Patchouli Blanc

A lot of people say this is more female but I disagree. This is definitely a unisex fragrance. Very clean, inoffensive scent with a slight spice twist at the base makes it perfect for a large gatherings (whether that’s in an office, in a restaurant or at a wedding) without it being over powering. When compared to Creed, Maison Crivelli etc, I think £150 is a good price for 75ml. Comparison to Bubble Bath is correct but with Bubble Bath being too “fake”, this is the winner by some distance. Only downside is too much aldehydes, but still really love it.

Clean and musky. Gorgeous. It does not smell like TF white patchouli. This one is more musky rose with clean patchouli. It does give me the same viber as Idylle Edp. So if you like Idylle Edp I assume that you also will like this one. I personally prefer this one over Idylle. Idylle has a bitt messy opening, her it is straight and clean. I think I need to find a backup bottle!

The scents some of you compare this to amazes me and question where you got your sample from. I purchased my discovery kit from department store. I will be purchasing a full bottle. The longevity on my skin is over 8 hours. I have nothing to compare it to. I just know it does not smell like the suggestions on this page.

Imagine this: you’re 5. Your mom just came back from shopping. Its the middle of winter. She comes home and immediately hugs you and gives you a kiss on the forehead. Her coat smells like it has been washed recently. She still has snowflakes on her shoulders from being outside. This is what this perfume feels like.

Nice smelling light fragrance for every day. Blanc or White is truly represented in the scent. Patchouli in the brightest and softest rendition ever created. For those who can't connect with heavy earthy patchouli note, give this a try. What a heavenly scent. VCA nail it again.

If a man in a white shirt at a wedding was a fragrance, this would be it. Damn loud and heavy on the aldehydes, pink pepper, patchouli and rose. But yet it’s still so refined and amazing. Not for everyone tho, and be careful with the sprays. It can be headache inducing for some

I enjoy aldehyde in perfumes so this fragrance was up my alley. Clean musk, patchouli, sandalwood and rose. This is my ideal clean girl fragrance- it has personality, presence and depth. This is no watery wallflower.

Sharp bright rose at opening. Delicate patchouli hinted behind it. Interesting take on the rose patchouli combo.

It smells like a musk oil I like except more heavenly and ethereal and refined and classy and lady like.

I find it quite similar to something Narciso Rodriguez would make. If you are a fan of For Her EDT, test this too. Also, if you like Velvet Haze by Byredo. This is a perfume in this category. Yet I find it more powerful than the Narciso one, I can feel it better on me. For a patchouli perfume this is sensuous and quite clean. It doesn't have all that zing and harshness patchouli sometimes gives.

A lovely, easy going, safe clean musky scent. I don’t perceive it at all as “old fashioned” or vintage. On the contrary - it is in line with Blanche and Lazy Sunday Morning (agree with with a review below). Out of the three, Patchouli Blanc has the weakest longevity. But is so joyful to wear while it lasts.

Really like it! Fresh and clean. A very nice everyday at the office-scent, but not an amazing scent.

Byredo Blanche + a little gentle bit of patchouli, which makes it more elegant than Blanche imo.

I really agree with @LaContessina review. The only thing I would add is I am picking up more black currant or other fruitiness than actual rose here. But this is a very clean girl/office friendly perfume. Everyone will think you wash your clothes in a high end detergent and are not actually wearing a perfume. I also think it is rather forgettable. Not as good as byredo Blanche. Its barely half as good. If you need an office friendly clean girl perfume save your $ for Blanche instead. A black currant heavy laundry powder smell. Boring. Edit: patchouli blanc reminds me of a replicas lazy Sunday morning which I own in a mini. But I like lazy Sunday morning a little better. Once my mini of that is gone I won't buy another. IMO byredo Blanche is still the best office clean girl perfume for the 21st century. I may have to suck up the cost. Try as I might I can't find one as good for less money.

A quiet and sleek take on patchouli, uniquely stripped of its usual depth and earthiness. Was relatively attracted to this after sniffing the cap, but sadly the opening sees a slight funk on my skin—not exactly in the dirty sense, just a bit off-kilter, the presence of something unsettled under its surface. It does elegantly smooth out as it dries down over time, turning into a clean, woody musk with a soft cozy feel and, of course, a floral patchouli in its youth and innocence. This drydown has a powdery core, loving but not much affectionate, warm but not deep. Not a bad fragrance, it just fails to fully grips me really, never diving into any further complexity that may give it that pull. Quite the pleasant one, airy yet reserved, but ultimately not the most beautiful of VCA's offerings.

This fragrance is perfect for everyday wear and has a clean scent to it. To me, it has a fragrance reminiscent of dry wood and washing powder. Initially, I really enjoyed it when I tested it at the store counter. However, when I tried it out alone at home, I realized that the aldehyde smell was too overpowering. 'll be reducing the dosage when wearing it.

Aldehydes are very strong here and because Van Cleef & Arpels fragrances are always so well blended, I am unable to pick up other notes properly except the patchouli, and I cannot place where some fruitiness comes from. It’s too much for my tastes, but I’m sure a clean laundry scent lover would enjoy this a lot, since it smells high quality. It reminds me a lot of a plain detergent. It doesn’t feel very comforting to me, Warm Cotton is in the same vein and is more comforting- this feels more like you’ve gotten ready and this is the final touch when your outfit is modest and polished but not too fancy. It feels a bit rigid to me. Feels too clean. This is better than Bubble Bath and Lazy Sunday Mornings by MM imo more well blended

Clean fragrance, very linear and subdued. Smells like clean laundry, with a pronounced white musk base. It's cold, almost metallic. Loads of adheides make it airy but oh so very cold! Office safe, inoffensive, very low projection, medium longevity. Very forgettable. Has nothing to do with the patchouli as you may remember it, unless you think of the coldness you can have in some green, earthy patchoulis. Indeed the fragrance name is not very apt: it should be called just Blanc. White, clean as a skin scent. The bottle is just stunning, however the scent is not worth the 130 euros they ask for.

I don't know, I expected this fragrance to be a bit more sophisticated. I had to scrub it off my wrist because I found the aldehydes too strong. Overall, a vintage clean laundry scent, too clean, like when you use wayyyy too much fabric softener than needed. I agree with sailor V's analysis. Ps: as the drydown fades away, it almost reminds me of gocce di napoleon from the 80s, sweet memories make this smell more tolerable

This smells like dusty bread crumbs, or like the carpet under the bed. To some, this may smell "soft and homey", but to me, it smells "apparently clean, but not really" home. This also distinctly reminds me of Xerjoff Apollonia, which is the exact same "dusty bread crumbs" profile. This is nothing like Eau De Musk from Narciso Rodrigues, which is a clean, cool musk. This is a warm, bready, dusty smell.
