I'm surprised this isn't rated better overall. I have a bottle from 1999 and compared it side by side with my Tsar 2025. They are the same scent. My vintage bottle shows it's age with some oxidation but overall it has held up extremely well. The 2024 presents brighter top notes and overall sharper profile, but very true to the original. Glad I had a vintage to sample next to as it helped me appreciate how the vintage held up, and how well the new stayed true to the OG.

I'm hurt that the reviews all indicate that this version is nothing like the vintage, which was absolutely legendary. I literally had just seen this, and, already was determined that I was going to purchase it. Not so much, anymore. Maybe, I'll sample it, but, with that name, I can't, in good faith, pretend that I'll be giving it a fair try. If it's different, call it something different. TSAR deserves MUCH better respect than to be inadequately represented.

According to the few reviews over on Parfumo from people who have actually smelled this, it smells nearly identical to the original. Seems to suffer from longevity issues though. Planning to pick up a bottle soon to find out for myself.

What the hell ! I bought the 2023 released version in the Place Vendôme boutique for 150€ for 75ml bottle and now they are selling it 280€ for 100 ml !!! It’s far higher than the 3 years inflation rate ... come on 😤

Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed by this one - I found the amber a bit annoying and misplaced, detracting from the bracing, piney greenness. (I have zero experience of the original).

It's very different from the vintage version of Tsar 👎 why they play the trick with us? We want Tsar with the original formula & not a new fragrance named Tsar 👎😠
