Between Sheets

Another gorgeous fragrance from Van Gils. The initial top notes of citrus and herbs soon fade but the middle notes stay refreshing & clean on the skin for hours. Very hard to find these days in the UK even though VG are still distibuting their fragrances in Europe. If you like Relax by Davidoff then you will like this. Sillage & projection are excellent and longevity is amazing. Whenever I wear this I always get compliments. Between Sheets is aptly named as it is a very sensous fragrance which makes you want to get closer to whoever is wearing it. The matching body & skin care products are also excellent.

I love this one on my husband. It is so damned sexy on him and I keep encouraging him to repurchase. I'm so glad when I can get him away from Eternity for men. My husband can wear it year round. I was kind of confused when I went to smell it from the bottle and the deo stick because honestly; I don't like it directly in the bottle or the stick, but it's fantastically sexy (I'm aware that I'm repetitive) on hub and that's all that matters to me!

Wonderful! I love this on my hubbie,its fresh ,citrusy without being too strong,like ysl por homme. It smels more like the sea,mild fresh and a little little bit spicy in the bottom .

A very "safe" scent; I can't imagine a lot of strict dislikes going this frag's way. I assume this would be more of a mass pleaser than something for a frag enthusiast. I would call it a year around / any occasion kind of scent - however, it lacks character and has no wow-factor to my nose. But I strongly enjoy the dry down where I get a lot of woody notes, some tonka and a touch of citrus. I would recommend this to everyone who just want to buy a fragrance, spray it on, smell nice and move on with their life. Myself, I would use it for the kind of days where I'm on autopilot. Which honestly is quite a big deal - I mean, it's like having a friend you still wanna hang out with even tho you don't feel like being social. Like a dog. It's a dog, in a bottle. Woff. Well, this one is actually very good. Very fresh, comforting, citrusy, sweet. Sensual. 90 ́s male fragrance style masculine. The citrus / tonka combo actually leads my mind to the original armani code. Armani code is of course another type of darker scent thanks to the leather and star anise. Van Gils Between Sheets is much fresher and not quite as rich scent profile. The next scent that came to my mind is Burberry Weekend for men (1997), the same release year as Between Sheets. They both have that citrus / sweet smooth sandalwood honey-ish combination. I like that kind of friendly citrus scent.

Opens citrussy & almost stays that ... Stay's average 3hrs max. Nothing great here .. Update : as it does not stay long i started using it at night not bad..

Fresh citrusy with a slightly woody base. A perfect summer fragrance. It's good but a bit generic.

I got it for xmas 🎄 last year and I quite enjoy it, rating for me is a solid 7,5/10

Got it for christmas, it smells like urinal and citrus. After a couple of hours it smells less like piss, but still a bit too citrusy for me. Would not recommend this to anyone, i feel like there must be better fragrences with a citrus accord.

Not a favourite, was a blind buy based on it being a pretty classic 90s scent. Clean, towards being spicy. Slight sweetness to it, as well as citrus fruits. Think generic men’s shower gels and you’re close. Wouldn’t buy again.

I get that some feel this is synthetic, soapy and to mainstream. But it’s a good one and won’t hurt many around you. Fresh, clean and on my skin I get a sweet, woody body in the dry down. Cheap one but great for the price!

My hubby uses this. It opens citrussy with lemon. I hardly smell any of the other citrusses listed in the topnotes, only lemon (even though that one's not listed). Then the lemon fades away but not completey, it kind of hangs around in the background if that makes any sense. Soon the lavender and the basil make an entrance. I don't get any tonka or vanilla in the one at all, and it's not sweet or anything. Staying power of this one is avarage. Between Sheets is a nice sping/summer scent, I actually might go out and buy hubby another bottle since he's almost out and I quite like it on him. ;)

Only tested as it is one of dozens of this kind. But I cannot atest to any of the negativity. Yes, it's been done hundred times or more, nothing new. But it has its own twist. It's pleasant citrusy fragrance that lasts and projects decently (4-6hrs, two-three feet for about 1.5hrs). Quite fresh, but soapy, non offensive. I even might buy a 50ml as it has this edge that my citrus-soapy collection is lacking (price is ca.22usd for 100ml).

Hovers a few inches above smelling like cheap generic synthetics. It's not quite there but you can feel the proximity. It's not long lasting. It can be sickly sweet in warm weather. It packs a refreshing initial blast that works in cold dry winter air. Probably the worst Van Gils fragrance by a cosmic factor when compared to VG classic and VG Basic instinct.

I love citrus smells on men and this is a favourite of mine.Its so fresh and clean-smelling.So simple and masculin,a true masculin smell.There is no feminine in this,like le male and some others with tons of vanilla.Highly recommended to the guys.

Was the scent my husband used when we met, I disagree with negative reviews. It's a lively, rich, passionate scent, not over powering. Smells fantastic and is a favorite of his/ mine. The scent does not fade.

Kind of strange and sour. Not my favourite.

This is one of my alltime favorites !
