Lady Code

I was given a sample and the moment I sprayed it on my wrist it reminded me of something very very familiar... it smells exactly like Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Extreme version which is discontinued. It used to be my signiture scent for years, I really love it.

I received this as a free gift with purchase. I want to love it...really badly. The younger generation will definitely find it too “mature”. First impressions? It reminds me of Elizabeth and James Bourbon and Rose mix...but sweeter...Looking at the notes I see there is no sandalwood but I swear I smell it. I like it...it’s okay...but it’s not great... it already smells familiar and done before...like the other commenter said perhaps whatever note is the sweetness- if it was toned down or left out entirely this would be special scent. Lastly, I get the pink pepper and jasmine...but almond? Not so much. I gifted a second rollerball to a friend who has magnificent tase in perfume and she loves it. So, maybe it's just me.

Simple, but elegant scent. It is “mature” in a lady like way. Not old lady-ish way. Smells classy and expensive, but I recommend you to test it first to see if it’s worth the price. Other reviewer is right, it does smell a bit like the perfume counter. I usually get sick being at the perfume counter too long, but this perfume doesn’t make me sick at all. It also is a non offensive scent. It reminds me of Tandre Poison I used to wear. If you like sweet smelling perfume, worth a try.

this is nice! not worth retail but if you can pick it up for a discount, I think its worth it. The Glass bottle is HEAVY! it's not a bad fragrance, don't know why it's rated so low.... maybe because of its retail price?

This perfume has a lot of promise with the scent profile, but the sillage and longevity are severely lacking. I always apply an oil or lotion prior to applying my scents, but even with that this only lasts for about an hour. I genuinely feel like I wasted money on this and am incredibly disappointed.

I can't imagine paying full price for that. Not bad, but like why that much?!

Smells just like Youth Dew by Estee Lauder. I hate this fragrance, as did my husband and my adult daughter. That said, I also don’t like EL Youth Dew...but some people, especially men, love it. On me this smells like black licorice and tobacco with a base long lasting note of burnt vanilla. It’s just not my vibe. I prefer fresh, citrus, floral....and this has none of that.

Hello Fragranticans I came here to see what everyone else thought but Lady Code hasn't attracted any attention. I haven't got an enormous amount to say about it, but will have a go at a review in the hope it will inspire others to chip in and post something more informative. The top notes are quite fresh and floral, which must be the jasmine, but a sweetness come through very early on too. I would say that it is the addition of the sweetness which makes this a perfume very much in the modern idiom. About 4 hours in, the fresh floral notes have disappeared and I am left with some residual sweetness, a hint of almond and a fuzzy, musky base. It isn't projecting very much at all. This doesn't seem special enough to be "Private Collection". To me, that is the line that runs alongside more mass-market fragrances and is aimed at connoisseurs who are willing to pay more for something that is more exclusive, more special, possibly more unusual but definitely of the highest quality. Lady Code is quite nice. It just doesn't come across to me as terribly special. I think the current trend for the addition of sweet notes to perfumes is going to become the signature of this era of perfumery and will become as instantly recognisable and as dated as, for example, the great big 1980s powerhouse perfume fashion for overwhelming a room. However, for those who enjoy this contemporary trend, Lady Code is worth a try.

Shimmering, elegant, sophisticated, bright. Combination of pink fruit, white florals, and nuts is fantastic. Perfect fragrance for a well put-together, mature, classy woman. Found this perfume hard to acquire except for a 100 ml bottle selling in department stores for over £200 until I found someone selling the discovery set on Ebay which includes a 10 ml travel spray of this.

Very nice, designer-smelling, hard-to-dislike but definitely not worth the ~$400 asking price. Opens very sweet and smells like the perfume counter, dries to a pleasant, non-indolic sweet jasmine.
