Moonlight Patchouli Le Parfum

I find well made rose fragrances incredibly sexy. sexier than sweet and sickly scents. if a rose is given a dark vibe, I personally don't think anything else can top that. this scent... oh man. this is WITCHY made my mom smell it and she described it better than I could: this is a scent only for things that are made in the dark. it reminds me of being lost in a forest in the night. the only thing that lights your path is the magnetizing glow of the full moon's light. this is definitely feminine leaning. it's the best companion for dark red or black evening dresses. this is lux. definitely not a daily scent, not a lit up room scent. this is black tie worthy. this is only for special ocassions. and even if you're an introvert that mostly stays at home throughout the year, this is a fragrance you'd still want to get and see on your shelf, knowing your dark, feminine, mysterious side is perfectly captured in a bottle. if you are that kind of woman. this is a must buy longevity? can't say the best. tried it on my skin and before it was 5 hours, it was gone. still, you don't need this to linger more as nothing in the dark should stay longer than that anyway. Ludovico Einaudi's "The Path of The Fossils - Day 1" would definitely be the classical music version of this fragrance. And Kavinsky's Nightcall would be the slightly pop version of it I'll be getting this for myself before the year ends. I definitely want this to stay in my corner for my witchy, very rare ocassions. 🌹

It opens with a strong suede-powder accord, something in the vein of Ange ou Demon or Putain des Palaces; then morphs into a bright fresh rose, very similar to Gris Dior; and finally it dries down onto a mentholated patchouli with a smooth suede. It fascinates me how much this morphs. The sillage is rather intimate/moderate, but it lasts some 6-7 hs as a skin scent. Definitely on my top 5.

I should agree that I loved the OG but adding La Parfum was a plus to my collection.. Im enjoying the concentrated vision of it where I can sense all at once. I like it so much, a lovely ending for the end of the year. Over all 9/10

Opens like Oud Silk Mood or TF Noir de Noir. Which is to say - a Heavy Rose/Oud or Rose/Patchouli type open. Open is very nice. But it dries down to a very strong menthol patchouli. The amber suade smell mentholated to me. I don't like patchouli so its a no for me. Its very good quality though. 6/10

This perfume is very similar to the original version. However, it feels similar to gris dior or the woods collection eden. But this perfume is sweeter than gris dior and similar to the woods collection eden.

Way too much suede. It calms down after the opening but still. I am also getting the mentholated patchouli. Longevity is an easy 12 hours

This is my first full bottle niche perfume. I have sniffed over 100 perfumes and this is the first one I think worth buying full bottle. Opens with smooth leather note which I loved and brings rose along with it. Patchouli shines during dry down, gives a light elevation of leather and rose mix. I would say 7-8 longevity however what’s missing in this perfume is silage. Overall this is mature, dark, sexy very well balanced piece of art.

I have both the Le parfum and the EDP original version and I must say that this version is an improvement over the original. This version has a more linear fragrance palate but it has greater projection, silllage and performance. I always felt like the original version was incomplete and this version fixed all the issues I had with the original. This is an outstanding fragrance and full bottle plus backup bottle worthy. 9/10.

I loved the original so much and have been eagerly anticipating this one. I no longer have the original to make a comparison, but I this this is simply gorgeous and it makes me very very happy!

Moonlight Patchouli OG is way way better!
