmallow are such a great combo. I'm going to get a bigger bottle!

I don't understand the hate for this perfume. I think it delivers what is promises. Most predominant notes are Marshmallow and Orange Blossom. I have no regrets.

Reminds me of Love Dont be Shy but gone clean

I as a fragrance reviewer blogger YouTuber whatever you wanna label me. I know better than to just go with the hype. Good or bad. I didn’t snag this right away because it was too pricy. Plus it sold out fast on Sephora. I have been planning my purchases and savings some discounts. Long story short. This landed at my Sephora in kohls and they actually had stock. I blind bought/picked up and knew I’d take back if I disliked like everyone said I would. Wrong! I love this. It’s a perfect sleeper hitter. It’s not strong like the intense or EXTRADOSE. It’s nothing like the gold and I’m sorry but even I was worried it would just be pink pp in a white bottle. They’re literally NOTHING alike. This does not smell like ORIANA or love don’t be shy or black opium glitter. All scents I have and love. I can 10000% say it’s NOTHING like LDBS and Pink PP. it has the sweet softness that ORIANA dries down too, and it has the familiar Donna born in Roma smell, and I will say it does have a HINT of black opium glitter - especially the soft musky marshmallow. But. It is not EXACTLY alike so I stick with the. It’s not like those. This is creamy and musky. Very musky. The soft marshmallow and musk stand out the most on MY skin. This to my nose is the office safe Donna born in Roma. The original the jasmine can be so heavy and thick even though DBIR to me is weak - I love it so much it is very weak. The intense and EXTRADOSE are BAM versions. But this. Is the most close to the Donna born in Roma with the fruity softness but the musk marshmallow and mandarine really shine. I will play with her more for longevity and silage but I am glad I took the chance on her - and got some $$$ off so I ain’t mad. I will also say the white bottle is a bit of a let down it’s not as pretty in person. But. It’s ok. 👍🏽

In the opening of Ivory, I get a marshmallow and orange blossom fluffy-barely there aura the most. Then in the mid, more citrus comes out but in a smooth fresh way like in Killian Princess Eau Fraiche. Then it returns to the orange blossom, closest to PDM Oriana but less soapy citrus, while having a little bubble gum vibe. In the deep dry down, I heavily smell the dry-down of the original Donna Born in Roma with orange blossom. I thought I accidentally sprayed the original on myself even though I don't have a bottle lol. People were def thinking Ivory was going to be sticky sweet marshmallow lol. It's not sticky sweet but I still think younger people can wear. It's neither mature nor juvenile, but definitely girly, fluffy, and feminine. So anyone who wants that, it will work as an all year round vanilla scent since it's light enough from the airy fresh citrus, not zesty, zingy, or too green, mixed with a cloud-like orange blossom for sure and marshmallow dusting. For performance, consider that it matches the nature of the scent. Soft and non-intrusive. I found it to last well for about 5ish hours, while someone I know couldn't detect it after minutes. It'll probably get sweeter and stronger with use and time as it sits, like it got more marshmallow powdery with more tries. Also unpopular opinion, I really dislike the bottle color. I know it's ivory but it's too stark of a white combined with the enamel. It looks cheap and like shark teeth. Sorry. They didn't quite get it right like My Devotion's bottle.

I have tried this 3 times in the store, spraying quite a large amount on, and EVERY time, this reminds me of rather of some could-be flanker, like "Guerlain Insolence Poudrée EdT" rather than anything in the YSL Libre or Opium line. YSL has oily jasmine (often jasmine sambac, which some of the Donna Born in Roma perfumes also have, but not Ivory). Opium is slightly more similar, but it has that coffee note across the whole line that I would prefer not being there. Also, BOG has a slight oily smell on me that I really don't enjoy - not sure what it's even from. It's not a jasmine note, but smells almost like sunflower pil. Why does this smell so different on me than everyone else? Is it the climate? For some reason, I get a faint violet smell, which isn't even listed. But in general, the smell is a dry, powdered sugar, very faint orange blossom, and powdery musk. Very dry smell, for those who like that. I do... which is why I got a 100 mL bottle of this perfume. My issue with both this and the Black Opium Glitter: they are both part of that "clean girl aesthetic"/"very demure" vibe, and they have almost no lasting power. I can spray 3-4 sprays on an area, and the sillage becomes intimate within an hour or two, at most. I don't need everyone around me to smell my perfume, but I would like to be able to smell it myself, at least, and this barely leaves any smell. There are other, prettier smells that are in the same lane, but that last better. I think it's overpriced and that there are better perfumes.

I was got when I test-sprayed in store. I own and love gourmand perfumes like Nebras and Hypnotic Vanilla, but this is on another level of sophistication. The opening is creamy, luminous, and sweet without being juvenile, almost like white florals wrapped in whipped cream. As it settles, it balances elegance and deliciousness in a way that feels both modern and timeless. On my skin, it leans slightly sweeter (which I adore), but it never tips into cloying. The sillage is soft but noticeable, leaving a creamy floral aura that feels soulful — not just pretty. For me, this dethroned Love Don’t Be Shy as my favorite luxury fragrance. Where Kilian is indulgent and playful, Valentino is radiant, refined, and still mouthwatering. A masterpiece that proves mainstream designer can still surprise and enchant. After a about a week: At first spray, I was enchanted — Ivory Edition smelt like it could dethrone some of my favorites. The opening is creamy, slightly gourmand, and gave me that instant wow. But as time went, the soapy facet started coming forward, and for me, it disrupted the marshmallow-vanilla warmth I was hoping would shine. It’s definitely elegant and has a clean sweetness, but it juuuuust slightly missed the mark. Ivory started very promising and strong, but it didn’t hold its magic.😮💨

I'm reviewing my bottle that is fresh off the truck. I ordered from Sephora yesterday morning and it arrived today. At first spray, it's very similar to the original DBIR and the Intense, but more powdery. The white florals are prominent and the vanilla and marshmallow are not very noticeable in any gourmand sense. They simply provide a powdery aspect. Think OG+powder. As it dries down on the skin, the orange blossom, which reads as jasmine to me, starts dissipating and then the hints of marshmallow and vanilla become more prominent. It's still not a "gourmand" fragrance. It's similar to Black Opium Glitter, BUT, the notes unravel in the opposite direction. In Glitter, you get the marshmallow up top, which then fades and it becomes the OG. In DBIR Ivory, you get the OG, then the marshmallow and vanilla come in. Both fragrances are still recognizable as their respective pillar fragrances. The bottle of Ivory is beautiful. Is this worth $200? I I'm not sure. I guess that depends on how much you like the OG DBIR. I do like it. Will have to continue testing and see if it changes after settling down from transport shock. I'm not sure how much gourmand type sillage this is going to give. These designer fragrance prices are getting crazy, if you ask me.
